All of these learners are on the autistic spectrum. In fact the Chalkboard Champs is a small school for autistic learners. The 2 teachers working with these learners are very good at what they do. They contacted us at Trophy Robotics to see if we can help the learners and we decided to start them on LEGO WeDo. The project are easy enough for them to do and they are enjoying it very much. Their ages ranges between 10 and 18.

A few days ago a grade 10 learners ask me to help him with a project. He did all the research , but got stuck on the building of the thing and he was pressed for time. He also have very little experience in building these kind of projects. In the end he and his mom walk away with the project, feeling that they achieved something.

I have designed this robotic arm for grade 4 to 7 learners. It took them 4 hours to complete the whole project ( in other words - 4 weeks), but hey who is counting when you have fun, even if it is hard fun!

I've designed the "SquareBot" for a workshop with "parents and children". It seems to me that parents just don't spend enough time with their kids anymore. Setting up an simple activity for them, just seems like the right thing to do. The primary function of the "SquareBot" was to get the kids and parent working together to get the job done and them have some fun, either programming it, or controlling it with a tablet or cellphone, playing "SquareBot" soccer.
