The Brown County Coroner's Office determined two bullets hit Brittany Stykes and at least three struck the driver's side door of her vehicle. The coroner did not find gunshot residue at the site of the murder, indicating Brittany was not shot at close range. She also had several abrasions to her face, right arm and fingers, as well as abrasions to her right leg.

Senator Mitch McConnell froze up for multiple seconds Wednesday during a forum in Covington. The Senate GOP leader was answering questions during the event when he said he couldn't hear the question. The Republican leader then stopped speaking before staring off into space for multiple seconds. After the ordeal, McConnell finished the press conference.

An early morning Wednesday crash sent seven people to the hospital, including two teens and three small children. The crash involved three vehicles, a Three Rivers Local School District employee and students.

Three people are displaced after an apartment fire in Over-the-Rhine, the Cincinnati Fire Department said in a press release. Around 3 a.m. Friday, 40 firefighters responded to the report of a burning apartment building above the Macaron Bar on Main Street. When they arrived, they saw smoke coming from the top floor of the 5 story building. Investigators said the fire started in the ceiling area between the fourth and fifth floors. Thankfully, they were quickly able to control the fire.

The WCPO 9 Football Friday Game of the Week, Moeller vs. East Central, kicked off at 7:30 p.m. in the fourth consecutive season the two teams have met. East Central remains undefeated after a 38-28 win against Moeller.

Heading across the river to Northern Kentucky, Cooper took on Ryle for a heated battle. Ryle led at the end of the first quarter due to a rushing TD from senior quarterback Logan Verax. The Raiders made a statement win with a 28-10 over Cooper. This marks two straight wins for Ryle after their season-opening loss at CovCath.

One person is dead after a shooting outside a Clifton hotel, according to the Hamilton County Coroner's Office. Cincinnati police were called to the hotel on Central Parkway at around 10:40 p.m. Monday night for a report of a person shot. When they arrived, they found a 34-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound; the man was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Cincinnati police said not long after that, two additional people showed up at area hospitals with gunshot wounds. Police did not provide information on how badly they are hurt.

A 70-year-old man is dead days after a shooting on I-75 North Saturday night. Cincinnati police said officers responded to the 6.2 mile marker of I-75 North just after 9 p.m. for a reported crash. When they got there, first responders found one man had been shot. The Hamilton County Coroner's Office identified the man as Michael T. Sweeney.

Darryn, 51, is the associate head football coach at Lakota East High School. Arryn, 31, a former University of Cincinnati defensive back, is the Winton Woods special teams coordinator who works with defensive backs, too. "They're always talking about football, talking about life," said Kennedy Chenault, Darryn's daughter and Arryn's cousin. "They have a bond like no other." The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said Reading police requested mutual aid from nearby police departments in the 1200 block of Third Street after officers tracked down a man accused of robbing a Fifth Third Bank at gunpoint at around 1:30 p.m. Monday.
