Dating Do's And Don'ts | 1949 Educational Film
Dating Do's And Don'ts | 1949 Educational Film
Classic instructional film for teen daters, presented here in the rare (but incomplete) Kodachrome version.
Shotlist:
Shows the progress of the date, from choosing the right girl and asking her through the last "good night."
Ken Smith remarks: This social guidance "how-to" film has received more camp accolades than any other, and deserves it. Alan Woodruff ("Woody") receives a ticket to admit one couple to the upcoming Hi-Teen Carnival. "One couple," Woody reflects. "That means a date! Not like just going around with the crowd!" Woody decides to ask Ann Davis, who, the narrator points out, "knows how to have a good time." With her perpetual squint and chipmunk cheeks, Ann (pronounced "Ay-yun" by the actors in this film) is the perfect companion for super-nerd Woody. At crucial moments in the date, the narrator stops the action and presents Woody with several possible options for his actions. Happily, Woody makes all the correct decisions and ends up walking home from Ann's doorstep whistling with satisfaction at a job well done. "Thanks so much," says Ann with a toothy grin. "I had LOADS of fun."

Very nice of the govt. to allow American farmers to grow Hemp, but only for the war (depopulation) effort. Every part of the Hemp plant can be used for something beneficial to humanity.
The powers that be (soon to be defeated) have kept everything from us, while keeping us enslaved and ignorant. Plant medicine is undefeated. Big Pharma is going down.

Playboy After Dark with George Carlin | 4.30.1970
Playboy After Dark - S02E24 - 1970-04-30 - Featuring George Carlin.
Back when it wasn't well known to be a CIA funded Honey Trap, Playboy After Dark was must see TV.
Spanky Wilson (singer) - "Alfie" and "Bring My Love" (correct song title?)
George Carlin (comedian) - does a routine on N.Y. accents and N.Y. Police Academy
Lou Rawls (singer) - "You've Made Me So Very Happy" and "You Got Soul" (correct song title?)
Bossa Rio (Bossa Nova group) - "Spinning Wheel," "With Your Love Now" and "Zazueira"
Sandy Baron (comedian) - does a comedy routine about High School graduation day
Connie Kreski (Playmate of the Year) and Janice Pennington appear in a running comedy bit with Sandy Baron and George Carlin. (As Baron tries to pick up Pennington, Carlin tries his luck with Kreski.)
--
Playboy After Dark followed much the same style as Hefner's earlier show, Playboy's Penthouse (1959–1960), which had been taped at WBKB-TV in Chicago (now WLS-TV). The show portrayed a "typical" party at Hefner's place, complete with Playboy Playmates and celebrities, who would then chat with Hefner and perform for the party. Guests included Barbi Benton, Joe Cocker, Ike & Tina Turner, Sammy Davis Jr., Jerry Lewis, Peter Lawford, Buddy Rich, Harry Nilsson, Grateful Dead, Moms Mabley, Deep Purple, Fleetwood Mac, Three Dog Night, Steppenwolf, Grand Funk Railroad, James Brown, Iron Butterfly, Linda Ronstadt, Jack Jones and others.

NHL RIVALS | BOSTON BRUINS VS. BUFFALO SABRES | MAY DAY!
NHL RIVALS: The Boston Bruins and the Buffalo Sabres.
Kind of a one-sided rivalry (pains me to say that, as I grew up in WNY and have been a Sabres and Bills fan since the early 80's) - just like the Pats and the Bills.
In the New Earth maybe the Sabres will finally win a Cup, and maybe the Bills will persevere enough to capture their first Super Bowl.

FATHER OF GHISLAINE, ROBERT MAXWELL - ISRAEL'S SUPER SPY (2002)
Public Statement by Martin Dillon & Gordon Thomas 12-6-2002 'The Assassination of Robert Maxwell: Israel's Super Spy' (Robson Books UK) Two best-selling authors have bitterly accused their American publisher of "sabotaging" their book on Robert Maxwell he is to publish. The book, supported by FBI documents, and files from intelligence agencies across the globe, details the tycoon's until now unsuspected links to organised crime families in the Balkans - and how Maxwell penetrated America's nuclear arsenal at Los Alamos on behalf of Mossad. The book reveals the tycoon worked for the Israeli intelligence. But unknown to the authors, their US publisher, Carroll-Graf, secretly delivered an uncorrected proof copy of their manuscript weeks ago to Maxwell's daughter, Isabel. She admits she took the book to Israel and consulted with, among others, "a family friend" David Kimche, a former deputy director of Mossad. Last week, in the Jewish Chronicle, Isabel Maxwell launched a ferocious attack on authors Gordon Thomas and Martin Dillon over "The Assassination of Robert Maxwell: Israel's Super Spy" (Robson Books UK). She accused them of not even getting the names of her siblings correctly-spelled (common in uncorrected manuscripts). But in the finished book, published last week, they are spelled correctly. And the authors have been told by their UK publisher, Jeremy Robson, that the American publisher, Carroll & Graf of the Avalon Publishing House to whom he sold the book - and who had agreed to maintain the contents confidentiality - had leaked the book to Isabel Maxwell "because she was a family friend of the publisher". Herman Graf, head of Carroll-Graf, refuses to explain to the authors how the book was sent to Isabel Maxwell. Further, he has delayed publication until December 16. And he has refused to promote the book. "Everyone in the trade knows this is the worst week to launch a book of this nature. It will be lost. And the US publisher won't even confirm what his print run is or whether he is taking even a small ad in the trade press. In 50 years of being a published author I have never encountered such a situation," said Gordon Thomas. In what the authors see as a conspiracy of silence, they have also enjoined the august Jewish Chronicle. The voice of Jewry in Britain has refused to publish in full their detailed retraction of Isabel Maxwell's attack. "Initially the paper offered us space for only a letter. They said they would publish a letter 'twice the size of one (from me) they had previously published'. We asked for the same space as they gave Isabel Maxwell. We have heard no more," concludes Thomas. But now that other bastion of Jewish opinion, the Jewish Telegraph has come to their aid. The Manchester-based weekly has agreed to publish their article in full. It includes intriguing details about Isabel's own relationship toward Martin Dillon. Using a succession of emails and contemporaneous notes, Martin Dillon, a former BBC Timewatch producer and an acknowledged expert on the murky world of Eastern European crime, reveals how Isabel, and her mother, colloborated with him despite her subsequent public denials. "She phoned me constantly - even late at night. She even wanted a photo of me. She asked me to meet her in Washington and London and she revealed intimate family secrets," confirms Dillon, who now lives in New York. In the rebuttal that the Jewish Chronicle refused to publish in full, Thomas, 69, and Dillon, 53, hint that they may now publish all their email correspondence with Isabel and Betty Maxwell. What they have already written of Isabel Maxwell's revelations about her siblings has also come from their mother, Betty Maxwell. "We have been told that some senior members of the family have met with a member of the editorial staff of the Jewish Chronicle. The paper is understandably concerned that Isabel's attack was based on an uncorrected version of the book," said Gordon Thomas, at his home outside Dublin.

THE FUNERAL OF 'THE KING' ELVIS PRESLEY | 1977 SPECIAL REPORT
ELVIS PRESLEY FUNERAL from 1977. THE KING IS DEAD.
By Robert Fontenot

Although rumors are still flying around that Elvis Presley may not be dead (he is), the massive convergence of fans on Graceland in Memphis, TN, in the wake of his death on August 16, 1977, is — if nothing else — a testament to the legacy Elvis left behind. President Jimmy Carter, upon learning of The King of Rock and Roll's untimely demise, issued a statement praising Elvis in that he had "permanently changed the face of American popular culture."
A Funeral Procession Fit for 'The King'
Thousands of fans converged on Memphis in the days following Elvis Presley's death, so many that President Carter ordered 300 National Guard troops to the area to maintain order. All city buildings in Memphis immediately lowered their flags to half-staff. Elvis was embalmed at the Memphis Funeral Home and returned to Graceland on August 17, 1977, where a public viewing of the casket, ordered by Elvis' father Vernon was set up in the foyer. Over 30,000 fans were let in.
Elvis Presley's funeral, held on the 18th, was a modest affair, though attended by stars such as his "Viva Las Vegas" co-star Ann-Margret, James Brown, and actor George Hamilton. Held in Graceland's living room, it lasted from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Wooddale Church of Christ pastor C.W. Bradley led the sermon, which also featured a testimonial from comedian Jackie Kahane, who often opened Elvis' shows. Other Elvis tour vets — J.D. Sumner and the Stamps, the Statesmen, and Kathy Westmoreland — performed some of Elvis' favorite hymns including "Heavenly Father."
Burial and Later Reburial
Later that day, Elvis's body was laid to rest next to his mother Gladys Love in the Forest Hill Cemetery. An estimated 80,000 people came to watch the funeral procession, lining the street and bearing handmade signs expressing their sorrow for the loss of The King. Elvis' last record, "Way Down," topped the United States and United Kingdom music charts over the following weeks.
In late August of the same year, a thief attempted to steal the body of Elvis. As a result, both Elvis and his mother's remains were relocated to the Meditation Garden at Graceland on October 2, 1977.
Posthumous Sightings
Perhaps because of this, many people have claimed to have seen Elvis Presley over the years since his death. Many conspiracy theorists believe he may have faked his own death as a publicity stunt or perhaps even a way for him to escape his mega-stardom to retire to a quiet life away from the throngs of fans. Despite these rumors, the estate of Elvis Presley firmly continues to affirm Elvis did indeed die of a heart attack in his Graceland home in August of 1977.

RED NIGHTMARE (1962) | ANTI COMMUNIST MOVIE | USA! USA! USA!
RED NIGHTMARE | FILM FROM 1962
Red Nightmare is an American short film, sometimes titled Freedom and You, first broadcast on the CBS television network in 1962. It was directed by George Waggner and its cast includes Jack Kelly as Jerry Donavan, Jeanne Cooper as Helen Donavan and Jack Webb as the narrator.
Red Nightmare is a blunt and confronting example of Cold War propaganda, a frightening depiction of the United States under Soviet occupation. The film begins in what seems an ordinary American town – before the panning camera reveals the presence of Soviet soldiers and barbed wire. According to the narrator, the Soviet Union has constructed mock American towns where they can train spies and infiltrators. This signals their intentions and serves as a warning about what will transpire.
The main character in Red Nightmare, Jerry Donavan, is an average American. He works in a defence plant and has a typical middle-class existence: a comfortable home, a wife and three children. As the film progresses Donovan shows signs of disinterest and complacency, missing community meetings and his army reserve training.
One evening he arrives home from work tired and goes to bed early, the narrator explaining that he is about to have a “red nightmare”. On ‘waking’, Donavan finds his hometown has been transformed by Soviet military occupation. His eldest daughter has been forced to work on a state farm, while his other children now attend communist schools. Donavan’s own workplace is now under Soviet control and subjected to exhaustive quotas, requiring him to work longer hours. The Soviets have also closed down the local churches and rewritten American history – but for Donavan, worse is to come.
Red Nightmare was produced by Warner Bros studios, using guidelines provided by the US Department of Defence. Its producer, Jack L. Warner, was a conservative who had testified before the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) in 1947, where he warned of the dangers of communist infiltration.
Red Nightmare’s depiction of a Soviet-occupied American town was supposedly based on the experiences of refugees from the Soviet bloc in eastern Europe. It warned Americans not to take their rights and freedoms for granted or ignore their duties as citizens, for the alternative might be much worse.
Host Jack Webb tells of what America would be like under communism. Produced in the early sixties, this is a frightening tale of a typical American family, and what that same family would look like under the "Red Nightmare". Just the facts. mam.
One note: After reviewing some of the comments made concerning this film, I feel compelled to state the following: Before anyone criticizes this film, you have to judge it in terms of the the time it was produced. Anyone of us who lived through the cold war can well remember the strong concern (or fear or paranoia if you like) that was ever present at the time. We remember as kids being told to go under our school desks, to roll on the ground when a flash was heard and to memorize exactly where the nearest fallout shelter was. We as a people were still new to explosives that could destroy the world in one blast. It was frightening as it should have been. Remember air raids (in addition to fire drills) in school? Remember conelrad?
Although this film is somewhat "over the top", we didn't know that at the time. We, as a nation were scared. Did you have a fallout shelter in your home, complete with rationed food and water in it? How about all those civil defense volunteers running around with their white helments? And don't forget radiation which could could carry for miles; killing it's victims at a slow, painful rate. This was all new to us and we didn't know what do expect.
This short film should not be viewed as funny or camp. It is, instead, a reflection of what we, as Americans were fearing at the time. And with good reason.
Freedom is only one generation away.
Patriots unite. Liberty and Justice for All.
Constitution.

Agents of Influence - Obama, Panetta, and Wallace - The Strange Communist Connections
Agents of Influence - Obama, Panetta, and Wallace - The Strange Communist Connections
The video talks about strange parallels between Barack Obama and a largely forgotten presidential candidate, Henry Wallace. Both, it turned out, had secret backing and influence from individuals uncovered later.
Now we find out, the connection between Wallace and Obama comes through more than just coincidences. Read the story below about the CIA appointee of Obama, Leon Panetta, and his indirect connection to the campaign of Henry Wallace.

-------------------------------------------------
If you have been depending on the mainstream media for your news the past few days, you are probably learning here for the first time that CIA Director Leon Panetta has been called out for his links to an important open member of the Communist Party.
When this writer first arrived in Washington, D.C., as a reporter in 1968, one of my assignments was to cover the congressional delegation from Washington State.
Occasionally, both Democrat and Republican members of Congress from the Evergreen State would obliquely mention the name of Hugh DeLacy â either with a knowing snicker or muffled sound of disapproval.
It was as if they were shamefacedly acknowledging their state's dirty little secret.
This much I gathered: Hugh DeLacy was a Communist who entered Democrat politics in Seattle and served in Congress, later to be defeated because of his pro-Red affiliations.
That name â stashed away for years in a reporter's mental file â re-emerged in 2011 when (not for the first time) intrepid researchers did the work the mainstream media should have been doing.
It seems that the late Communist Hugh DeLacy and the man who now heads this nation's spy agency were good buddies.
An oldie in the files re-emerges
Although hearings were held last Thursday on Panetta's nomination (by President Obama) to become Secretary of Defense, not one word appeared in any major newspaper or TV news channel about the allegations.
The June 9 morning hearings by the Senate Armed Services Committee did not elicit any mention of the newly revealed information of the Panetta/DeLacy connection. That afternoon, the senators scheduled an executive session behind closed doors. No information as to whether the issue was brought up then.
Researchers Trevor Loudon and Cliff Kincaid have documented the following:
Director Panetta for years maintained a friendly relationship with the late Hugh DeLacy. One "Dear Hugh" letter from then-Rep. Leon Panetta (D-Calif.) in 1977 offered a summary of a report on U.S. military operations which, according to Panetta, was "unavailable for distribution." In his conclusion, Panetta writes, "If there is anything I can do for you in the future, Hugh, please feel free to call on me." This "Dear Hugh" business did not appear to be a routine ingratiating courtesy on the part of a politician to a constituent (DeLacy later lived in Santa Cruz, California). When DeLacy passed away in 1986, Congressman Panetta spoke at his memorial service.
In 1983, Mr. Panetta paid tribute to DeLacy and his wife and entered it into the Congressional Record. "The causes for which they have dedicated their lives [including] a halt to the dangerous arms race â are causes for which we are still working today," intoned Congressman Panetta.
"Dear Hugh's" real activism
In an obituary on DeLacy, the Los Angeles Times stated, "In 1954, he [DeLacy] invoked the Fifth Amendment when asked by the House Un-American Activities Committee if he was or ever had been a Communist."
Two years later, the House committee heard testimony from Barbara Hartle, a former Communist who had resigned and renounced her membership in the Party and since then had shared information with the FBI and other authorities in their efforts to combat the Communist conspiracy. Said she:
"I had attempted to break contact with the Communist Party in the underground on the wrong assumption that if I broke contact that they would leave me alone." Instead, Hartle testified under oath, she was then "pursued by the Communist Party in the persons of its leaders, attempting to discipline me, attempting to bring me back into activity and responsibility." The harassment became so pervasive, Hartle added, that she concluded the Communist Party "was a gigantic hoax, that it has raised havoc with my life, that it was a danger to the country."
House Committee Staff Director Richard Arens then asked the witness to "tell this committee while you are under oath, the names of any persons to your certain knowledge, who were Communists and officers or leaders of the Northwest Committee for the Protection of the Foreign Born [a Communist front]."
Mr. Arens: And by the way, if it is agreeable with you, give us just a comment about the individual, what you know about him.
Mrs. Hartle: Hugh DeLacy was at one time president of the Washington Commonwealth Federation of the state of Washington, was one time a Congressman from the First District of the state of Washington [for one term, 1945-47]."
Mr. Arens: And Mr. Chairman [Rep. Clyde Doyle D-Calif. was chairing the hearing], I think it would not be inappropriate that in anticipation of our [planned] hearings in Ohio, we made a vigorous search for Hugh DeLacy in order to subpoena him. Our best information is that he has been dodging the subpoena.
Communist-backed candidate
The lead in the L.A. Times obit identified DeLacy as "a Founder of the Progressive Party that nominated Henry Wallace for President in 1948." That party was organized and dominated by the Communist Party. Wallace himself admitted later in life that he had been duped and used. Christopher Andrew, a University of Cambridge historian â working with evidence in the Mitrokhin Archive â has stated publicly that he believed Wallace was a KGB agent.
From the Loudon/Kincaid files
Panetta â as a member of Congress â and DeLacy â as a street activist â shared an affinity for communist scoundrels in Latin America.
While DeLacy visited Nicaragua and paid tribute to its communist Sandinista regime, Panetta â on Capitol Hill â fought President Reagan's efforts to undermine the Sandinista Moscow puppets.
Leon Panetta, as the Loudon/Kincaid files show, collaborated with the Institute for Policy Studies, a think tank that promoted the Chilean Marxist and Cuban Intelligence agent Orlando Letelier who conducted Communist political operations in Washington. (See this writer AIM Report â "Robert Novak Versus the Media Establishment," Sept. 18, 2007)
And there's more
The California Senate Fact-Finding Committee on Un-American Activities named Hugh DeLacy as having been associated with the American Peace Mobilization Committee. That front was organized during the Hitler-Stalin pact to "sabotage our national defense program," culminating in a "mass picket line around the White House" until shortly before Nazi Germany turned on its erstwhile ally, the Soviet Union â at which point, the U.S. Reds suddenly became "great patriots" for FDR's "waw effaht."
Add to all the above the fact that DeLacy was not only a prominent member of the Communist Party USA, but also a personal contact of identified Soviet spies Solomon Adler and Frank Coe and accused spy John Stewart Service, and one has to wonder: What was there about DeLacy's background and record that attracted the friendship of the man who is now CIA Director and has been nominated to assume an even higher national security post â Secretary of Defense?
The late columnist Robert Novak told me that he had learned shortly after arriving in Washington in the fifties that the press corps had imposed a "self-censorship" in ignoring certain stories â that among these were congressional investigations of Communist influence in our society. He added this de facto "cartel" turned a blind eye to "a lot" that was "still" going on even then (at the time of our 2007 interview).
Beyond that, the question persists in 2011: Why have the media â even some non-liberal ones â not followed up on the information that the man who heads our premiere spy/counterspy agency was a good friend of a Communist Party member? Only a few websites â including this one â have paid attention to the story.
If Panetta's nomination for Secretary of Defense makes it through the Senate Armed Services Committee â and barring indications to the contrary, it would appear "the skids are greased" â then what? Is there not one conservative senator prepared to raise this issue on the floor when the confirmation is up for debate? Not one? Why?
