Dash-Cam Driving in Mexico » From Oaxaca, over the mountain pass, all the way to Atlacomulco, Mexico
* * * PLEASE NOTE: I apologize for the strange black screen that occasionally appears for split-seconds during parts of the video. I'm still learning the video format (I'm a photographer) and this was a problem during the export at 8x speed. I tried re-exporting numerous times in different ways, and it always resulted in the somewhat annoying black flicker. Fortunately, I don't intend to post many videos at 8x speed, but, I wanted to share a full 7-hour drive. * * *
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to drive a full day through Mexico? Thanks to our trusty dash-cam, we can show you! This time, we start at the edge of Oaxaca City, Oaxaca, and head north on the Mexican Federal Highway 135D (toll "cuota"), crossing a breathtaking mountain range. While driving on the narrow, curvy roads, you can see how the traffic flows, using the "dashed shoulder line" for ease of passing, as well as the toll booths. Also, we really admire Mexico's truck stop design, which appear more frequently than on highways in the US. When we reach Puebla, Puebla, we change to the 150D, then to the N40D, until we reach our destination in Atlacomulco, in the State of Mexico, north-west of Mexico City. This one was a long haul!

House-Sitting » House-Sit #4 » Part of the Pack! » San Andrés Huayapam, Oaxaca, Mexico
We did it! We survived four weeks with eight doggies and three kitties. And we loved every minute of it. We'll never forget Wamba, Petunia, Blue, Yuki, Ñyek, Momo, Felíx, Florinda, Tinkerton, Ping, and Chachalaca! Plus the 7 friendly street dogs we fed dinner. They're such a unique mix of characters; most of them had a troubled past before they were rescued by our hosts, but now they live the comfortable life they deserve.
Their daily 90-minute hike in the foothills of La Sierra Madre mountains was beautiful. After a short distance down the road on leashes, we would reach the edge of civilization, at which point the dogs were free to run and explore! It's impressive that they were so well-trained, they actually led us up the trails. The young dogs would run laps around the older dogs slowly marching along. Sometimes street dog Jaqui would join us.

House-Sitting » House-Sit #3 » Walking Dogs in Mexico » San Andrés Huayapam, Oaxaca, Mexico
This is a really simplified look at a big, complicated topic: Dogs in Mexico. It seems you can't have a conversation about Mexico without someone bringing up 'street dogs'. But it's not as black-or-white as you might think, and there's a lot of nuance. Dogs here aren't just pets or strays; there are indoor pets, outdoor pets, outdoor guard dogs, and legitimate strays. And even that's a simplification of the apparent dog hierarchy.
As a foreigner, I understand that I can't possibly understand the full scope of this topic yet. So this video is just scratching the surface of dogs in Mexico, by looking at dog-walking in Mexico, in the context of house-sitting.

House-Sitting » House-Sit #3 » 2 Delightful Dogs » San Andrés Huayapam, Oaxaca, Mexico
* PLEASE NOTE: My apologies for the screen turning black for a few seconds, in the video introduction. I had inserted cute photos of Beanie & Pelu, and the house-sit garden on top of my video. For some reason, these photos didn't export, and instead we see a black screen. Annoying. But I chose not to re-edit and re-upload, as it would break the chronology and flow of videos. I'm still learning how the video format works, so thank you for your patience *
A short time ago, we wrapped up our six weeks with two very sweet pups: Beanie & Pelu. I mentioned previously they're sisters from the same litter, but they have such endearing, distinct personalities. Beanie is happy-go-lucky, excitable, and lives for playing fetch. Pelu is somber, complicated, and deeply loving. My favorite memories from this house-sit are of our swimming trips, which the two pups each enjoyed in their own way. Beanie launches herself into the air to fetch infinity sticks, while Pelu swims laps in the distance. It was a delightful spectacle.
They got twice daily walks, which proved to be endlessly entertaining, and at times, challenging, due to the high number of outside dogs; some strays, but mostly outside pets or watch dogs. Their days also included two raw food meals, which seems fairly common for house-sit doggies. It was actually refreshing to have such a steady routine, and a home base, after months of freeform temporarily-nomadic life.
Because I'm trying to be considerate of our hosts' privacy, I'm not including photos of their adorable house. But I can assure you, the environment was comfortable, filled with art and handmade wares, and their shady garden was a relaxing retreat. We look forward to returning to Huayapam in the fall!

Female Guardsmen
Warhammer 40,000 is a hobby of mine. This video isn't aimed solely at fans so I'll describe the game and setting briefly here. Lately the woke culture war is predictably making inroads into this hallowed ground of male nerddom. Will the publishers succumb to the trend? Do their fans really want them to? I discuss why female guardsmen are a dumb idea.

Lyme Disease: Current Update: 30 Years of Illness, Disulfram Success, and the Future
This is a long-overdue follow-up to my previous two Lyme Disease videos, covering my nearly lifelong battle with this awful tick-borne illness. A lot has happened in the 18 months since my previous video: I've completed the three treatments outline below, received a mostly clean bill of health, and I have moved on to what (we hope) will be my final stage of treatment: dynamic neural retraining to "rewire" my brain's learned behaviors, caused by Lyme spirochetes and thirty years of coping mechanisms, PTSD, and trauma. We've been trying for Baby Benton for nearly two years at this point, and I've started acupuncture for fertility treatments.
I'm sharing my entire Lyme Disease treatment protocol here:
I was bit by a tick in 1991, when I was seven years old, and went through many years of treatment in childhood, before it went into remission. After that, I thought I was "cured" but was only in remission. Symptoms came back with a vengeance in my mid-twenties. I received a positive Lyme Disease test in March 2018; my first appointment with an LLMD was in June 2018, and he also gave me a clinical diagnosis of Bartonella and Babesia. He chose to treat Babesia first, then Lyme, and Bartonella last.
For Babesia, he did a "parasite cleanse" which included five anti-parasitics and anti-malarials.
*Atovaquone A.K.A. Malarone 250mg 2 pills 2x day for about 6 months (an anti-malarial similar to Hydroxychloroquine, this ended a lot of my Babesia symptoms!).
*Albenza 200mg 2 pills 1x day for 20 days.
*Ivermectin 3mg, I can't read the prescription, but only 8 pills, over a few days. (yes, commonly used for dog de-worming, but also used for general random parasites in people).
*Biltricide 600mg, I can't read the prescription, but only 6 pills, over a few days.
*Alinia 500mg 1x day for 60 days.
For Lyme, my LLMD gave me antibiotic treatment very similar to Dr. Horowitz' protocol inhis book "Why Can't I Get Better". He would make minor adjustments at each 3-month visit, based on how I was responding. Sometimes he would switch to a different antibiotic in the same family, which can help get past "plateaus" in treatment.
*Azithromycin 500mg 1x day.
*Tinidazole 125mg 3x day 3days/week (fluctuating with Metronidazole, same antibiotic family).
*Minocycline 100mg 2x day (fluctuating with Doxycycline, same antibiotic family).
General Vitamins/Supplements:
*High-dose wide-spectrum Probiotics and Prebiotics 3x day (because antibiotics destroy my gut health, and I had constant stomach aches from pills).
*Fluconizole 200mg 1x day 3 days/week (for yeast, from prolonged antibiotic use).
*Lactoferrin 300mg 1x day (for bio-film softening and antibiotic boost).
*Prenatal Vitamins (best general vitamins, even if not trying to conceive).
*Vitamin D3 5,000IU high-dose daily
*NAC (aids in the body's production of glutathione, which is a natural way to stimulate detox).
Dr. Buhner's "Lyme Collagen Protocol", from his book Healing Lyme Naturally. This is not a treatment, but is for chronic Lyme people, and those during- and post-treatment, because the bacteria actually depletes our bodies of a lot of nutrients. So this is for replenishing the body from what the bacteria steals:
*Silicone 3mL 1x day
*Alpha Lipoic Acid 600mg 1x day
*Glucosamine Sulfate 750mg 2x day
*Vitamin E with Selenium 400IU 1x day
Dr. Buhner's "Herbal Treatment Protocol", from the same book. It involves taking four herbs, slowly scaling up to pretty high doses.
*Cat's Claw
*Andrographis
*Resveratrol (Japanese Knotweed)
*Astragalus
Finally: Disulfram. I reached target dose of Disulfram March 2020, stayed at that does for six months, and stopped September 2020. I was well enough to stop the herbal protocol in September 2020, and stop antibiotics by the end of October 2020.
Remember, if a doctor followed the CDC guidelines for Lyme Disease, I would be given two weeks of one antibiotic, and told that I have been cured. If my symptoms persisted, I would be told that I have Post-Treatment Lyme Disease Syndrome, which is a magical illness with no known cause and no known treatment. How convenient!

House-Sitting » House-Sit #2 » Gardens and 5 Hens » Guanajuato, Guanajuato, Mexico
We've been traveling Mexico for nearly eight months now; it's been an incredible experience, and every new part of the country we see brings new and interesting experiences. Our ten day house-sit in Guanajuato was so peaceful, and we both agree that it's one of our top five favorite cities.
The home we were watching is situated overlooking a big, beautiful terraced garden, which seems to be home to its own little ecosystem with birds, butterflies, bees, and other beneficial critters. The owners built the whole garden from scratch, and continue to work closely with professionals to help maintain the ecosystem. Beyond the garden is a breathtaking view of the city. I'm not a morning person, but I couldn't help but get up at sunrise a number of times, just to watch the city come to life.
Their flock of five friendly chickens was such a joy! The hens have free access to the whole garden, but they have their own little chicken routine that takes them to certain areas at specific times of day. It was adorable.
Guanajuato is a very hilly city, with many stairs, narrow windy roads, and the coolest network of underground tunnels through the mountains I've ever seen. The easiest access to the city below is the public stairways: about 400 stair steps from top to bottom! Incredibly, many homes and businesses are built on these hillsides, and yes, their only access is by the stairs.
If you ever plan to visit Guanajuato: our house-sit hosts have beautiful, clean, affordable rentals in the same building as their home, and they all share this garden and view. I highly recommend Terra Vista! https://www.terravista.mx/

Dash-Cam Driving in Mexico » More Oaxaca and San Andrés Huayapam
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to drive through various neighborhoods in Oaxaca, Oaxaca, Mexico? Thanks to our trusty dash-cam, we can show you! This time, we start at a viewpoint overlooking Oaxaca's Centro, then we take you down the cool and confusing "braiding" traffic on the 190, where sometimes you drive on the right side of the road, sometimes you drive on the left, and sometimes you drive in the middle! Lastly, we turn off the 190 towards San Andrés Huayapam.
Note: These are our *first attempts* at making a driving video. I'm sort of kicking myself for not keeping any footage from our 5,000 miles driven in Mexico before now! But oh well, there will be a lot more exploring. That being said: feedback is appreciated! If you're the kind of person who likes driving videos, what do you like? Please leave a comment below. More real-life driving footage coming soon!

House-Sitting » How Did We Get Started House and Pet-Sitting? » Mexico
This video takes a look into how we got started house-sitting in Mexico, and specifically, how we booked our first sits. If you're like me, house-sitting wasn't on my radar as a viable way to travel, until a short time ago. We have six months booked perfectly back-to-back, so far! This will help us continue to see new parts of Mexico, keep costs down (because we're not paying rent), and give us the time and freedom needed to decide whether we'll start our next homestead here in Mexico, or in Japan, and to jump through all the necessary hoops! Bonus: Animal companions.

House-Sitting » Work-Exchange #1: Chicken Coop Remodel » Two weeks on a ranch, near Aculco, Mexico
Our first house-sit in Mexico! Not a typical house-sit, this was more of a work-exchange. We enjoyed two weeks on a big, beautiful ranch outside Aculco, Mexico, with a flock of seven Leghorn hens and one Naked-Neck rooster.
This video takes a detailed look at their coop remodel, which we did in exchange for staying on their ranch. After talking with the ranch owner about their flock vision, and observing the flock's behaviors, we got to work using the tools and materials available. We're happy to report that the ranch owner and the flock are happy with the results!

House-Sitting » Work-Exchange #1: Nesting Box Behavior » Two weeks on a ranch, near Aculco, Mexico
This video takes a look at chicken behaviors, and our experience in redirecting this rancher's flock to lay eggs in their new-and-improved nesting boxes, instead of the dog house. Chickens have a lot of really interesting individual and flock behaviors, and it's just a matter of understanding a chicken's thought process, to make their quirky behaviors start to make sense.

Book Report: Unit 731 Testimony by Hal Gold
This is my book report on "Unit 731: Testimony" by Hal Gold. It may surprise the viewer that this is the first book I've read on Unit 731. This is probably because of the obnoxious stereotype Americans have of everything Japanese being somehow perverse anyway, so I have always blocked it out.
As with most of my book reports, please don't expect a straight summary of the book in question. In this case, I've spent quite a bit of time looking into the history of germ warfare and so this report focuses mainly on how Japan ties into that, with some speculation as to the manufactured nature of WWII.

Book Report: Empire of the Wheel and Origin, by Walter Bosley
This is a very brief synopsis of Walter Bosley's "Empire of the Wheel" series and its companion, "Origin: the Nineteenth Century Emergence of the Twentieth Century Breakaway Civilizations". It's not up to my usual standards; as you'll notice, I'm trying to cram four books into one 20-minute video whereas most of my book reports focus on a single volume. Nevertheless, I wanted to provide and introduction to Mr. Bosley's work so that I could reference it going forward.

This one's going exclusively to Rumble and BitChute, I got a little spicy and I can't risk getting kicked off YouTube just for making fun of leftists. It's therapy for me, folks.

COVID-19: One Health & Disease X, Pt 1
Looking at a very interesting studio compared to the various animal studies conducted on COVID-19 thus far, which also makes the case for continuous surveillance of all domestic and wild animals in order to prevent the next pandemic!
Unsurprisingly, this effort comes from the same Wuhan lab that may have produced the pandemic in the first place, and the same organization that apparently spearheaded the effort to draw all attention away from said Wuhan lab.
The study:
