School Keeps Gender Secret from Parents
January Littlejohn and her husband were stunned when they discovered their daughter had changed her gender at school. Influenced by her friends, the daughter suddenly expressed an interest in LGBT media and said she wanted to change her gender. January, a licensed mental health professional, was prepared to help her daughter through this confusing time. What she did not know is that her daughter's school had already affirmed her daughter's "transition" and made a plan for her to change genders at school without telling her parents at all. When schools think that students have privacy from their parents, life-changing decisions can be made without input from the parents who love and care for their children more than anyone. The good news, as January's story shows, is that parents can fight back and defend their children and their rights.

Mom Sued for Questioning School
Nicole Solas wanted to know what her five-year-old daughter's school was teaching. So many parents have seen the headlines about critical race theory, comprehensive sex ed in kindergarten, and other dangerous trends in modern education. The school refused to answer Solas's questions. When she filed public information requests, administrators continued to ignore her questions. After dozens of requests, the school could no longer ignore her, and the teachers' union targeted Solas with a secret meeting and a lawsuit.
Thankfully, Solas has a law degree and she has not been intimidated by the most powerful teachers' union in the country. For other parents, the unions simply threaten to sue and parents are effectively silenced. If the past few years have taught us anything, it is that we need to know what is happening in our school classrooms. Solas shares her experience so that other parents know what their rights are and what they are up against.
