In this video, I fix the back bucket that I use with my 1949 Ford 8N Tractor. I also tell the story of how I acquired this Dearborn 19-6 back bucket. Making the conversion on this bucket was a pretty cool experience. The Ford N series tractors are one the greatest tractors for the small farm or homestead. In this video, I recently learned of a pretty incredible story about a farm accident my Great Grandfather had back in 1946. I somehow managed to get his leg caught in the PTO of the tractor while he was out picking corn. That resulted in a broken foot and leg. There was articles in the local paper about it, and I even have a photo of him on crutches after the accident. Enjoy! In this video, What a dumb choice we made with these Big Red Broilers. The initial thought was to have a continuous flock of Buff Orpingtons. When they were not available we choose these Big Red Broilers. Not exactly a flock creating breed, they are perfect for quick harvest in 12 short weeks however. Enjoy!
