A real knife disarming by grabbing the blade during a robbery. I call this the "handle/pommel-blade" disarming. There are some effective techniques for this category disarms, but she did it instinctually. I love how she did it.
» I often mention the option of knife disarming by grabbing the blade as a last resort option. I made several videos showing this same option used during real altercations. People always laugh at this option but, yeah, keep denying real violence.
Grabbing the blade is also an option used in HEMA.

Store clerk wrestles knife from would-be robber, chases him away
Published: Feb. 14, 2023 at 9:45 AM CET|Updated: 10 hours ago
LOS ANGELES (KCAL/KCBS) - Police in Los Angeles are looking for a man accused of attempting to rob a female store clerk at knifepoint.
The store clerk, who did not want to be identified, says it was terrifying when the suspect tried to rob her Thursday while she was working at Amaya’s Mini Market in the Westlake neighborhood. She says the man demanded the money in the register and threatened to kill her if she said anything.
“It’s really scary. I think all people scare when they see knives or a gun or something like that,” the clerk said. “It’s super, super scared to me because I don’t see nothing when he put the nails in my tummy.”
The terrified woman screamed, even with the suspect’s knife pressed against her body. She then mustered up the courage and strength to take the weapon away from the would-be robber before chasing him out of the store.
The clerk, who has only been working at the store for a month, is shaken but will be OK. She suffered a few cuts on her hands, but it’s clear the suspect wasn’t expecting her brave act.
“I’m angry at him. I want to find him,” the clerk said.
Store owner Rene Amaya says he’d seen petty theft at the location before but nothing as violent as this. He says the robber had been a paying customer just a few minutes earlier but lingered when he saw another customer make a cash wire transfer.
“He wanted to get all the money because he knew it was a huge amount of money we were transferring,” Amaya said.
Amaya says the suspect left the store then came back about five minutes later with a big knife in a plastic bag. He says he’s glad his clerk is safe, calling it “the most important thing.”
Police don’t have any information on the suspect and are urging anyone with information to contact them.
As for the store clerk, she has a message for her attacker: “Don’t do this at any stores no more!”

KOCONews writes Authorities on Thursday released body and dash camera videos showing the moment a suspect pulled a gun on a Noble police officer and was then shot.
The shooting was reported Dec. 18 during a traffic stop in the 400 block of North Second Street in Noble, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
Police Sgt. Joshua Lesher pulled over 37-year-old Layland Ted Lewis, Jr. Lewis initially gave a false name, but the investigation revealed he was wanted in Cleveland County on suspicion of armed robbery, according to the OSBI.
As Lesher tried to properly identify Lewis, Lewis pulled a handgun from his jacket and pointed it at Lesher’s face, officials said
Lesher deflected Lewis’ handgun, drew his own firearm and fired, hitting Lewis three times. Lewis was taken to a local hospital where he was treated

Knife attack versus shopping cart | Environmental weapons | RVFK
CATEGORY: Knife attack | analysed Content | Explicit content 3 (scale 1-5) - Rated NC-17
*I had a deadline for this video. I hope without errors! Otherwise, let me know.
» If the attackers really wanted, they could easily disable/kill the victim. It was 3 against 1 + a big knife and stuck in a corner. But in THIS situation, using the cart resulted in an interrupted third stab… that was enough to break off the entire fight. Luck was an important contributor! They could hold the cart and stab him. We don't know. Perhaps the victim had some other tricks using this cart.
Such an environmental weapon is ideal for breaking/stopping the attacker's momentum while using it as a bridge to your next move. Shield weapons (bigger) are less effective against multiple opponents surrounding you.

Veteran takes down knife-wielding man in South Carolina Walmart
A veteran took down a knife-wielding man who was threatening employees and shoppers at a South Carolina Walmart last Wednesday, video of the incident shows.
The man was shouting and waving around a pocket knife inside the store in the city of Columbia, threatening to cut people, witnesses and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department told Fox News.
Demario Davis, a veteran who was shopping with his son, spotted the crazed man and waited for his moment to intervene, he told the outlet.
“I was at the checkout when my son noticed the guy walk in with the knife open,” he said. “He then proceeded to the service desk waving the knife at a few female employees.”
He said the man yelled “when the cops get here, I’m going to start cutting you all up.”
Davis said he watched another customer try to stop the man, but he tried to cut him in the face.
Witnesses say the man was waiving a pocket knife around.WIS
“That’s when my military training kicked in and I casually walked over to the object not only to take him down but also protect myself in case I failed, but with my great military training, I was able to neutralize the threat until law enforcement arrived,” Davis told Fox News.
Video shows Davis grabbing a stanchion and whacking the man over the head from behind. The man falls to the ground, dropping the knife and another customer stands over him and quickly scoops it up.

Attack at the Gare du Nord: the profile of the assailant
Suddenly, an assailant man runs into a traveler. This attack began at 6:42 a.m. at the entrance to the Gare du Nord. The perpetrator is hooded with a surgical mask over his face and dressed entirely in black. He first attacks a randomly selected victim.
He has in his hand a hallmark that he made himself. Witnesses have tried to intervene, but are also being attacked. The suspect then rushes into the station and the victim gets up, a miracle say investigators.
A few seconds later, the cameras spot the assailant again. He blindly attacks everyone he meets. The assailant tried to attack a first policeman who faces him. At 6:44 a.m., two other officers shot him three times and ended his criminal journey.
The Minister of the Interior congratulated the police for their responsiveness, without which the assailant could have caused many other victims. The profile of the suspect is very unclear, because he is known under twenty identities.
He may be 22 years old, Libyan and already known for theft and violence. In any case, he is under an obligation to leave the territory. For the time being, the terrorist trail seems to be ruled out. The motive for these assassination attempts remains a mystery.

Machete vs knife fight - multiple opponents | Pincer movement | Real Violence For Knowledge
CATEGORY: Weapon fight | Analyzed Content | Explicit content 4 (scale 1-5) - Rated NC-17
See a bladed weapon fight between 2 guys with a machete against one guy with a big knife. It looks like a sort of revenge assault or thing got heated with lightning speed. I've got no background information, so I'm just guessing.
1 » Pincer movement - Multiple opponents
Fighting multiple opponents = of course, different from fighting one man. Some points:
• They can encircle-pincer you.
• Using static shields like a car or something is difficult to maintain and only usable until the attackers go around the static shield in opposite directions. In this way, they've "taken" the static shield from the defender.
• They can attack you at the same time.
2 » See how the defender reacts to the pincer movement:
• Repositioning himself (2x)
• 300 tactics
• Bouncing between targets
3 » Fighting style
You see that the defender was forced to an aggressive-infight type of fighting style, otherwise he would probably have got slaughtered.

A quick analysis of a cashier foreseeing a robbery at gunpoint.
It must be a rough part of the world for the Cashier to draw just on suspicion.
This video was also shared on Reddit. I selected two comments. What is your opinion?
1 - One user praised the cashier's actions: "There was no confirmation the hooded man intended to rob the store. He was giving the benefit of the doubt. Once the threat was made, the cashier was ready."
2 - Another, however, said: "... no amount of money from a store that is insured is worth risking your life for. Most gas stations will tell people to just hand the money, and that is why they only keep a couple hundred in the till."
What do you think?

CCTV Shows Cashier Foreseeing Gunpoint Theft
BY : SHOLA LEE ON : 14 MAY 2022 15:12
The footage, shared on Reddit, shows a store clerk arming himself as he sees a suspicious person approaching the store.
Wearing a hoodie and a mask, the would-be thief says something to the clerk before handing him a bag to get money from the till.
They then put their gun on the counter facing the worker.
At first, it seems as though the clerk is going to comply, swiping his card to access the till.
However, the worker then grabs the gun he'd readied earlier and points it at the would-be thief.
As he does, the individual grabs the empty bag and walks off, with the cashier keeping his gun pointed at him.

Machete versus knife - battle of reach and ego | Real Violence For Knowledge
CATEGORY: Weapon fight | Analyzed Content | Explicit content 3 (scale 1-5) - Rated NC-17
See a stupid homogenous-asymmetrical weapon fight between two criminals which we can use to learn something about
reach.
In a weapon fight reach is an important factor.
In this video, I'll cover:
- Contact reach
- Total reach
I will superficial cover using a back or leading hand as the weapon hand.
Addition to the video:
Some pros and cons backhand:
BACKHAND:
» Weapon is out of reach
» You can use a shield
» If you use a shield, block-strike is often easier.
» With some strikes, you can generate more power, just like with boxing
FRONT HAND:
» More direct reach
» You can hold off your opponent from a greater distance. You have a weapon barrier.
» You can move your blade easier where there are no body parts in the way.
» Better left-side protection (if you're holding your weapon in the right hand)
» Less target area - you stand less square
Etc.

Rape Suspect Tries Jumping Out Of 6th Floor Window To Flee Cops, Bounces Off Glass
Blue Ash, OH – Police bodycam captured the moment a rape and kidnapping suspect ricocheted off the reinforced glass window of a hotel room on Sunday as he tried to flee from officers (video below).
The incident occurred on Nov. 21 at the Quality Hotel Conference Center Cincinnati Blue Ash in the 5900-block of Pfeiffer Road, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.
Charging documents said that the victim told police 20-year-old Onjre Damon George struck her multiples times and left visible bruises on her head and body.
She also told officers that George stopped her from calling 911 and also unplugged the phone in the hotel room, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Charging documents said the woman accused George of choking her until she became unconscious.
The woman told police that when she was finally able to leave the hotel room, George stayed close to her, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.
She told police she tried to catch the eye of another hotel guest to get help but eventually made eye contact with a hotel employee at the front desk, according to court documents.
The front desk clerk called the police and requested a welfare check after the couple garnered her attention, FOX News reported.
“She stated she noticed a male and female and that the female looked unwell,” according to the police report. “She stated she was discreetly able to ask the female if she was okay and the female used body language to indicate that something was wrong.”
The employee told police she had mouthed “do you need help?” at the woman and the women nodded yes, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.
When officers responded to the hotel, the first thing they did was separate the couple and interview the woman, FOX News reported.
George returned to the room while the victim was talking to the police, and then officers went to the hotel room to talk to him, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.
Bodycam video showed an officer asked George what happened between him and the woman and he denied that there had been a problem.
The officer turned George around as if to detain him and the suspect began to flex, the video showed.
“Don’t tense up man,” the officer told George.
That was when George broke free and made a dash for the hotel window, the video showed.
He took off at a sprint toward the back of the hotel room and the video showed the officer asked “where you going?” just as George hurled his body against the reinforced plate glass.
George screamed when his body ricocheted off the hotel room’s window, the video showed.
The officers could be heard chuckling on the bodycam.
“Look, I’m about to jump. I’m about to jump,” George threatened when the officer started to approach him with his Taser drawn, the video showed.
“Don’t Tase me, don’t Tase me,” the suspect begged in the bodycam before the audio was silenced.
The rest of the video appeared to show George complied with officers’ commands to get down on the floor, and then he was put into handcuffs and arrested.
George was charged with assault, kidnapping, and rape and booked into the Hamilton County Justice Center, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.
He was held at the facility in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
George was arraigned on Monday and scheduled to go before a grand jury on Dec. 1, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.
Blue Ash Police Chief Scott Noel told reporters the incident was not a random kidnapping.
Chief Noel said that the pair knew each other and had a relationship in the past, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.

Gas station robbery | Robber Locked in | Real Violence For Knowledge
CATEGORY: Robbery | Analyzed Content | Explicit content 2 (scale 1-5) - Rated NC-17
There are different professions that are more vulnerable to crime than others. Workers of a gas station, convenience or liquor store have this increased risk, especially for theft, angry customers, and robberies.
In different parts of the world, businesses have a legal duty to provide a safe workplace, so they need to be thoroughly prepared for the possibility of a robbery on their premises.
In this situation, you see several mistakes made by the clerk. The main two:
1) Having the security cage door-barrier open.
2) Lock the robber inside the store. Consider this:
2a) Do you want to test the bulletproof glass of your cage?
2b) What if they are customers inside the store?
2c) Robbers breaking and shooting through the door, possibly hitting people on the street.
2d) Demolish more stuff inside the store.
Sometimes we see CCTV footage with shows us a successful lock-in of a robber, but often with luck. The procedures + environment must fit such a strategy with no risk.
GLORIFIED BY PEOPLE AND THE NEWS
I see this "lock-in mistake" often glorified by the news, like in this news article. It's more stupid than heroic.
Quote Daily news:
" However, the video shows the quick-thinking clerk activating the magnetically-locked doors, making the suspect panic."
Also, I see this important advice to not lock in the robber insufficiently mentioned in professional anti-robbery sources.
LIST OF DANGEROUS OCCUPATIONS:
• Law Enforcement Officers
• Prison or Jail Corrections Officers
• Taxi Drivers
• Private Security Guards
• Bartenders
• Mental Health Professionals
• Gas Station Attendants
• Convenience or Liquor Store Clerks
• Mental Health Custodial Workers

An armed robber in Missouri stole cash from a gas station - but didn't stop there.
He also stole an entire bucket of Magnum condoms from the store in Raytown, Missouri.
CCTV footage from August 9 shows the man entering the store and forcing his way into the clerk's cage to take cash from the register.
The video shows the clerk sees him coming and tries to close the door, but the suspect grabs the handle and opens it, pulling the clerk to the ground.
The man then threatens the clerk at gunpoint and takes cash from the register.
The video shows the suspect leaving, carrying the cash in his pockets and holding a large bucket of the gold-packaged condoms.
However, the video shows the quick-thinking clerk activating the magnetically-locked doors, making the suspect panic.
He bangs on the window of the clerk cage and then fires multiple shots at the locked doors.
The video shows the glass crack but not shatter, so the man then throws his shoulder at the glass until it breaks. He runs out the door, still with his newly stolen condoms.
Police are currently trying to identify and find the man.

VIDEO | Thief received a forceful blow to the head with a roller that left him crazy
THE CRIMINAL, WHO WAS ACCOMPANIED, RECEIVED A BRUTAL BLOW TO THE HEAD WHILE ASSAULTING CUSTOMERS AND EMPLOYEES OF A PIZZERIA.
October 3, 2021
The reaction to a robbery of a worker from a pizzeria located in Jardim América, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has gone viral on social networks due to the forceful blow to the criminal who was robbing him last Thursday, September 30.
The employee used a rolling pin to mold the dough with which they make pizzas to deliver a forceful blow to the head of the criminal and managed to take away the firearm with which he was intimidating him while robbing him.
In a video that was recorded by the security camera of the premises, it is observed that after the aggression against the antisocial, the two men began to struggle and it originated in a hand-to-hand fight that made the criminal flee.
According to information shared by various media in that country, the thief arrived in the company of an accomplice with whom they began to steal mobile phones from the diners, then one of them goes to the kitchen and intimidates the other workers.
The second assailant remains on the outskirts of the establishment, sits at one of the tables pretending that he is just another customer so as not to arouse suspicion and intimidates customers into staying in their place with a firearm.
The robber who was inside the kitchen of the establishment begins to approach one of the employees, who takes advantage of the fact that he is careless, takes a rolling pin and hits the criminal hard on the head, who drops the weapon.
The two fight hand-to-hand and the clerk manages to take the weapon. The cook tries to shoot but does not seem to know how to use the weapon. The aggressor tries to escape and that is when the other employees join the fight.
While there is confusion in the kitchen, the other assailant, who was outside, forces the diners to get up from their chairs and when he sees that his partner is being reduced he begins to shoot in the middle of the pizzeria and then runs away.
A regional media adds that he tried to speak with the owner of the establishment but he preferred not to comment on what happened. However, he reported that the employees are doing well and that the business is operating normally.

2 robberies + 2 reactions | clerk strikes robber with pizza roller | Real Violence For Knowledge
CATEGORY: Robbery | Analyzed Content | Explicit content 3 (scale 1-5) - Rated NC-17
See two robberies and two different reactions.
The second robbery shows a hell of a reaction by fast decision-making. He hits the robber with a pizza roller.
I don’t earn any money with these videos, the only thing I ask is some feedback about the new style of editing. I need this new approach with more talking and face showing because of the structural deletion of my videos-channels. I think that without a face or speech, the algorithm interpreted the videos as violent without context. That is my theorem.
Some points:
- Opportunities come and go. If you need one, you need to make a decision fast.
- Mother nature is not stupid, but in certain situations, you need to control these automatic responses. Break the freeze, control your anger, etc.
- Overall, cooperation is the best thing to do during a robbery because most of the robbers are after your money, not your life. Reacting the wrong way will escalate the situation for you, coworkers or customers. There are always exceptions, and you need to see these specific signals because then it's important to act!
So I hope you like the video, and you can learn something from it. Have a great Halloween.

Marine disarms a gun during a robbery | Real Violence For Knowledge
CATEGORY: Robbery | Analyzed Content | Explicit content 2 (scale 1-5) - Rated NC-17
“A good solution applied with vigor now is better than a perfect solution ten minutes later.”
When asked how he was able to control the situation, the customer reportedly told deputies, 'The Marine Corps taught me not to [mess] around.
See a mariner act immediately when confronted with a robber and disarm his gun in second…
But you will see that action was risky…the robber pulled back and I think these robbers were rookies.
-» A LITTLE ANALYSIS:
Think with me…
I know as a former red-beret that fast-thinking, decision-making, and action = are important. This is instead of making the perfect analytical decision --> which = difficult in a fast-escalating situation.
Unfortunately, most situations Marines encounter do not allow for any analysis at all. While the analytical approach has its strengths, it also has its weaknesses.
A soldier doesn’t want to fall victim to “paralysis by analysis”.
The problem for Marines is that analytical decision-making is neither practical nor useful in the high-stress situations encountered while on patrol: whether to shoot or not in a matter of milliseconds. A mariner = trained to deal with chaos.
Furthermore, even deliberate decision-making is not purely analytical in every way; it often uses intuition and heuristics.
“What matters most for a soldier is not generating the best possible plan but achieving the best possible result, good enough solutions quickly, then aggressively carrying out those solutions. The goal is to act violently and quickly to drive the tempo of battle and cause the enemy to react.”
That is what you saw the mariner doing in this situation, just as he is trained.
-» SIDE NOTE:
In the original news article, the following was stated:
" The customer (right) quickly pulled out his left arm to disarm the robbery suspect
The suspect dressed in black (left) didn't react quickly enough to the customer's combat technique, which he learned while serving in the Marines."
This is of course not a completely legit combat technique…this is quick decision-making, overwhelming the enemy and adapting certain technical elements to the situation. That's something different.
Just to point out the nonsense new article can produce by talking about things they don't understand.

This is the moment a former Marine Corps veteran snatched a gun from the hands of robber who burst into a gas station demanding money.
The Marine was chatting to the clerk at the Chevron station near I-8 and Fortuna Road, Arizona on Wednesday, at around 4.30 a.m. when two men dressed in black entered the store.
Surveillance footage shows the former military man, who has not been named, reacting with lightning speed when one of them men raises his and gun and pointed the gun at the cashier.
Within eight seconds, the hero grabs the arm of the robber and snatches the gun out of his hand, sending his accomplice fleeing.
'Upon arrival, deputies learned of suspects entering the Chevron, one of them armed with a handgun. The armed suspect walked next to a store customer while pointing the weapon toward the cashier when the customer acted immediately and disarmed him,' read a portion of the statement.
The customer then detained the suspect on the ground before Yuma County Sheriff's deputies arrive, officials said.
The suspect with the handgun is a minor and was booked into the Yuma County Juvenile Justice Center for a count of armed robbery and a count of aggravated assault.
His accomplice, and another suspect who stayed outside at the door, fled the area and remain on the loose, according to local officials.
The customer who fought the robbers was later contacted and explained that he was a former U.S. Marine and thanked his training for helping him alienate the situation.
'When Deputies contacted the customer, who previously served in the United States Marine Corps, and asked how he was able to take control of the situation, he stated, 'The Marine Corp taught me not to [mess] around,' read a portion of the statement.
No injuries and deaths were reported and an investigation on the matter is ongoing.
Anyone with information regarding this case, please contact the Yuma County Sheriff's Office at 928-783-4427 or 78-CRIME to remain anonymous.

Pre-emptive striking vs deployment scissors in the metro | Real Violence For Knowledge

A fast escalating situation in the metro. One man is visibly deploying a sharp tool (looks like a pair of scissors) and his opponent reacts immediately by
-Repositioning himself
-Pinning the weapon hand
-Pre-emptive strikes
The guy timed his actions as well as he stopped afterward. Really love his proportional use of violence
Preemptive strike/action:
A preemptive strike/action is a strike/action that is commenced in an attempt to repel or defeat a perceived imminent offensive. To gain a strategic/tactic advantage.

The classic "Unga Bunga Homo Sapiens" fight starts after a 3sec stylistic intro.

VIDEO | Kung Fu vs. Taekwondo bare-knuckle street fight ends in surprising fashion
Combat battles that pit a certain style against another opposing style always make for an interesting matchup. This is what made the UFC in its early days so interesting.
Here, we take a look at this crazy bare knuckle street fight competition between a Kung Fu and a Taekwondo practitioner.
The two start off with the Taekwondo fighter throwing a few kicks and then the two exchange in a wild flurry of punches. They eventually tie up and the Kung Fu fighter lands a nice trip on the Taekwondo fighter taking the fight to the ground. The Kung Fu fighter surprisingly ends up in side control and finishes the fight with some classic ground and pound strikes that resemble what we see quite often in the UFC.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro police are looking for a gunman after a doorbell camera captured video of an armed robbery in Nashville.
The robbery happened before 11 p.m. Tuesday on Creekbend Drive near the Bellshire community. In the chilling video obtained by NewsChannel 5, a man can be seen trying to get inside his of home when a suspect points a gun to his head.
The victim in the video doesn't own the home. The video was submitted by his landlord who is working with detectives to help identify the suspect.
Investigators said at this point, they do not have any leads on the suspect. A woman, who chose not to reveal her identity, said the victim is her brother-in-law. She was inside the home at the time with her four young children and husband during the robbery. She remembered hearing him pressing the code.
"My husband asked me to check the door and I as go to open it, the code was being entered again and at that moment was when he started banging," she recalled. "It's very upsetting that something like this would happen here."
The neighborhood where the gunman struck has several homes with doorbell cameras. Neighbors described it as normally quiet but still not immune to crimes.
"When we do have issues, it's never our own neighbors. It's neighbors from outside," neighbor Latisha Granberry told NewsChannel 5. "It makes me sad that you can't go in and out of your home without being cautious or thinking someone is going to hurt you."

Violent and sadistic robbers | cooperative but still stabbed | Real Violence For Knowledge
CATEGORY: Robbery | Analyzed Content | Explicit content 4 (scale 1-5) - Rated NC-17
Not every robber is the same.
Some robbers seem more interested in violence than profit. These offenders often use far greater force than is necessary. This is one of the robberies where being cooperative is not enough.
* Important = to read/understand the situation and the behavior of the robbers correctly. You need to know as soon as possible what you're dealing with. This makes the difference between being fully cooperative or taking defensive actions on time.
