Funny baby orangutans hilariously slap each other
The Orangutan babies from the Twycross Zoo are a joy to watch. When they aren't trolling through the enclosure, they playfighting and today, a game of slapsies. Basuki is pulling his half-sister off the tree trunk. Kayan falls and does a roll. Then the fun of slapsies starts. Too funny!

Jambo The Hairless Chimp Snacks On Some Snow And Ice
Hairless Chimp Jambo (38) enjoys some snow and ice. A little glimpse of his mother Coco (56) enjoying a little cold snack as well.

Animals at Dudley Zoo in England enjoy rare UK snowfall
The UK Met Office said "there will be no more snow in the UK within decades due to global warming". Well, there is definitely some snow-cial distancing going on with the tiger, arctic fox and even the wallaby as they are really enjoying their winter wonderland at the Dudley Zoo in England.

Hairless Chimp Jambo Close Ups
A couple of close-ups of Jambo from different times. He's sitting on the ribbon showing his teeth. A few of his top teeth are missing, but still quite an impressive set. You may also notice that he has got an ear missing. He started to lose his ear in November 2018, when he had a fight and his mum Coco ripped it. Twycross zoo tried to glue it back on with skin glue, but unfortunately, as time went past he picked on it that much that he lost all of it. As he's just eaten I assume he's got something stuck in his teeth, rather than a tooth problem. It's not like he can just get a toothpick. :-)

Chimpanzee sees his reflection, makes hilarious faces for the camera
William from the Twycross Zoo is making faces in front of the window after seeing his reflection in the camera . He even picks his nose!
William is still one of the chimpanzees from the second group that is separated from the main group (Jambo's group). The zoo is still working slowly on the two groups to become one group.

Bonobo mother tries to get her baby back from prankster teen
Likemba is going after another youngster who snatched her baby from her. She tries to keep up but the teenagers are just too quick. Baby Lola hangs on tight to the teenager that balances on the top of the climbing frame, with another youngster following the two. It all looks quite hectic and scary for the little baby Lola (eleven months old). Poor mom even slips on the top log while in pursuit. She manages to hold on to the log and kept chasing the youngsters. Back down the bottom she finally caught up with the teenager and as gentle and timid as Likemba is, she got her baby back.

Orangutan baby adorably plays with an empty cardboard box
This is Basuki from the Twycross Zoo. Check it out as he plays with a cardboard box better than any cat could. Normally Basuki annoys his little sister Kayan, but today this box seems more interesting. In case if you are wondering why he is bald, well he was born with it, unlike his sister who has beautiful long hair.

Hairless Chimp Jambo
Going back in time with this video compilation of Jambo. Jambo has alopecia, but this hasn't stopped him from doing anything. In fact, he's the alpha male of the troop. He's still in his old enclosure in this video and still has both his ears. In the new videos here on Rumble you'll see that he lost one ear. It got ripped by his mother. They tried skin glue to keep it attached, but unfortunately, Jambo picked on it that much that he lost the whole ear. In the winter Jambo is mostly inside and they do sleep a lot, so I don't have a lot of new footage of him. I do however got some old clips that I haven't posted before and this is a compilation of those older clips.

Gorilla Lope In The Sun
Western lowland gorilla Lope is sitting at the hut when he gets up to bang on the wall. I think someone else is the opposite. He beats his chest and picks up a twig. He lies down in the wood wool, but Lope never keeps still and is soon after up again to beat his chest. In the end, he walks off upright.

Valentine's Day Love Is In The Air For These Kangaroos
Are you one of the people who thinks everyone likes hugs? Look how these kangaroos can't stop hugging! Probably all people like hugs, since hugs help people relax and feel better about themselves. On the other hand, this video shows that kangaroos also love hugs, especially when Valentine's Day is approaching, since these kangaroos know that they must show each other how much they love each other and that is why they cannot stop hugging. It seems that kangaroos also understand the importance of Valentine's Day, this happened at a zoo in Atherstone, England. These are the most adorable kangaroos in the world!
The kangaroo is an animal as wonderful as it is surprising. His ability to move by jumping instead of running is one of his best-known traits. However, these Australian marsupials present another series of features and curiosities worthy of review. The common name ‘kangaroo’ is generally used to describe this species. However, there are several subspecies that are classified according to features such as size, behavior and geographic location, to name a few. The term kangaroo designates the largest within the species, just as wallaby is used to refer to the smaller ones.
One of the curiosities that most attract attention to these animals is that they do not sweat. His way of adapting to heat is licking his legs. Then they rub their chest with them to lower their body temperature. The kangaroo has the possibility to turn its ears and listen sharply almost imperceptible noises to other animals. They can also survive without water for several weeks. For this, they extract from the plants that ingest the liquids and nutrients they need.
In some legal poppy plantations, kangaroos ingest these plants and can get high. This is evident when they move awkwardly, and they can be seen spinning or unable to maintain balance. His way of knowing is sniffing his nose and face. Then they can socialize by fighting, which usually happens among young kangaroos. However, some adult specimens may retain this habit.
Mating is another matter that is curious since males sniff the females' urine to recognize if they are ready for reproduction. The procession period can last up to three days. Frequently, the male sniffs and touches the female's tail with its legs, and it responds with sinuous movements. Some kangaroo species mate only when the climatic conditions are favorable for the young.
Females can stop the embryonic development of their young if the environmental conditions are not favorable. This happens frequently in seasons of severe droughts, so when conditions improve, pregnancy continues smoothly. Thus they provide greater chances of survival for their children. Fortunately, there are not too many natural predators for this species. Foxes, some snakes, eagles, and dingoes usually attack them, especially young or young individuals.
However, poaching by men to sell meat, and the destruction of their habitat, keeps the human race as the most dangerous species, not only for kangaroos but for the world in general.
Check out these two lovebirds at a zoo in Atherstone, England. They can't stop hugging each other!

Cheeky sea lion steals caretaker's bucket to play with it
The zoo is building a structure in the sea lion enclosure and they were trying to keep the sea lions away from the workers with some fish treat from the yellow bucket. The keeper sat on the edge of the water to feed them one fish after another as slowly as possible. They're quite used to hand feeding as they were once part of a sea lion show before they joined Dudley Zoo. One of the sea lion didn't agree with the slow feed and got to the bucket and pushed it into the water. The keeper couldn't really do anything at the time and decided to try to target practice and just throw the fish in the bucket. She was pretty good at hitting the target and the sealion had a whale of a time playing with the bucket and getting the fish out.

Disrespectful gorilla youngster repeatedly slaps his own grandmother
The lovable rascal Lope is not so lovable today. As grandma Biddy sits in her favorite spot with her wood wool, Lope approaches her and slaps her on her chin. Lope does take it too far sometimes. You just want grandma to get up, put him on her knees and give him a right slap on his backside. Ozala his mom wouldn't be so forgiving.
After Lope plays with the bottle, he has another run-up to poor Biddy and does the same thing again, but this time it does look more than just a slap. Biddy shows him her teeth and gives him a dirty look, but leaves it at that. Lope puts some wood wool on his head, does his usual knock on the hut and runs up to Ozala and Shufai.

Noisy Hairless Chimp Enclosure
As Jambo patrols from the upper log. Kibali makes his presence know down below with lots of noise and smashing against the window. He tried to challenge Jambo on numerous occasion for the leadership, but really he's all noise and no action and staff says he is just testing the waters as he's still quite young to take over. This is just before feeding time and things can get quite noisy.

Jambo The Hairless Chimp Gets A Helping Hand From His Mother
It's noisy again in the chimp enclosure and Jambo makes his present known. When chimps fight they go for the soft tissue first, that's why you see his mother Coco protecting her sons testicles. You never know what happens, better to be safe. :-) You see this behaviour as well in on of my other videos : https://youtu.be/-ADk_4dTXt8. Where a female is holding Mongo's ( Son of Jambo, who died in 2016) private parts.

Jambo The Hairless Chimp After The Fight
Filmed a week after Jambo's fight, his injuries are healing up. Jambo is still picking at it though, so hopefully he won't open them up again. He's been looked after by the females, including Genet his daughter who is following him and reassuring him with a pad on the back. Mum Coco turns up as well and reaches out her hand to Jambo. On the right site, the sweet chimp Rosie.
Jambo was born on the 9th June 1982.
His mum is Coco was born in 1965. Cocos offspring's are Jambo and his half-sister Charlotte. She was born on the 28 Sep 1978 and there is a male called Kip that is supposed to be there too, but records are pretty outdated and to be honest I'm not familiar with this name and don't think he's still at Twycross. I might be wrong. It is a big group and some chimps are still in the second group which I'm not that familiar with. Jambo has more siblings at Twycross from his father's side who are William born on the 30th June 1982, Holly she was born on the 27th December 1982 and Jomar he was born on the 28th December 1990.

Chimpanzee combs her hair and pretends to smoke
This is the beautiful chimpanzee Rosie from the Twycross Zoo. She is a real sweetheart and loves mirrors, sparkly diamante rings (she always perks up when someone shows her a ring that sparkles) and shoes. Show her your shoes and she is really fascinated. In this video she enjoys her reflection, combing herself with a stick. She then really does look like she pretends to smoke!
