Dan Stephenson memorial tribute
Memorial tribute for Dan, who sadly left us unexpectedly.
Edit: Though this is a very personal video, I decided to make it public so that people grieving Dan are able to search for it, and not have to rely on an old Facebook post to find the exact URL.
I haven't posted it for likes and views like I would other videos, I've posted it because I love and miss this guy, and know that many others do too.

Herald Tribune World Youth Forum (1958) [colourised]
Helen Hiett Waller hosts a live show of 'The World We Want' from 1958 in which students from around the world come to America and discuss various issues.
This is a slightly different format to the other The World We Want videos, which typically feature students from a few different countries having a discussion - this video is a larger debate and appears to be in front of an audience rather than a studio.

Tales of Tomorrow: Appointment On Mars
First released in 1952, this exploits the paranoia of first-wave exploerers to Mars, and in this episode - they acceptance of the Minining (Boring) company.
I left the synopsis as is, because it's the owner of a Mining company on Mars (in 2022, don't we all know a Boring company that has an interest in Mars?)
And one of the actors was Leslie Nielsen.
Yep, the very same Leslie Nielsen from Airplane!

The Veil: Episode 4 (1958) [colourised]
Well, this is actually episode 3: 'Food on the Table.'
Due to a labeling mix-up, the last part of the the trilogy video I'd last uploaded was actually Episode 4 : 'The Doctors'
Given that the episodes are unconnected, and it's not too chronologically important to watch them in the right order, I thought it best to keep them as they are. I didnt didn't want to upload Episodes 1, 2 and 4 but not 3.

Rainbow Quest: Episode 1 (1965) [colourised]
'Rainbow Quest' was a musical talk show hosted by Pete Seeger, and I'll be totally honest - I've fallen in love with it, and want to colourise and archive more of it!
This is the first episode, and I'm always very dubious about uploading videos with music incase it gets struck - but colourising this appeared to let it through the net.
In this video, Pete explores Folk music - and has some guests:
00:00 Pete Seeger (Host)
00:13 'Oh Had I A Golden Thread'
02:50 'Introduction'
Incredibly poignant, he was talking about TV, but it could well mean The Internet and this video....
03:32 - 'Cotton Eye Joe'
I learnt that this was not originally a Rednex track, and is as old as time, and even predates the Bill Monroe version!
04:31 - Pete taling about the 'magic box' that still feels relevant today.
05:50 - Pete showing how to play guitar
06:36 - 'Living in the country'
0:10: 26 - The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem (Guest)
12:08 - 'Little Paper Man'
14:06 - Anecdote
14:28 - 'The Old Woman From Wexford'
16:35 - Interview
16:58 'Tommy Makem - The Butcher Boy (Irish version)'
20:24 - Interview
21:17 'I Never Will Play the Wild Rover No More'
This song seemed so familiar to me, then I recognised it as the 'We all love Clover' advert: testament to how powerful advertising is!
24:30 - Tom Paxton (Guest)
25:54 'Where Were You When the Lights Went Out?'
27:44 - Interview
29:29: 'Buy A Gun for Your Son'
31:44 - Interview, which ends mid-sentence, I must warn you.
I would love to know what that sentence was.
Doing research on the show, it appears that he explores a different episode, and has such a wholesome attitude.
To me, he feels like the Bob Ross of music.

Medic - I Climb The Stairs (1954) [colourised]
Medic was a TV Series from the 1950s that I've only just come across; I'm so impressed at their unflinching look at the culture of those practicing medicine, and how they don't shy away from showing accurate representations of operations, and using real terminology.
I've looked through a few blurbs of episodes, and tried to choose an episode that isn't too uncomfortably close to home for viewers who may be affected by the subject content.
