Sarasota County has sandbag stations open for Hurricane Idalia

More than 104,000 people in our country are on the National Organ Transplant Waiting List, and every day, 17 people will die without the organ they need. But scientists have hit a new milestone in organ transplantation.

Idalia is strengthening and pickup up speed as it moves north in the Gulf of Mexico.

The latest advisory has Idalia moving north at 8mph with winds of 65mph.

At 8 AM, Tropical Storm Idalia is located east-southeast of Cozumel, Mexico, or about 500 miles southwest of Fort Myers.

According to LCSO, the shooting happened near 22nd Street SW and Harlow Avenue South.

At 11 p.m., Tropical Storm Idalia is located about 500 miles southwest of Fort Myers. Idalia currently has wind speeds of 60 mph and is expected to be a category 1 Hurricane by Monday evening.

As Tropical Storm Idalia inches closer, Port Charlotte residents are preparing for the storm while also still recovering from Ian.

Englewood and Grove City residents and businesses tell Fox 4 they have not began prepping yet but are watching the storm.
