Traders, The week has ended and Bitcoin has thrown us a bit of a curveball. But should we have expected this drop? And is it a healthy sign. I am of the persuasion that it is! I feel that as long as the Bitcoin price remains above the 50/100 day moving average intersection (which coincides with a .618 Fibonacci retracement level), Bitcoin remains bullish and I, myself, will become even more of a bull than I currently am! Traders, Now that Jasmy has hurdled to the top side of our descending purple trendline, I have become interested again. I am watching closely and believe price suppression is no longer as huge a factor as it once was. In fact, the wallet that I have been tracking in all of my videos is now almost zeroed out! A good sign to be sure. But even more significant is the fact that Jasmy now seems to be adhering to proper technical analysis trends and patterns again. Could they actually backfire? - Saudi Arabia rejects Biden's request for talks on increasing oil production and instead announces that they are considering accepting Yuan instead of dollars for Chinese Oil sales (WSJ (http://wsj.com/articles/saudi-arabia-considers-accepting-yuan-instead-of-dollars-for-chinese-oil-sales-11647351541) - India's move to "explore" alternative payment channels with Russia to avoid sanctions (https://www.livemint.com/politics/policy/russia-india-explore-opening-alternative-payment-channels-amid-sanctions-11647371750761.html) - With official inflation numbers running at 8% and climbing the Federal Reserve is being forced to raise interest rates for the first time since 2018 (https://www.chron.com/business/article/Fed-Approves-First-Interest-Rate-Hike-Since-2018-17008947.php). Multiple rate hikes are projected. The last time rates were raised markets crashed and the Fed quickly reversed course. This leads many to say that the Fed won't really raise rates as much as projected, because the market won't let them, but what these people don't seem to get is that in order to finance the U.S. national debt, new debt has to be sold every year. As inflation rises countries like Saudi Arabia become more and more inclined to invest in assets that show a return or at least hold their value. This means that unless you raise the rates to a level that offsets inflation many investors will move elsewhere and you won't be able to take on new debt. Central banks are cornered. Traders, I think this ascending wedge should be something we put on our radar here. With fairly recent bullish price action along with our VERY strong support below, the probability that it plays out is LESS LIKELY than normal, but it does appear that BITCOIN is drawing a BEARISH ASCENDING TRIANGLE here. This may be further confirmation that the HEAD AND SHOULDERS pattern I have drawn in PURPLE will indeed play out and meet it's target down of $20-24k. Remember, I have doubted whether or not this will actually occur all along. So, now we have yet another pattern that seems to indicate there could be further downside in the cards. An exit to the UPSIDE of the TRIANGLE would be very BULLISH. An exit to the DOWNSIDE of the TRIANGLE would be VERY BEARISH and with confirmation on the daily, I would then expect us to reach our TARGET DOWN of $20-24k. Again, confirmation to the downside would be very important. A breach of our support is not enough. We would need a second candle to open and close below support (BLACK ASCENDING TREND LINE) and preferably a third candle to follow suit. For now, the market remains inside this TRIANGLE, which I have called the FUD ZONE. Until anything significant is determined geo-politically, whether positive or negative, I don't think our station inside the triangle is going to change much. I expect us to remain inside the triangle, unless and until the market receives news (good or bad). This is just one more indicator to add to your array. Please be safe with your trades at this time.
