Howling: New Moon Rising, aka: Howling: Mystery Woman, aka Howling VII, is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. It's a hilarious mess of a movie that has virtually nothing to do with werewolves. I was pleasantly surprised by The Pope's Exorcist. Maybe it helped that I watched it with incredibly low expectations. Still, Russell Crowe gives a fun performance as an exorcist and the family does a convincing job being terrorized by a child possessed by a demon. It's not scary but it's definitely entertaining! I just left the Regal Monday Mystery Movie. It was It Lives Inside. A new scary flick that I had never heard of. It was fun going into a movie like this without seeing a trailer ahead of time. Unfortunately, it's not the most exciting watch. A pretty boring cast, a slow pace and a meager budget put It Lives Inside on the less memorable side of things. The Pope's Exorcist 2023 Movie Review. Russell Crowe stars as a man of faith on a mission to remove demons from innocent folks. The exorcisms continue to get more aggressive and soon he will be going up against his greatest challenge yet! I had zero interest in seeing The Pope's Exorcist, so imagine my surprise when it turned out to be a pretty enjoyable watch. It's got a fast pace, some solid effects, a great performance from Crowe and an interesting vibe to it. I watched The Pope's Exorcist on Netflix since I missed it in theaters. I need to yell this one more time for the back row. MOVIES ARE TOO LONG NOW! I miss the 90 minute runtimes that were more common in the 90s. A fast runtime can make a somewhat mediocre experience far more enjoyable. "Leaving an audience wanting more" used to be the main goal. Now it's "Leave the audience wanting less" and I'm not having it! Now, there are plenty of films that earn the lengthy runtime but more often than not, shaving 20 minute off doesn't seem to have a negative effect. In fact, it's preferable. Grant Turismo 2023 movie review. Based on the popular Playstation driving simulator; Gran Turismo tells the true story of Jann Mardenborough and other gamers getting the opportunity to take their driving skills in the video game and translate them to the real thing. Nissan and Sony put on a contest to see which player can successfully race and win in Nascar. I thought Gran Turismo was going to be another mediocre Sony film with tons of product placement and zero soul behind it. I was wrong. Yes, it's a glorified commercial but it has heart, energy, a great pace, likable leads and fantastic cinematography. Gran Turismo is so much better than it has any right to be! Joss Whedon presents: The most pointless scene in a superhero movie. The Sword Tip! Wonder Woman loses her sword as it slides down a catwalk. The Flash notices and helps tip it back to her. What was the point? It was going to land next to her on the ground anyways. She killed on parademon who poses no real threat. This whole scene is useless. It ends with him falling on her chest. Wonder Woman isn't impressed. Neither am I. The new trailer for the 2-part Netflix movie Rebel Moon is here! I give an adult reaction to Rebel Moon while having a nice afternoon stroll in the park. Zack Snyder is incredibly hit and miss for me so seeing this trailer for a large-scale sci-fi action/drama is toying with a lot of my emotions. Today's roast is a real doozy. One of the biggest big-budget disasters put on the silver screen. Zack Snyder's Justice League would eventually see the light of day but this version... this ain't it. Joss Whedon was hired on to "finish" what Snyder had started but instead went a different route. Warner Bros. decided they needed to fix the film and reshoot/re-edit and basically remake the entire Justice League movie. What we have is a Frankenstein's monster of a picture.
