Elon Musk is making waves again by announcing that the $44 billion dollar Twitter deal is on hold pending an investigation into whether the number of fake and spam not accounts exceed the company's estimate of 5%. Over 6 million of the 40 million Californian residents will be affected by this water limit announced in the last couple days. Southern Californian lawns will be somehow have to survive on only one watering a week. So, do you think lawn owners will use less or more water? Will their lawns survive? I don't have a lawn and I love no longer having to do the weekly mowing, but for those that do in this part of the country it's a huge investment. I mistakenly said the Quebec power outage was March of 2021, turns out that was the date of the article I was reading. The big power outage in Quebec happened in 1989, due to solar flares going on then. (Not to give away my age, but I remember that event happening like it was 2021!) Thanks to @Alaska Prepper for my first intro to making ghee! I'll never go back to regular butter! In addition to the more concentrated vitamins and removal of dairy sensitivities, ghee also has a higher flash point making it harder to burn when cooking with it. Huge difference in making Rice o Roni! It can also be kept on the counter. It's now my go-to for english muffins. Though Twitter's Board elected to swallow a poison pill to stave off Elon Musk's bid to buy Twitter and take it private, it's been announced they have had a change of heart. Whether it was due to pressure from shareholder's or threat from DeSantis to investigate if Twitter was upholding their requirements to look out for their shareholder's interests, is unknown. California's truck drivers protest diesel prices by stopping on I-5 highway near the 134 near the Griffith observatory and the LA Zoo. Beginning around 8am, it snarled rush hour traffic, though 2 lanes were kept open as of 11am, the 10 trucks were still stopped. I've not been able to find any updates. Google maps still shows red in the area, but that isn't unusual. California Bill SB 1390 is a direct attack on the Freedom of Speech guaranteed protected by the 1st Amendment of our Constitution. This bill, if passed, will have far reaching implications on the whole nation and even the world as the social media platforms targeted will not put these restrictive reporting measures into effect for just California, but will no doubt use this same infrastructure (whether or not legislated in other areas) to do what they wanted to do in any case: restrict speech they don't like.
