Why U.S. Media Peddles CCP Hate?
There have been a series of news and magazine articles published in the U.S. recently that grossly distort the teachings and beliefs of Falun Gong. In fact, these articles mimic with shocking similarity the hate-filled propaganda prominent in communist China, which fuels terrible persecution of people who practice Falun Gong there.
What exactly is going on? What kind of mischaracterizations or outright lies are we seeing in these reports, and why would these U.S. media companies engage in this kind of bigotry?
We’re going to dig into these questions and find some answers.

100 Miles Away, A World Apart
What is one place on Earth that is more authentically Chinese than China? Many would argue it’s Taiwan.
The island of Taiwan sits off the coast of Mainland China. Taiwan and China share the same ethnicity, same culture, same history, and same language. But there’s one very big difference: since 1949, China has been ruled by the Chinese Communist Party whereas Taiwan is now a democracy. That one difference has caused these two places, situated a mere 100 miles from each other, to seem like two different worlds.
There is no greater example of this difference than with the treatment of Falun Gong.
Today in China, Falun Gong practitioners are kidnapped from their homes for meditating, seized while handing out leaflets, or arrested for posting information online—and they are frequently tortured and killed.
Today in Taiwan, there are hundreds of practice sites in parks and public spaces where people can go to learn Falun Gong free of charge. Falun Gong is widely acclaimed for its healthy life style and moral living from civil groups as well as the highest levels of government in Taiwan.
Today in China, Falun Gong is demonized whereas in Taiwan it is celebrated. This one fact speaks volumes to the difference between Communist China and democratic Taiwan.

The CCP Business in Body Parts
For more than a decade, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been systematically killing innocent people on a large scale, and extracting their vital organs to fuel a multi-billion dollar organ transplant industry.
A vast majority of the victims are Falun Gong practitioners, who have been detained by the CCP simply because of their faith.
Both the United States Congress and European Parliament passed resolutions condemning this horrible crime. Israel, Spain, Italy and Taiwan all passed laws aimed at preventing their citizens from any involvement with China’s forced organ harvesting.
Most significantly, an internationally renowned expert on genocide and crimes against humanity, Sir Geoffrey Nice QC, who famously lead the prosecution against former Yugoslavian dictator Slobodan Milosevic for war crimes, chaired an independent tribunal based in London called the China Tribunal. This tribunal conducted the most thorough and substantive analysis of forced organ extraction in China to date. The tribunal's findings, announced in June 2019, concluded that prisoners of conscience have been—and continue to be—killed in China for their organs “on a significant scale.” And that most of the victims are Falun Gong practitioners.
In a 2020 interview, human rights attorney David Matas shared a striking observation connecting forced organ harvesting with the coronavirus pandemic…

---------------------------------------------------------
On the eve of International Human Rights Day, a panel of lawmakers and human rights lawyers and advocates went online to examine the Chinese Communist Party’s systematic countrywide rights violations against the Falun Gong spiritual practice and its consequences for Canada-China policy.
The ruthless and relentless atrocities carried out in the persecution of Falun Gong has been largely ignored by the West for over two decades. Such silence has not only denied the tens of millions of Falun Gong adherents one of their few forms of protection—international pressure. Silence has also emboldened communist China to escalate aggressions toward its victims and those in both China and Canada who protest against the atrocities.
Topics included:
- How Canada can end the impunity to human rights violations that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials enjoy, as well as the intimidation and harassment activities of the Party in Canada.
-The insights that the persecution of Falun Gong and its practitioners' resistance can offer into the nature of the CCP and the means to best counter its threat to Canada and the West.
-Why the Falun Gong human rights issue should be an integral part of Canada-China policy formulation.

Falun Gong - In Their Own Words
© Falun Dafa Information Center 2020
It’s an early Sunday morning at Veterans Park in Otisville, upstate New York. At a time of year when the trees are still green, but the mornings start to have a slight chill in the air.
People of various ages, ethnicities and backgrounds slowly begin to fill up the otherwise empty park. They move quietly into a circle. With their eyes closed, they perform graceful, slow movements following meditation music from a loud speaker placed in the middle.
For the last 20 years you’ve heard journalists talking about them on the T.V. and radio. You’ve seen them holding rallies and peace protests around the world.
They are practitioners of Falun Gong.
Who are these people? What motivates them? And how might their struggle to expose the Chinese Communist Party have far reaching implications for all of us?

CCP Lies: An “Evil Cult”?
-Throughout the 1990s, top Chinese government officials praised Falun Gong for its health and well-being benefits.
-Because it grew so popular and independent, China’s top communist leader ordered Falun Gong eliminated.
-Several months after the persecution started, Chinese leaders first labeled Falun Gong a ‘cult’ to justify the campaign and deter criticism.
Academics and human rights groups in the West call the ‘cult’ label a political tool, and ‘false label’ aimed to fuel the persecution.
Falun Gong was not “banned by the Chinese government as an evil cult” on July 22, 1999, as many newspapers rather carelessly write. It was not so much as called that term until October of that year.
When the term was applied, it was not the outcome of measured analysis, investigative findings, or theological debate. It was not arrived at by scholars of religion, nor sociologists, or psychologists. Nor was it the consensus of the government.
Rather, it was a political move, one engineered by an identifiable individual. That person was Jiang Zemin, then head of China’s communist party. According to a November 9, 1999, report by the Washington Post, “It was Mr. Jiang who ordered that Falun Gong be branded a ‘cult,’ and then demanded that a law be passed banning cults.”

The Practice of Falun Gong
Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, is a spiritual practice that millions around the world have made a part of their lives. Rooted in Buddhist tradition, it consists of two main components: self-improvement through the study of teachings, and gentle exercises and meditation.
The belief system of Falun Dafa offers the possibility of spiritual growth through disciplined practice. Its teachings encourage learners to let go of unhealthy attachments as they strive to attune their lives to the underlying qualities of the universe: Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.
People who practice Falun Dafa often find it to be life-changing. Many experience dramatic health benefits as well as newfound energy, mental clarity, and stress relief. More importantly, many feel that in Falun Dafa they have found a deeply rewarding spiritual path.

WATCH THE FULL INTERVIEW: https://tv.faluninfo.net/david-kilgour-china-transplant-crime/
Former Canadian Secretary of State David Kilgour asserts the Chinese government's responsibility for forced organ harvesting from Falun Gong detainees in China.
In this video he explains, “State Organs is certainly an accurate title for what happens to organ pillaging in China. It’s done by the state. For the state. To the benefit of participants. And the secondary goal in it…is to get rid of so-called ‘enemies of the party’, the Falun Gong practitioners.”
Allegations of mass murder of Falun Gong practitioners for organs have been made since 2006. With every year that has passed since — and in particular over the last few years — more evidence has emerged supporting the allegations. The methodologies used to analyze the mass of evidence have become more robust, and concerns have become increasingly mainstream. Meanwhile, the position of the Chinese regime and its defenders, who seek to deny the claims, has become increasingly untenable.

The Event That Changed China, Forever
It was the spring of 1999. #China was transforming. A cultural renaissance inspired by an ancient spiritual practice was flourishing, signaling a healthier and more hopeful future for the Chinese people. The Chinese Communist Party was split on this phenomena - investigating, promoting, and criticizing the practice all at the same time.
Then, came April 25th.
What seemed to be a spontaneous, peaceful protest by over 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners, was actually orchestrated by some CCP officials, and then used to ignite a persecution campaign that would plunge the entire nation back into the dark days of the cultural revolution, and worse.
What's the real story of this fateful day?

Coalition Roundtable on Organ Harvesting by the CCP
© ETAC | 2017
The issue of China’s transplant practices first came to light through a whistleblower in March 2006. In response, David Kilgour and David Matas launched an independent investigation. Investigative journalist Ethan Gutmann later spent seven years doing his own research. He reached similar conclusions. In 2016, the three investigators joined forces, evaluating primary source research about the activities of hundreds of transplant hospitals around China. Drawing on media reports, official statements, medical journals, hospital websites, and web archives, their findings show that China’s transplant industry became among the most prolific in the world in just a few years, despite the lack of any organ donation system.
Victims & Numbers | The dark secret of China’s transplant industry is that another source entirely has been used: non-consenting prisoners of conscience. Those targeted include prisoners of conscience as far back as the 1970s, then Uyghurs, a Turkic, Muslim people residing in the northwest region of Xinjiang during the 1990s, and over the years that follow, some anecdotal evidence indicates, Tibetans and House Christians in captivity were also used. But by far the largest group to be targeted for organ harvesting is Falun Gong. The serious, large-scale development of China’s transplantation system coincided with the Communist Party’s campaign to wipe out Falun Gong.
Suppression by the Chinese Communist Party | The relationship between the Communist Party and the state is unlike anything we see in democratic countries. In democratic states, those in government rule. In China, it is the Party that rules. State functionaries are puppets. It is the Party which pulls the strings. Because the Party rules the state, the state organs do not control the Party. That is true of the legal as well as the political system. The Party is above the law, because the Party tells the legal system what to do. The Party does not need the law or the courts to engage in repression. It uses the police and the prisons without any law which supports their activity.
Legislation & Advocacy | Laws are being passed to criminalize the purchase of trafficked organs at home or abroad. The Coalition continues to call on Governments to enact measures including mandatory reporting of ‘organ tourism’, a ban on entry of individuals involved in trafficking organs, and prohibition of pharmaceutical companies participation in transplant field tests and clinical trials in China. We encourage you to connect with other academics, lawyers, ethicists, medical professionals and human rights advocates to participate in a variety of initiatives to end forced organ harvesting in China.

THE ISSUE | Over the past decade, reports have emerged that the Chinese regime is killing prisoners of conscience to supply its vast, lucrative organ transplantation industry. New evidence and figures mined from primary Chinese sources are now uncovering the nature and scale of these abuses.
On June 22, 2016, three respected independent investigators published a 680-page report illustrating a state-driven industry that transplants far more organs—by an order of magnitude—than can be accounted for by official sources, which China says are executed prisoners and voluntary donors.
China’s organ harvesting has become a focus of media outlets around the world. Hearings have been held by U.S. Congress, the British Parliament, and the European Parliament. The U.S House of Representatives and the European Parliament have passed resolutions condemning the practice.

"Guards Drew My Blood." Recalling Nightmare of Falun Gong Persecution in Chinese Detention
Through practicing Falun Gong, Angel regained her health. But, so long as she was in China, she was not altogether free.
Angel was once again arrested and detained in 2004. Her crime? Distributing information about the persecution that Falun Gong practitioners are subject to in China.
Whilst the CCP madly persecutes adherents of the spiritual practice, the regime goes all out to keep the details a secret from China’s 1.3 billion.
It should be considered a noble act for someone of their own initiative to raise awareness of human rights abuses, but in China, speaking out against the regime can land one in prison, and has cost too many their lives.
For Angel, she was subject to even more, horrendous torture.
“Several people pinned me down to force feed me,” Angel recalls of her third time being detained.
"In order to get released earlier, prisoners collaborated with the police to torture us wildly.”
"They jumped on my chest with as much force as possible with their whole body weight pressing down.
"Some prisoners forcefully grabbed my head. Others pulled my hair as they force fed me.”
"They force fed me extremely salty things. I felt terribly thirsty. My tongue felt dry like sand. My stomach felt like it was burning. I don’t know what they poured in.”
There was one strange incident, however, which Angel experienced in detention.
"When I was incarcerated guards drew my blood.”
"I was confused at the time. Of the 20 people detained in that large room, why was only my blood drawn? Why didn’t they take blood from anyone else?”
Angel was the only Falun Gong practitioner in that room.
It certainly was not because the guards were concerned about her health, as Angel was being tortured and abused daily.
"It was finally in 2006 when the truth was revealed. The Chinese Communist Party is killing Falun Gong practitioners for their organs to sell. That’s when I finally realized that the CCP is engaged in such evil. Killing innocents on demand."
After more than a month of being force fed and abused in the detention center, Angel was in bad shape. She couldn’t walk, nor could she take care of herself. She had to be carried everywhere. Despite her condition, she was sent to a forced labor camp to make products for export.
But Angel had been so badly tortured, she needed to be taken to the forced labor camp’s infirmary.
“Medical staff there checked my physical condition. A doctor said that as my endocrine was a mess, I could die at any moment, so it was useless to treat me. They refused to accept me."
The police officers who had driven her to the forced labor camp couldn’t just leave her there, nor could they take her back to the detention center.
Once again, Angel’s family was notified to pick her up.
It was too much for Angel’s elderly mother when she laid eyes on her daughter in the patrol car, lying there motionless.
"I was persecuted to the point of being unrecognizable. My elderly mother cried, shouting my name. The policemen told my mother: ‘We’re handing her over to you. She’s still alive.’”

Face to Face with Torture in a Chinese Labor Camp
A Personal Statement from Mr. Gang Chen (2003)
My name is Gang Chen and I am from Marlton NJ. I came to U.S. three months ago from Beijing. I used to be the logistics manager at the Beijing branch company of Carlsberg int’l Corp. I would like to share my personal experience as a Falun Gong practitioner in China. In June 2000, I was sent to Beijing Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp for 1-year detention without trial, simply because I practice Falun Gong.
In the labor camp, the police guards used a whole set of brainwash methods to force me giving up Falun Gong. The methods they used included threats, lying, propaganda, physical and mental tortures. On one day of September, 2000 I saw police beating and shocking another Falun Gong practitioner named Tiantong Sun with about 10 electric batons simultaneously, because he refused to attend the convention condemning Falun Gong.
When I was in labor camp, I was only allowed to sleep for less than four hours a day. In September 2000, they did not allow me to sleep for fifteen consecutive days while doing intense labor work, or enduring physical torture during the day. On one day of October, 2000, a policeman whose last name is Shi shocked me continuously with an electric baton to such a degree that large areas of my arms, neck, head and back skin were burned.

Forced Organ Harvesting from Falun Gong Practitioners in China
Forced organ harvesting in China -- It's being called "abhorrent" and a "crime against humanity." Allegations of forced organ harvesting in China started to surface in 2006. Since then, mounting evidence suggests these allegations are true—and even worse than originally suspected.
Prisoners of conscience—especially Falun Gong—are being killed for their organs.
Starting in 1999, the number of #TransplantCenters in #China increased by 300% in just 8 years, even though China has no effective national organ donation system. 1999 was the year the Chinese regime began persecuting adherents of the Falun Gong spiritual practice, sending hundreds of thousands to labor camps. Many of them were never seen again.
EVIDENCE OF KILLING FALUN GONG PRACTITIONERS FOR ORGANS
The Chinese authorities have admitted to having harvested organs from death-row prisoners for many years, and this is widely accepted as fact in Non-Govermental Organization and diplomatic circles. This refers to criminal prisoners who have been sentenced to death by courts for (in most cases) violent crimes.
But the allegations now being discussed go beyond that. The allegations are that Chinese authorities, including those affiliated with military and paramilitary hospitals, have been extrajudicially killing Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners of conscience, those guilty of no other crime than belonging to a religious or ethnic identity that the Party has targeted for destruction.
HOW MUCH ARE YOU WORTH?
One of the problems in gaining the widespread acceptance of this allegation has been that, for some years now, there has been so much evidence of a complex character, and an unwillingness in some sectors to consider the evidence. The primary source materials that must be marshaled, parsed, and assembled into arguments are often in Chinese, typically complex, and sometimes difficult to even find. Moreover, one piece of evidence only takes on significance in the context of other pieces.
The argument can be summarized as follows:
Prior to 2000, organ transplantation in China was a relatively niche medical treatment, primarily reserved for Communist Party officials.
The source of organs was almost exclusively prisoners who had been found guilty of capital crimes and sentenced to death (hereafter referred to as “death-row prisoners”), though Uyghurs and some political prisoners were also subjected to organ harvesting.
From 2000 onward, a tectonic shift began in China’s transplant sector. This is evidenced by a massive expansion in transplant capacity and capability — as measured by metrics such as these:
~ The number of hospitals performing transplant surgeries
~ Beds devoted to transplants in those hospitals
~ The number of doctors and nurses trained in transplant medicine (many of whom received their training overseas)
~ Improved patient survival times
~ Significant expansion in basic and clinical research in transplantation biology and immunosuppressive medicines
~ The establishment of numerous transplant centers in hospitals
~ The growth of the domestic immunosuppressant manufacturing industry via state subsidies
~ The variety of organ transplants performed (as measured by organ type and surgical method)
~ The sheer number of transplants performed
Alongside this growth in transplants performed, there was also the rise of “on-demand” transplants. This means waiting times of mere weeks for patients to receive transplants, or in many cases, mere days or hours.
In short, the great shift post-2000 was that many more transplants were being done and much faster.
Increasingly, doctors, congressmen, international politicians, human rights lawyers, journalists, and people around the world are raising awareness about forced organ harvesting.

Kidnapped and Sentenced to 16 Years in Chinese Prison— The Story of Zhiwen Wang • Falun Gong
Zhiwen Wang was illegally detained on July 20th 1999, because he is a Falun Gong practitioner. Practicing Falun Gong in China had literally become a crime overnight, and he was one of the thousands of practitioners throughout the country targeted for immediate arrest. In a show trial, he was sentenced to heavy term of 16 years.
About Falun Gong: Falun Gong is a traditional Chinese spiritual discipline that includes exercise and meditation. Its principles are based on Truth, Compassion, and Tolerance. Persons who practice regularly find it to bring them better health, reduced stress, inner peace, and deepened morals. The practice began in China in 1992 and quickly spread by word of mouth throughout China and then beyond. Today, Falun Gong is practiced by over 100 million people in more than 60 countries.
