At least 30 dead dogs and 86 living dogs were discovered and seized at an animal shelter in Madison Township called Helping Hands for Furry Paws, according to the Butler County Sheriff's Office. E. coli found in Caesar Creek Lake, advisory issued
The water in Caesar Creek Lake has tested positive for E. Coli, according to Park Manager Tiffany DeChant-Hunt. The Ohio Department Of Natural Resources (ODNR) tests the water at least every two weeks during the busy summer months. And the most recent positive test is from July 26, DeChant-Hunt said. The bacteria was found in the waters surrounding the lake's public beach, according to DeChant-Hunt. She also told WCPO that the E. Coli tests came back negative at the campground's swim area.

Surveillance footage shows firefighters battling fire at Rumpke's recycling facility
This month alone, five different fires have broken out at Rumpke's Cincinnati Recycling Facility in St. Bernard as a result of items making it into the facility that shouldn't, according to a spokesperson with Rumpke. "This week we experienced our fifth fire at our Cincinnati Recycling Facility and all of these fires have been caused by the same thing: wrong items being placed in recycling containers," said Molly Yeager, communications manager with Rumpke. "It's been aerosol cans that still have material left in them or were flammable to begin with. It's been batteries that have caused problems, specifically lithium ion batteries."
