Sierra has grown up with giant Newfoundland dogs since she was a baby and has learned how to communicate well with her canine best friends. Samson is very in tune with her and responds very well, even though she is a third of his weight. Newfoundland’s were partly bred to tend to children and Samson is a beautiful example of the breed.

Tiny Sierra has one of the greatest best friends a toddler could have. Sebastian the Newfoundland is a loyal guardian and playmate to her. She adores him and at the beginning of the video you can see how in tune she is with him as she asks him “What’s wrong, puppy?” In an apparent effort to cheer him up, Sierra decides to show him her secret toy stash. The two contently play together and all is well in the world.

Samson the Newfoundland starts strong in the popular toilet paper challenge, but hilariously loses steam as the height increases. It was still a great effort until he finally seems to give up and bulldoze the obstacle instead of jumping it. Too funny Samson!

Samson is the best Easter Egg crusher in all the land. Samson’s mom loves that he is just as excited as her human children about Easter and Easter treats. Everyone wins this Easter.

It’s Easter, and Samson the Newfoundland can’t wait to search out his Easter treat that his mom is hiding for him. He sits patiently and waits for mom to let him know he can look for it. Once he hears it’s time, he can barely contain his excitement. He runs from spit to spot sniffing everything out with frenzied joy. Does he ever find his treat? Watch and see!

Sierra was just about take the plunge in her cold pool when her giant Newfoundland came running towards her. He throws himself into the pool and splashes around like an excited puppy. Newfoundland’s are great water rescue dogs and he may have sensed Sierra was about to go under and sprang into action. When Samson is heading towards the pool, everyone better look out! Hilarious!

Samson is a big and powerful dog, but he’s terrified of the nail clippers. He makes it impossible for his mom to trim his nails. Mom found this new product that allows Samson to scratch a gigantic nail board and file his nails himself. Looks like a success!

Now that all the schools are closed, Sierra has all the time in the world to play with her best friend Samson. Tag is the Game of the day, and a small treat makes the game even more fun for Samson. What great memories they are making!

Everyday Samson walks Sierra out the front door and says good-bye in his own way. Mom loves to record the interaction between these two during this time. Samson usually tries to keep her from going by running in front of her and initiating play. Today, he looks Sierra right in the eyes and just freezes there. They both just pause for a moment and it’s just precious.

Mom’s got a snack and Samson is on it fast! He instantly goes into “beg face” mode and flashes his sad eyes at mom. It’s a sure thing right? Uh oh, mom says he’s already had a treat and it looks like his masterful look might not work today. Samson doesn’t like this one bit and throws a little tantrum. Oh Samson!

It’s night time, and for Samson that means one more zoomie session! It’s like a bear jumping on the bed, total chaos ensues. Luckily, this zoomie session was short lived and Samson was finally ready for sleep. Too funny!

Like most U.S. schools, 4th grader Sierra’s school closed down and the children now have to do their work at home. For Sierra this comes with a huge bonus - spending time with her giant puppy. Every school day, Samson the Newfoundland would walk her to the car and seem sad that she was leaving. Now, the two of them are snuggled up, doing work, and very happy. Such a sweet pair.

Samson the Newfoundland is so big that his head touches the roof of the family car. His best friend Sierra tries to come up with ways to make him most comfortable on his exciting car ride. What a pair!
