166. Kris Sims - Free Speech and Journalism
Born in small town British Columbia, Sims has been employed (and taxed) since she was 12 years old, working in horse stables, fast food joints and gas stations before attending journalism school at BCIT.
She worked in radio on Vancouver Island before moving to Ottawa to work as a legislative assistant on Parliament Hill. She then joined News Talk Radio 580 CFRA as a producer, reporter and anchor, eventually becoming a journalist for the CTV Parliamentary Bureau.
Sims was a founding reporter for Sun News Network and proudly covered issues of big government, personal liberty and the rights of small town and rural Canadians until Sun News was shut down. She then worked as a director of communications on Parliament Hill, and as the senior producer for Evan Solomon at CFRA Radio.
With deep family roots in Alberta’s rodeo country, she is proud to fight for the rights of all taxpayers.
When she isn’t digging through expense reports, setting dumpsters on fire or doing media interviews, Sims can be found reading Ayn Rand on a riverbank with her husband and their two children.

183. Chelsae Petrovic - Get Involved
My life being raised in rural Alberta is a story of service.
I am a married mother of two children. I value Conservatism and my Christian beliefs. Together, my family run a small business and our family's ranch land is tucked in the heart of southern Alberta. As part of a family operating a small business, I understand the difficulties the past few years have brought upon our rural communities in Livingstone-Macleod with rampant inflation, and run-away cost of living.
My service as a nurse in our community for 12 years has been one of care and compassion to ensure everyone is taken care of in our community.
Taking care of people did not stop at the hospital. I serve as the community coordinator of the fastest growing not-for-profit organization in the community called My City Care. I work to provide a team of volunteers with everything they need to operate our many programs such as the Shop of Wonders, the Cinderella project, Farm to table, and the Lunch box program. I favour a hand up approach, over handouts and these programs work towards this idea.
In 2020, I was recognized locally as Citizen of the Year for my volunteer work and community involvement, which has encouraged me to continue to serve in any way I can.
As the Mayor of Claresholm, I have worked to be of service to my entire community. I knew I needed to get involved in public service after seeing the unprecedented changes and challenges the past few years have brought about in our homes and communities.
I want to ensure we do everything we can to keep this province the best place to live and raise a family.
I lead by example and have never been shy about standing up for my values and beliefs, and I wont be shy about standing up for you.
Listening to the people of Livingstone-Macleod and putting you first is my top priority.
I will continue to stand up for what is best for our communities. With your support, I am standing up to serve our small towns, ranches, farms, and the most beautiful riding in Alberta. I humbly ask for your support to serve as your voice in the legislature.

181. Theo Fleury - The Insane Are Running The Asylum
Theo Fleury is perhaps best known for his time on the ice. But off the rink, his life once carried the markings of a troubled childhood, abuse and coping with emotional pain through addictive and self-destructive behaviours.
Today, Theo defines himself as a victor over trauma and addiction, and a facilitator to those still trying to find their way. His best-selling books, Playing with Fire and Conversations with a Rattlesnake, encourage open sharing and provide practical tools that people seeking help can personally use. These tools are also useful to those who want to lead a productive conversation, called “Real Conversations”, with anybody else experiencing trauma.
Theo has been awarded the Canadian Humanitarian Award and the Queen’s Jubilee Medallion. He is a Siksika Nation Honorary Chief and recipient of the Aboriginal Inspire Award. He also holds two honorary doctorates – one in Science from the University of Guelph-Humber for outstanding contributions to the mental health of Canadians, and another in Laws from Brandon University for his work in combating child abuse and promoting healing and recovery.

113. Dr. Laura Braden - COVID-19, The Great Lie
Dr. Laura Braden is a molecular biologist with a focus in immunology. Her passion for the last 15 years has been immunopathology, disease resistance and host-pathogen interactions using advances in genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and functional immunology. With extensive experience in molecular research, Dr. Braden has traveled all over the world to present her work at scientific conferences. After two post doctoral fellowships in immunology, Dr. Braden was in the early stages of her career but was fired for asking questions about the COVID narrative and speaking out against the unconstitutional and unscientific basis of the draconian mandates in Canada. As a scientist and mother, Dr. Braden will continue to unapologetically fight for the truth and defend the unalienable freedoms of all Canadians.

187. Dr. David Zwoboda - Healing Plants
David is a doctor of physical therapy who started his own company to remotely take care of his fellow jiu jitsu athletes within just a year of finishing PT school. During that time though, he started down his own path of healing using plant medicines, and he became more interested in helping people improve their mental and spiritual health instead of just working on the physical aspects of wellness. Together with his wife, David is now helping others start or progress on their paths with plant medicines through facilitating private psilocybin ceremonies, organizing Ayahuasca retreats with indigenous healers in Peru, and by coaching people on how to incorporate psilocybin microdosing into their lives. He's also on a mission to reinstate an aspect of spirituality into jiu jitsu, which seems to have eschewed this aspect that's shared by every traditional martial art. You can find more on his instagram @davidzbjj or at becomingom.com where you can learn about the microdosing program and the retreats David and his wife offer, including the world's first ever plant medicine infused jiu jitsu retreat in Mexico.

139. Lindsay Wilson - Alberta Proud
Alberta Proud is a grassroots advocacy group, fighting for every day, hardworking Albertans and our energy sector. We stand up to out-of-touch, elitist politicians and celebrities who get in the way of our prosperity with their anti-business, anti-resource ideologies.
We are proud of this province and the people who make it all happen. We believe Alberta has a distinct identity, based on our western roots and entrepreneurial spirit, and our job is to be the voice for the countless Albertans who want to protect and preserve our identity and way of life.
Through our powerful social network that reaches millions each week, we run campaigns that get Albertans riled up and grab the attention of those who make the decisions that impact our lives and livelihoods.
Recent campaigns include telling Ottawa to back down from trying to put surgeon general-style warning labels on our ground beef and pork; pushing for a better deal for Alberta and taking the stand that as long as Quebec blocks our pipelines and expropriates our companies, it’s time to turn off the trade taps; and telling the Trudeau government to back off our farmers with their ridiculous plans to reduce nitrogen emissions by 30% by 2030, equating to a fertilizer reduction for our ag sector that will result in a crop supply shortage and massive financial consequences for that sector.
We stand with our farmers/ranchers, our resource sector workers and all Albertans who love this province the way we do. Join us on all social media platforms, including our Facebook following of over 210,000 people who aren’t afraid to get loud about being Alberta Proud!
----------------------------------------------------------
Lindsay Wilson
A journalist by trade, Lindsay is an award-winning reporter who spent a decade working in Alberta weekly newspapers before embracing her passion for politics and switching gears.
After spending two years on the Calgary mayoral campaign with Jeromy Farkas, Lindsay missed the more objective lens of journalism and has found a middle ground with her role as president and spokesperson of Alberta Proud, part of the Canada Strong & Proud network.
With one of the largest social media followings in the province, Alberta Proud is a grassroots advocacy group that stands up for everyday Albertans and supports ideals and political candidates who are pro-business and pro-resource. Her goal is to elevate Alberta Proud to doing more reporter-style videos that tell the incredible story of Albertans and the political landscape that impacts them.
She credits her passion for storytelling to her mentor, the late Alberta newspaper mogul Jack Tennant, and countless hours in coffee shops conducting interviews. Her love of politics began with her own late mother’s story as a refugee from communism in Eastern Europe in the 60s. Through her years in newspapers, Lindsay emceed and moderated political events and debates and covered all three levels of elections, as well as First Nations elections in Stoney Nakoda.
Growing up on a cattle ranch, Lindsay has also spent many years running a construction company and is a mother of three.
Lindsay is a graduate of the Mount Royal post-grad journalism program with an English/Communications undergraduate degree from the University of Calgary.

180. Tanya Clemens - Stepping In To The Ring
Tanya Clemens, UCP Nomination Candidate or Livingstone-Macleod
Why I’m running:
I am born and raised in Livingstone-Macleod and have always felt the calling to serve my community. I view political leadership as both a service and a civic duty.
Alberta sits at a precipice. If we continue heading toward the sovereign Alberta the United Conservative Party (UCP) is leading us towards, we will realize the prosperity and freedom Albertans deserve. If we do not continue on this path, slipping backwards from this precipice, we risk unprecedented damage to our core industries (natural resource development, agriculture, etc.), resulting in further hardships for Albertans.
I am very proud of our rural roots, entrepreneurial spirit, and strong work ethic. I want power returned to the people of this province and for our elected representatives to acknowledge their leadership as a service to their constituents.
