"There were some very vocal people who were absolutely against what I was saying, totally. And I, like loads of people, lost friends and family members. "Back in the old days (…) they said if you go to an allopath, you'll die of the treatment before the disease. You go to a homeopath, you'll die of the disease instead of the treatment. So, there's always been a balance there. If you look at the body, it has intelligence! And there is an innate intelligence," Dr Bergman explained to Jemma Cooper. "Unless you have a bone sticking out and you're trying to take some morphine to lessen that pain, and short-term they could be life-saving, but if you take these medications to keep you alive, they're really going to slowly kill you, on a general basis."
