At least two people are dead following a crash involving a Springfield Twp. police cruiser in North College Hill.

The attorney for Ashley Rhiles said she left home for less than 20 minutes when a fire broke out and killed two of her children. "There was no intentional harm. There was no abuse from her," her attorney said. "She's never been ever alleged to have touched or injured any of her children. I can assert as her counsel that this has been an incredibly devastating situation for her."

The Reds start the season 0-1, losing a close game to the Pittsburgh Pirates. Opening Day starter Hunter Greene told reporters, "Today is a tough day," noting the team spoke about the importance of starting off right during spring training.

"That's the first time I remember going to games and walking in and everything being so huge and all the different colors," DeMaris said. His first Opening Day game wasn't until much later, in 1993. After that experience, he said he's been going to the Opening Day game ever since.

Two Army helicopters crashed Wednesday night in southwestern Kentucky during a routine training mission, causing “several” casualties, military officials said. The two HH-60 Blackhawk helicopters, part of the 101st Airborne Division, crashed around 10 p.m. Wednesday in Trigg County, Kentucky, according to a statement from Fort Campbell.

When crews responded to a fire at one West Chester apartment complex, they found four children inside alone. Two of those children died from their injuries. Their mother, Ashley Rhiles, was indicted on two counts of involuntary manslaughter and four counts of endangering children.

Fairfield Township police said Sydney Garcia-Tovar was in the wrong place at the wrong time when bullets began flying. As she was leaving Tyler's Creek apartments, bullets hit her car, striking her in the back of the head and hitting a passenger.

Officials said six employees at the Grant County Detention Center, including jailer Mike Webster, received Narcan after "exposure to an unknown substance." The jail said Webster, four deputy jailers and one nurse were exposed to the unknown substance while responding to a medical emergency in a cell. The six employees and an inmate received Narcan and were treated for an overdose. Kentucky State Police and the Grant County Sheriff's Office are helping investigate the situation, the jail said.

Following the conclusion of the parade, people will have plenty of time to enjoy the Reds Opening Day festivities ahead of the Opening Day game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. It starts at 4:10 p.m.

Seven people were displaced after a fire in North College Hill Monday night

There will be an "increased law enforcement presence on the Little Miami Middle School campus Wednesday due to an anonymous threat, a district spokeswoman said in a letter. According to Director of Communications Emily Johnson, an "anonymous, non-specific threat of violence was found written in the girls bathroom." Hamilton Township police along with school administration are investigating this incident. The threat was discovered on Tuesday. The district made the decision to stay open Wednesday.

A woman being evicted from her home claims her landlord told her he wanted her gone because of the color of her skin. Dermisha Pickett's lawyer shared alleged text messages from her landlord where he mentions that he would 'rather put a white family in this unit.'

While the cameras can't detect speed and don't have facial recognition, they can run plate numbers and get a car's make, model and color. Some residents said they're wearing of Loveland using the cameras.
