Biden has begun referring to Trump’s supporters in Congress and those running in November as Ultra MAGA. All this political theatre by Biden and the Democrats is to distract from the fact the cost of living for Americans is increasing with inflation out of control at 8.1% the highest rise since 1981. Gasoline prices have topped $5USD a gallon (3.7 liters) for the first time and interest rates have just gone up by 0.75%. Topping that off is a national shortage of baby formula and now tampons. The Democrat-controlled Congress has sent billions to Ukraine while Americans at home struggle. On this week's WilmsFront I interview pro-freedom Independent Victorian Senate Candidate and professional actor Damien Richardson about his policy platform and campaign. Damien’s acting career has included major roles in the Australian television series Neighbours and City Homicide. He became involved in the anti-lockdown protests in Melbourne after the vaccine mandates began to be rolled out as he had just started a new job in the construction industry. He was involved in the week of rage protests including the Siege at the Shrine in September 2021 where Victoria Police shot protestors with rubber bullets. Damien became a co-host of the popular Cafe Locked Out show with Michael Gray Griffith. He and his children have had to navigate all the vaccine mandate and passport rules over the past 6 months. Damien decided to run as an independent rather than with a pro-freedom minor party so he could have his own platform not just read party talking points. The mainstream media is hoping for a rating bounce with war coverage after people began to switch off after their covid fear narrative unraveled. CNN host Brian Stelter believes the network’s war coverage could turn around the record low ratings. In the western media, there has been plenty of lionizing of the Ukrainian people’s guerilla fightback and its President Volodymyr Zelensky who was a comedian before being elected President in 2019. This war is more nuanced than is being sold to the western population. The Donbas regions of Eastern Ukraine have been at war with the Government in Kyiv since the western-backed 2014 Euromadien revolution which overthrew the elected pro-Russian President which resulted in Russia annexing Crimea. NATO and Australia will be sending weapons to Ukraine, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced Germany would rearm itself and rebuild its fossil fuel reserves. In response, Vladimir Putin has put Russia on its highest alert for nuclear deterrence. Nuclear radiation is a lot more deadly than a respiratory virus most of the western world is vaccinated against. Masks won’t protect people from nuclear fallout. Financial sanctions including kicking Russia out of the international SWIFT banking payment system have triggered a run on local banks, the value of the ruble has collapsed leading the Russian Central Bank to double interest rates. Russia has been kicked out of FIFA and was stripped of the UFEA Champions League Final and the F1. Western cable companies have removed Russia Today from their platforms for putting forward Russia’s view of the war. In local media news Nick McKenzie and his Producer Joel Tozer won a Walkley Award for their 60 Minutes story doxxing members of the National Socialist Network by using an infiltrator who went by the name of Dave Ryan.
