Taking Back Education

Amber is a true patriot and brave freedom fighter. We talked about her experience fighting against Common Core, Critical Pedagogue, SEL, and CRT. She started being involved in her school district when the superintendent renounced his whiteness in an email to parents and invited Jason Reynolds, the coauthor of Stamped to speak to students without informing parents beforehand.

JD is the creator and owner of schoolboardaudit.com. We talked about why he started his website to hold school board members accountable and promote candidates to run for school board next year. We also talked about his experience with school boards.

We talked about many students suffering from dyslexia, and how teachers and parents can help their students or children overcome it. It was estimated up to 20% of students in Indian suffer from dyslexia at different severity. Many parents are not even aware that their children suffer from it. And many schools are not equipped to help those students.

Justin and I talked about why we think the government compulsory schooling system is the root cause of all the problems we are experiencing. Its purpose never is to serve the parents and their children. We also talked about alternative education models.

I talked with the educator and author, Justin Spears, about his book. Both of us became teachers after having worked in the real world and saw what is wrong with America's schooling system from the inside. Parents need to take back control of how their kids should be educated.
