Rockefeller Center and New York's Forgotten Garden
Use code thehistoryguy at https://incogni.com/thehistoryguy to get an exclusive 60% off an annual Incogni plan.
You might not think of New York City as a Garden, yet, at one time, one of the most fabulous gardens on the continent bloomed where today some of the city’s most famous buildings stand. You might never have heard of David Hosack, but he deserves to be remembered, as well as the now forgotten place where they paved paradise, and put up a parking lot.

It might surprise many Americans to find out that the Pilgrims did not sail on the Mayflower from England directly to the New World. Many first spent 12 years in a Dutch city that played a huge role in cementing and influencing their beliefs.
