01/02/23 - "Are we following Christ this New Year?" (Sermon Sunday)
Are we following Christ this New Year?
Many had left their previous engagements to follow Jesus superficially for the drama and entertainment, seeking signs that were different from what they meant. They sought physical food, not spiritual. And it was time for Jesus in His ministry to make them choose, they had a grace period, but now that period came to expiration, so through His word, they were going to be forced to either become true believers (i.e., truly believing what Jesus was teaching, having faith in Him and acting upon that faith producing obedience in the work of God which leads to eternal life), OR, they could go back to the Pharisees and their way of life before Christ.
What will we choose to do in this new year? Will we follow the Word of Christ, which leads to eternal life, or recoil and return to the Pharisees and the synagogues they oppress? Will we return to sin or remain free in Christ? Going back to lawlessness has a dead end, but continuing with Christ has much hope and goals. We will convert souls, and we will purchase land. We will be neighbors, and we will build a school for our Lord. We will continue to be a growing family united in all things and have eternal life.
All who seek redemption come to Christ in repentance; if we get in contact with the flesh and blood of Christ, we will be born again, and if we are born again, He will keep us secure in His love.

12/19/22 - "It is I; do not be afraid" (Sermon Sunday)
Away from Jesus, we frequently find ourselves in locations of potential danger, do we not? Certainly. Such is the spiritual warfare of our lives on this earth.
When we see Jesus through the inspired Words of the Holy Bible (the source of our salvation; 1 Pt. 1:23) for who He truly is (all-powerful and authoritative, Mt. 28:18-20), our call to change becomes apparent in our lives. And "repentance," the way we think and live, needing to change is frightening. We are creatures of habit, and when our location is away from God, we find comfort under a dragon's wing. Christ has come to redeem us from the debt we owe to the dragon, which is a concerning moment for us to think we must go away from the slavery of sinful practices and beliefs. Because if we choose to receive Jesus into our vessel, who knows what will happen? It is true we will lose relationships, perhaps employment, and our sinful practices, but the focus is not on what we lose but on what we gain; salvation, freedom, safety, a better way of life -- an eternal life. And what does it mean for you and me to receive Christ into our hearts this day? Jesus tells us it is when we surrender our lives to Him within the new birth, being born again out of the water and the spirit, added to His kingdom. And this Gospel, good news, is available to everyone poor in spirit, seeking salvation.
Please take the time to listen to the sermon session, and reach out if we can serve further in any way. Thank you.

12/05/22 - "The Christ vs. The Jews" (Sermon Sunday)
Power vs. Pride - John 5:30-47,
Christ has legal authority for judgment. He is God, He is love, He is a worker, and He has all power. His majesty ministers to the dead to give them life. He has the objective of resurrecting those who hear and believe. And He will deliver His testimony with legal proceedings - Jesus has witnessed, His equality with the Father. Witnesses are following the law they know very well. The Father Has written through His Spirit concerning His Son, and the Scriptures are legal documents presented in this spiritual courtroom. These things Christ speaks to remain lawful before His brethren. And to defend His integrity before the leadership, which indeed knew the law to their selfish desires, Christ, knowing this deficit within them, continues with the case.
Journey with us as this trial proceeds.

11/28/22 - "A Matter of Life & Death" (Sermon Sunday)
We continue our Sermon Sunday Sessions within the Gospel of John as we worship in Spirit and Truth. Today we ask ourselves a question…
Do we hear the Word of God?
It's a matter of the heart; are we humble? "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." (Matt. 5:3).
It's a matter of obedience; do we love Jesus? "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves" (James 1:22).
It's a matter of faith; do we trust Christ? "What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no works? Can that kind of faith save them?" No, it can't save anyone, nor will it keep one saved either (James 2).
Journey with us within the inspired Word revealed in John 5:24-32 as we seek to "hear" the truth.

11/21/22 - "Equal with the Father" (Sermon Sunday)
We continue our sermon session within the Gospel of John, and thus far, we have read revealing landscapes teaching us of our Master, the Christ, His Nature and purpose on this earth, and His various interactions with Jews and non-Jews. John tells, to great controversy, that the non-believers were quick to learn and practice genuine faith. At the same time, the believers had too many reservations, neglect, and rejections, leaving them with nothing more than superficial faith. And this shallow faith was the reason they sought to harm our Lord with great hostility.
Christ will go from dialogue to monologue in the portion of Scripture we endeavour this hour, teaching His Equality with His Father. The Pharisees thought Him in opposition to the Father because He “clearly broke the Sabbath,” right? Again, these kinds make their academic pursuits into tradition and tradition into law.
So Christ will proceed to inform and instruct the audience with the truth. We are wise to journey with Him as we follow His teaching.

11/14/22 - "for this reason they tried to murder Him" (Sermon Sunday)
Journey with us in our Sermon Sunday session as we continue to explore our way through the Gospel of John. Within this section of Scripture we investigate the witnessed and recorded account of hospitily towards Jesus, this on the account of a man who was sick for 38 years. Because Jesus violated Jewish tradition and also made Himself equal with His Father, religious leaders sought all the more to murder Him. What can we learn from this moment in our history?
Please be sure to follow, like, share, and comment, in order to help the substance of our efforts reach the community. Thank you and God bless.

"Sick for 38 Years" (Sermon Sunday)
"Do you wish to get well?"
When we are sick for many months or years, we can fall into the snare of focusing on our weaknesses instead of our strengths. And this, at times, can lead to being overly dependent on others. And as it was for this man, Jesus knew He had to challenge him out of this way of thinking.
God will teach us to stop feeling sorry for ourselves and take responsibility for our lives, doing so correctly, being productive as an asset, no longer a liability.
