RvAmericanDream - Buffalo Close Encounter Custer State Park
Surprises abound at Custer State Park in South Dakota!! We have been looking for the buffalo for two weeks and finally they showed up and took over. The rules are clear, do not approach the buffalo, but if the buffalo are all over the road and the ranger is asking you to drive through them then getting close is expected. We took some great video. And my daughter learned a little about holding the phone in landscape mode when recording. Enjoy!! We have more great videos on the way!!

How to Change a Flat Tire on a Dual Axel Travel Trailer
Changing an Rv travel Trailer tire can be a bit nerve racking depending on where you blow the tire. I will show an easy way to change it without a jack. It is easier to change the tire with two people. One driving the car and one changing the tire. Communication is important. This video took about 10 minutes to record. Not quite pit crew time but I am happy with it. We have changed 3 tires total on the RV travel trailer over the 25,000 miles we have towed across the country. Thankfully we have always had a nice shoulder to pull over on.

The difference in weather we experience across the country is incredible. Traveling across 45 states in 4 years we have seen it all. The storms in North Dakota present will an amazing light show. Medora, North Dakota near the Theodore Roosevelt National Forest is an amazing place to spend some time in the summer. Last night I was able to catch an incoming storm and the lightning was incredible.

Ep. 16 Aurora Around America - Elite Cable Park
We stopped at the Cabana Club RV Resort and right next-door is the Elite Cable Park.
https://www.elitecablepark.com
"A CABLE PARK OPERATION THAT DELIVERS CUSTOMERS AN ACTIVE, WATERSPORTS LIFESTYLE THAT IS SAFE, HEALTHY, FAMILY FRIENDLY, AND ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS. ELITE CABLE PARK, IS A PART OF THE AKTION PARKS FAMILY THAT INCLUDES ORLANDO WATERSPORTS COMPLEX AND MIAMI WATERSPORTS COMPLEX."
The kids had never been wakeboarding and this was a great opportunity to give it a try. The Elite Cable Park employees were fantastic and so were all the people hanging out on the dock. It was a great environment to try something new.

EP7 Aurora Around America Bear Days of Summer
August 2020 - Our third week of the Smoky Mountains brought some new adventures and we revisited previous failures. We discuss two great hikes Rhododendron and Chimney Tops. The kids swim in a rapid and have a blast. Aurora talks about keeping in touch with friends on the road and her letter writing clubs. We play around with our Gopro8 and have some fun in the pool. Finally there is a bear in the campground, and that provided some midday entertainment.

EP 4 Aurora Around America Hiking Horses Hot Springs, Oh My!! July 2020
July 19th 2020 On week 4 of Aurora Around America we discuss Hiking, Horses and Hot Springs. On our way east from TX to TN we stopped in Hot Springs, AR. We had never been, it was a good distance to break up the 1000 mile drive and there is a Chicago connection. We hoped it wasn't shut down because of COVID; It was more than we liked but less than it could have been.
We had a birthday to celebrate, we were anxious to hike the mountains and happy to be back on the road and traveling again.

2020 March Friday the 13 - Aurora Around America Ep 1
2020, March 13, We started a weekly travel blog from our daughter's perspective called Aurora Around America. This was our first episode. It was the first week of Covid. We didn't know what was going to happen. We had heard many Fulltime RV family's had been stranded as campgrounds closed around the country. We were in TX and couldn't head home so we buckled down. Kinda funny looking back now at this video. (December 2020) So much for 15 day to slow the spread.

July 4, 2020 Ep 3 Aurora Around America Independence Day Closed
We spent Independence Day 2020 in Texas, unfortunately it wasn't much of a celebration. We did find a fantastic village in Texas, Homestead Village in Waco. We cancelled all of our Texas plans and headed east into Arkansas, Hot Springs Arkansas. We have already started building memories in AR but we still have to report on Lake Whitney, Texas.

Fall 2020 Blue Ridge Parkway, Mt Mitchell, Drive RvAmericanDream
Fall 2020 we took a drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway. Finally drove past Craggy Gardens, we always stop and hike it, and ended up at Mount Mitchell. What a drive! Beautiful colors, great overlooks, amazing blue sky, it was the perfect day. This is about 2 hours of GoPro 8 video edited down to 5 minutes. It was tough to choose. Enjoy!!
We also hiked Mount Mitchell and that will be in another video soon!!
