Why 70% of Wealthy Families Lose Their Wealth
How come it's always - one generation builds an empire, the second just about keeps it and the third one throws it away?
At least 70% of wealthy families will lose all their wealth by the next generation, with 90% losing it the generation after that. Sustaining substantial wealth takes a lot of financial savviness, hard work, competence and motivation but most rich parents don’t pass any of these down to their heirs.
Why?
Now you might think you already know the answer, oh the fortune gets split up amongst so many people that it’s spread so thin. But that’s not entirely true…
What’s more is that the real reason for the fall of these financial empires can help us understand money, how it works and how to effectively pass it down through the generations.

What Retirement Actually Looks Like For Most People
Reports show that less than 30% of US workers don't have the means to retire. And the majority of the people left are on track to have a comfortable retirement. What’s worse is that is that most younger generations will very likely have to work without ever retiring.
You probably think that you’re different, right? I might have some bad news for you.
Housing, the stock market and a series of broader economic conditions might threaten your assumptions about when, how and if you’re going to retire.

Why BuzzFeed Died in The Most Satisfying Way
Buzzfeed peaked in August 2015 with 377 million views per month but the channel barely gets 30 million views a month these days most of which comes from older more popular uploads. Over the years Buzzfeed has also had many layoffs, leadership issues and company-wide pay-cuts.
Ryan and Shane from Buzzfeed Unsolved seemed to keep Buzzfeed afloat for a while but with them gone (along with many other well loved stars like the Try Guys, Safiya Nygaard, The Kitchen & Jorn Show, Megan Boykoff, Quinta Brunson, Vida Armonia, Kelsey Impicciche, Vlogbrothers etc.) the platform doesn’t seem to have anything going for it anymore.
All of this was confirmed by an epically bad stock market IPO debut, which saw BuzzFeed lose almost all its share value on its first day on the market.
This is, The Incredibly Sad yet Satisfying Death of Buzzfeed.
