War With Woes Wins Wonders
War With Woes Wins Wonders
Woe! Woe! Woe! We wordless wimps wailed while waiting, worrying, writhing within, wriggling.
Wearily working wretched wrinkles, wringing welted wrists- wheelwrights without wheels.
Why, who would wonder, with wild whistling winds with waters whirling, wholly whomping without warning, whoever, wherever, whenever, whatever, whichever? “Why? When will wild waters wane?” Wan, we wondered with worn wills, words wanting. Weepers, with wings wanting, will whining win?
Well, wait! What wonderful, warm, windy weather we were wistfully wanting, wishing wind would winnow wetlands where we wobbly waded with water waves, wet-waisted while wallowing, woefully waterlogged, whispering wailfully, waxing weak, weighted where wetted, wincing, weeping, with wits withering, well-nigh wasted, weathering what? With westerly winds, we warriors without weapons win! War with woes wins wonders… Wow

Introduction by Victor Hafichuk
Hi everyone. It’s all about the Lord Jesus Christ. That’s what it’s all about. That’s what life is all about. That’s what everything around us is about.
My name is Victor Hafichuk and I would like to tell the world that I walk with Him, and He walks with me. The Lord Jesus Christ is my life. I love Him, because as the Bible says, He first loved me. I would like the whole world to know about Him. I would like the whole world to experience Him, as a Person – directly, personally.
I would like to see people all around me, it doesn’t matter who it is, I don’t care who you are. I don’t care if it’s a believer or unbeliever. I don’t care if you’re Catholic or Buddhist or atheist or Muslim or whatever. My heart’s desire, my goal, my reason for being, is to identify with the Lord Jesus Christ in this world. I’d like to publish the News everywhere that He lives. Jesus Christ raised Himself from the dead around 2000 years ago and He lives today, and I know Him and I walk with Him. I’m thankful for that. Is it because of anything that I’ve done or anything that I’ve had? No, not at all. I’m totally unworthy. I really am.
I just wanted want to let you in on something that happened here just a few moments ago. This is my first video in terms of speaking to people. My wife Marilyn was helping me to set this thing up and I was getting a little frustrated with her and this is just before I’m supposed to be coming on, and what, feeling good about talking to everybody?
But there it is. It’s the frailty of humanity. It’s my frailty. I have nothing of any worth to me and myself – nothing, absolutely nothing. And, neither do you. Nobody has anything going for them. If there was only one person living on earth, Jesus Christ would have had to die on the cross and raise Himself from the dead to save that person. I don’t care who that person is – it doesn’t matter. There was only One Righteous Life ever lived on this planet and that was Jesus Christ when He walked the earth for 33 some years.
We’re all unworthy, every last one of us. I remember back in 1997 the Lord pressing home to me the fact that we are all in wrongness. It was around 2002, 2003, that we started to preach on the internet and our site is ThePathofTruth.com. I just had that desire to get the message out, to tell the people the things that the Lord had been teaching me ever since 1973.
I’m so thankful to know the things that I know. I’m so thankful to be able to speak, to share those things with others. I’m so thankful for what the Lord’s done for us. It was hard. It was a long journey. It was a battle, but the promise is kept. The promises that the Lord makes to us as believers, as spiritual pilgrims, sojourners, here in this world, they come to pass. I can tell you, I can tell you, that if a person walks with the Lord, continues in that path, to the end, overcomes to the end, their reward is there.
Never doubt it. And it will often look otherwise, but you need to believe. You need to believe His Word. You can’t believe appearances. You can’t believe men. You can’t believe yourself. You have to let go of what you’ve been believing, if it’s contrary to what He tells you, if it’s contrary to what He shows you in life and in the Scriptures, you’re going to have to let go.
People say “Victor, you believe what you want to believe.” You hear that. It’s not true. I do want to believe what I believe, now, but there was a time when I did not want to believe the truth and that’s the way it is with everybody, everybody. And in order to believe the truth you’re going to have to let go of yourself. You’re going to have to let go of what you believe. That’s the way it is. So no, I don’t believe what I want to believe – I do now; that’s the way it is, now that I’ve come through. But there was a time when I did not want to believe the truth. I wanted to believe what I believed.
I was born and raised Catholic. Not that it matters, it doesn’t matter whether you’ve been Catholic, or Baptist, or Pentecostal, or Salvation Army, or Mormon, or Jehovah’s Witness, or any of those – any of them, doesn’t matter. It’s not about church. It’s not about religion. It’s not about some sort of religious practice or philosophy or anything like that. No.
People say, “You’re religious.”
I say, “No.”
“But you mentioned Jesus Christ.”
Yes, what’s that got to do with religion? Religion is His enemy. Religion is man-made. Religion is abominable to the Lord Jesus Christ and because He has taken me out of religion, because He has given me reality, He’s given me life, and now I proclaim Him and just because He has been connected to religion – quite centrally, of course, in the Christian religion. Therefore, people say I’m religious.
Well, partly that’s to be understood, but really, I want you to know, this is not about religion. This is not about church. This is not about formality. This is not about good things to think about or talk about. This is not about piety on our part, by our virtue. It’s about the Lord Jesus Christ and He has nothing to do with religion.
Religion slew Him. Religion crucified Him. Religion is man’s works, man’s effort of trying to be right with God, assuming, presuming to be right with God, and man is going about it the wrong way altogether. It has to be the Lord’s righteousness, not ours. Ours is His enemy. Our righteousness is His enemy. It says that the carnal mind is at enmity with God. Flesh lusts against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh.
There’s another reason why people say I’m religious. It’s because I believe the Bible. I know the Bible. I know that it’s God Who put the Bible together, I know that. A lot of people don’t believe that. And, the Bible is not about religion. It’s God’s expression to mankind and a description of His program of salvation for all of mankind. Did I say all of mankind? Yes, yes, all of mankind. The Lord is in the process of forming man in His image. I’m so thankful to know these things.
I’m going to be posting, Lord willing, I’m going to be talking, just rambling like I am right now, talking to you about the things that I want to talk about, things that just come to my mind that the Lord may be giving me or that I may think of, either way. I want to express those things. I want to post them. I want the world to know that I love the Lord Jesus Christ. I want the world to know about Him. I want the world to know what His will is. I want the world to know how to enter into that relationship with Him, if He is willing. He has to choose us, we really can’t choose Him. It’s like He said to His disciples, the apostles, “You haven’t chosen Me, I’ve chosen you.”
So, Lord willing, I’ll be able to share with you, and the words that I speak may well serve to be seed planted in good soil that will bring good fruit, and in all of it the Lord needs to be glorified. Not us. Not our movements. Not our works. Not numbers. Not accomplishments of any kind. No, no, it’s just the Lord Jesus Christ. And whether we have many coming with us or not doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter.
In fact, the Lord does say there won’t be many. It’s only the very few that come through that narrow gate and walk on that narrow path; very few. Most people take the broad way, the way that seems easiest, most pleasant and has the most social benefits. But if you’re going to walk with the Lord, you’re going to have to take up your cross, and that means to choose the truth against yourself – against yourself. That’s the cross – to forsake yourself for the truth, to forsake yourself for the calling on your life.
Do you want the Lord Jesus Christ? You can’t simply “accept Him.” You can’t simply “believe” Him in the sense that we think of the word, “believe.” You need to take up your cross. You need to let go of yourself. He alone can do that for you. You can’t even do that. You’re called to do it, you’re called to repent but He has to give you the power, the grace to do that.
That’s Jesus Christ the Savior. We need a Savior, totally, not partially. We can’t work together as though we have some virtue, some power – doesn’t work that way. It’s all His. It’s all His work. And all we do is respond to what he is doing with us. That’s how it works.
I’m hoping that I’ll be able to talk to you in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and give you His Words, His Heart, His Spirit, so that you know that it’s the Lord talking to you. I’m not asking you for anything; I’m just telling you what’s happening. I’m telling you Who He is. I’m telling you what He does in my life and in the lives of others. I’d like to give you some understanding, if I can. God willing all these things will be happening. I’m glad that you were able to see this today.

Being Honest with Him Who is Faithful and True
Transcript
Hi Everyone, I just wanted to take this opportunity to share some things that might be on my mind and my heart.
I want you to know that the Lord is faithful. If I can say anything about the Lord Jesus Christ, He’s faithful, He’s true. You can trust Him, completely.
When you first start in your walk of faith with Him, you’re turning away from sin. Of course, you have to confess and repent of your sins. You do have to do that, of course.
That’s what it’s all about. That’s where you start. That’s an absolute necessity.
And you need to confess to the people that you‘ve wronged, you need to apologize to them. You need to make restitution wherever possible.
There is no such a thing as a repentance without doing your neighbor good, without doing your neighbor right.
When people came to John the Baptist in the Gospels, he called people to repentance and it says in the Scriptures they came confessing their sins. They came confessing their sins.
You don’t just sit in a meeting and some preacher at the front will say to you, “Well, anybody that wants to ‘accept Jesus in their heart,’ just raise your hand. Nobody look; everybody have their heads bowed and eyes closed. And just raise your hand If you accept Jesus Christ.” People, it does not work that way. It does not work that way.
People came confessing their sins, it says in the Scriptures and in the Gospels. If the Bible isn’t trustworthy for guidance for us, I’ll tell you all these preachers that try to convert as many or proselytize as many people as possible and join them into their kingdoms and to their churches, they’re not gonna, they’re not gonna give you the straight goods. They’re just not going to do that. You need to get the straight goods from the Lord.
And, you need to get straight with the Lord. You need to come clean with Him. If you have sins, you need to get right with God. You need to get them… dealt with among all people with whom you have to do and with the Lord.
And that’s part of the cross that you take up. It’s to let go of yourself. It’s to, it’s to… deny yourself. Now, instead of you coming first and hiding things, sheltering yourself, from what? Indignity? From shame? From humiliation? No. You have to make yourself, you have to get right with the Lord. He’ll give you the grace to come through. He’ll just do that.
And when you do step forth and obey Him, obey the Scriptures, do things the way the Lord wants you to do them and not the way you want to do them or that others might want you to do them, the Lord will honor you. He will demonstrate His faithfulness – His truth to you. He is the Truth. He knows what He’s doing and you need to trust Him and you need to let go of your profits, your desires, your ways of thinking.
His ways and thoughts are well beyond ours. Get honest with Him, get honest with yourself, get honest with people. Be right. Be right. He’ll give you that grace.
I’m thankful for what the Lord has done for me and for others. And He’ll take you through fires. He’ll take you through the valley of the shadow of death. But you’re not to fear any evil. He comforts you; He’ll bring you through. Yeah, the fires can get hot. The cross can be very difficult to bear. But that’s not a problem for Him. That’s not a problem, but it is the gateway into the Kingdom of God.
That’s the way things work. It’s the reality. It’s not easy. It is not just so simple as people say. Yeah, there is that simplicity in the Lord. It boils down to something very simple. Yes. But, when you take up your cross when you’re going to do the will of God and deny yourself, it’s… not easy; nobody says it’s easy.
The Bible doesn’t say it’s easy. Preachers will tell you it’s easy, many will, as long as you join their organization or their church or become members and profess faith in Christ… people try to make it sound easy, make it easy for you, but taking up the cross and dying to self is not easy. That’s all there is to it.
But, it’s the way to go. And the Lord will do whatever is necessary. He is able to take care of anything in your life. I don’t care what you are dealing with, whether it’s social problems, or health problems, or occupational problems of any kind, economic problems; whatever it is, it doesn’t matter. There is no problem that the Lord can’t solve for you. No problem. No problem.
And He is the only one that can really do what is needful for you. There is nobody else, there’s no religion, there’s no person, there’s no denomination, there’s no church system, no group of people, no set of doctrines that can do that for you. Only the Lord Jesus Christ can do that. He laid down His life for you, nobody else did. He’ll do everything that’s needful.
Believe me, I’ve walked with the Lord now since 1973 and He has proved Himself faithful. There were times when I doubted, there were times I was disappointed, angry, frustrated, full of unbelief, but none of that mattered. He brought me through, He brought me through.
I’m no hero, for sure. I’m no better or no different than anybody else. The Lord is very, very different and He’s the best, He’s not just better, He’s the best. He’s all goodness, all righteousness, all truth. How can you lose? He’s omnipotent. He knows it all. He can do anything. With men, these things are impossible but with God all things are possible.
I want you to know that. I’m taking this opportunity today to just share those things that are on my mind and my heart. And I’m thankful for being able to bring these things to you and I hope that if there’s any kind of helplessness or hopelessness in your life that you’ll understand the Lord can take care of all of that. He can.
There’s hope in Him, sure hope.
That’s it.

Why We Expose False Teachers
Transcript
Hi everybody. I’d like to discuss a couple of things that have been on my mind, and I’d like you to know these things. I think it’s good for everybody – it’s good for me, it’s good for you. I think it’s needful.
If you visit The Path of Truth, and see the writings that we have there, you’ll find that there’s a fair bit of material where we talk about false teachers. I don’t know how we took that track, how I took that track, but one of the first writings that I ever did was on false teachers, false prophets, and that was back in 1980, I believe.
That paper has since been destroyed along with several others because it was at that time that I began to write and I knew that it lacked – the writing lacked. And I remember the Lord saying to me, “Victor, give that up, and I’ll give you something better.” I didn’t really want to give those writings up. Those were my first writings, and some of the things that we get for the first time, we prize.
But, I surrendered, I let those things go, and waited a few years, and lo and behold the Lord started to give me writings. And, if I can remember some of those writings, one was on The Church, which we have to this day, which we’ve edited considerably, several times over the years. One is So You Want to Walk With Jesus? and another one was Obedience. Those papers are on our site now. They’ve been revised, but you will see the essence of what the Lord gave me, and those came around 1984, and then progressively I had more writings.
But, what I wanted to say was that we’ve listed a lot of false teachers, by name, and we’ve had people writing in and saying, “you’re sooo full of hate.”
Lord, give me to tell the people here what they need to hear.
People write us and tell us that we’re so full of hate, that we’re behind a computer, “bold as brass”, because what, we’re safe in our offices, and not having to face people personally, directly? Which, isn’t the case. It certainly is the case for a lot of people that we’ve listed on the Internet on our Path of Truth site. But no, it’s got nothing to do with cowardice. It’s got nothing to do with anger or hatred – nothing like that at all.
I would love to meet some of those guys and there are many things about a lot of those fellows that I appreciate. I really do. I could name a few, which I will, maybe, as we go along here. I’m not going to take much of your time here. But I just wanted to say that I just don’t hold any enmity toward these people on a personal basis. None of us does, those that are at The Path of Truth that I’m aware of, but I’ll speak for myself. A lot of these teachers have some pretty good doctrine. They’ve got some good things to say. And truth, no matter where it comes from, no matter who it comes from, can change your life. You can receive the truth, it may not be a clean vessel that the truth comes by, but there is truth there.
When I was searching for the Lord, for example, and I hadn’t become a Christian yet, I was talking to my uncle. And I was getting into New Age stuff, Buddhism, that sort of thing. And I talked about Jesus Christ being on a par with Buddha and Krishna and Mohammed and several others. I didn’t know what I was talking about – I was searching. And my uncle gave me something, and he wasn’t a believer. He was a Catholic who had once been to seminary and dropped away and later returned to seminary and became a priest.
He spoke to me and he said, “Victor,” he said “There’s a big difference between Jesus Christ and other religious founders.” He said, “While other teachers would say ‘Come and follow me, I’ll show you the way, I’ll show you the truth.’ Jesus Christ came and said ‘I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, and no man can come unto the Father except by Me.’” So, that was one thing he mentioned.
Another thing he mentioned to differentiate between Jesus Christ and other teachers was that Jesus’ grave was empty. That has not been the case with any other man. They’re all there in their graves. Only Jesus Christ’s grave is empty. And, he pointed out for what it’s worth, that historical time was divided into BC and AD. Jesus had such a huge impact by His Life on the world.
Those things that my uncle pointed out had an impact on me. I didn’t notice that much then but those things did sink in. Now, he wasn’t a believer, and he greatly opposed my becoming a believer outside the Catholic Church. And of course, I would maintain that you can’t be a believer and remain in the Catholic Church. And I can tell you so much about that, and if you read my testimony you’ll read about that. The Lord made that very clear to me.
So, I just wanted to say that we have no enmity toward people on a personal basis, but what I’ve been given to do is to expose the falsehood. I’ve been given to show you, to show everyone, what is the difference between Jesus Christ and other leaders. And, what is the difference between true ministers, true servants of the Lord, and others. And there are so many teachers out there that are very influential, very charismatic, eloquent, popular, but that doesn’t make them servants of the Lord even though they take His Name, use His Name.
They say, “Well I’ve been called by God to preach.” “I’ve been this” and “I’ve been that” and “I’ve got my papers from this seminary” and “I’ve graduated from theological school and so here I am. I’m ordained as a minister.” And it can be Reverend so-and-so or even Pastor so-and-so or Father so-and-so. But none of those things prove or establish that you’re a man of God.
So, we’ve been taking a stand in the world and teaching people what is right and what is wrong, what is true and what is false, what is good and what is bad. The Lord did say, “Beware of false brethren; you’ll know them by their fruits.” Very true, of course, and we’ve pointed some of those things out. We’ve pointed out the kind of fruits you need to look for.
But I want everybody to know that we’re not in personal enmity with any of those people. But the Lord has a controversy with them. And I’m here to tell you that. But you’re going to have to know for yourself who is a man of God and who is not. You’re going to have to know that for yourself. You’re going to have to know that from the Lord. There is no one else who can know it from. You can’t know it from me; you can’t know it from any other man.
Again, it’s what I said previously in the first video, “It’s all about the Lord Jesus Christ,” and unless He gives you the understanding, unless you receive from Him, you really don’t understand very much. And when it comes to spiritual things, the things of the Kingdom of God, you don’t understand anything, none of us does. I wouldn’t have a thing from my own intellect, from my own being, in any way, of any value, unless the Lord gave it to me. That’s the way, that’s the way it is.
There’s a lot of intellectual faith – “faith” or “belief.” People understand certain doctrines. They seem to be able to put pieces together, and they may have a lot of knowledge, a lot of Biblical knowledge. But is it the Essence that they have, or is it a philosophy? Is all this in the mind or is it in the heart? We need it in our spirit.
Jesus said to the woman at the well, the Samaritan woman, He said: “The hour comes when those who worship God, worship the Father, will worship Him in spirit and in truth.” That is the kind of worship that the Father is looking for. He’s not looking for places of worship or systems of doctrine or systems of religion. That’s not what He’s after.
He’s after our worshipping Him in Spirit and in Truth, in the heart. He wants our hearts. He doesn’t want our sacrifices. He doesn’t want our goodness; He wants His goodness in us. That’s salvation. And so, a good portion of our job is to show you the difference between light and darkness. We share these things but you will have to know them from the Lord. You can’t put your trust in Victor Hafichuk. You can’t put your trust in any other man, or group of men.
So, as I post these videos I’m just going to ramble. I’m just going to share with you what comes to my mind, that’s coming from within me, from my heart, from my convictions that the Lord’s given me over the past 40..44 years. I have so much that I would like to talk about.
We’ll see what the Lord does for you, what He does for all of us. I’m thankful that you’re able to hear these things.
