Study 28 Revelation 18:1-24
We see the fall of the one world government and economic system, Babylon the great.
This is relevant to us today as we see the rise of global compliance, personal bank accounts of those resisting being frozen, emergency acts against those that disagree with the leaders.
I believe we are not far from the church being removed and evil running unchecked.
We are not far away from microchip implants.

Study 17 Isaiah 11:1-10 With Richard
The law was meant to be temporary and not God's ideal.
The thought was to meet His chosen people where they were and bring them out of their brutality and idolatry.
God's ideal was embodied in the life of Jusus the Messiah, He was the example for us to follow on that road.
We see in this chapter that God's ideal plan will be realized.

Study 18 Isaiah 11:11-12:6 With Richard
God will deliver Israel from their enemies again just as He did when they left Egypt. They have ignored God's law and violated the terms of His conditional promise, but He will take down every obstacle that stands in their way when He brings them back. Then they will rejoice just as they did while crossing the Red Sea in Exodus.

"Isaiah a servant of God", that should be our goal as well, how great would it be for God to refer to you as His servant?

Because of Tyre's pride they will be brought down.
They made the mistake of thinking their success was of their own making.
They thought because of their geographic location that they were untouchable.

Sennacherib deals treacherously with Hezekiah.
Isaiah prays for God to be gracious and deliver them even though most of Jerusalem was worshipping Him out of habit and obligation rather than love.
The Assyrians will be dealt with as they deal with others.
This is also a reflection of how the end times events will occur when the earth is judged.

Hezekiah finally turns to God for help as the Assyrians mock and blaspheme God, for which they will pay a heavy price. 185,000 soldiers will be killed in one night by The Angel of the Lord.

Study 51 Isaiah 37:21-38 With Richard
Hezekiah humbles himself before God and is rewarded, Sennacherib exalts himself and is humbled by God.
Sennacherib failed to realize that he was merely a tool for God to use and will pay a significant price for his pride.
Those who would be leaders had better take note of Sennacherib's mistake.
God gives a sign that will last 3 years so that Jerusalem remembers that it was Him who delivered them.

Babylon's idolatry led to self-deification which God will not tolerate.
When God is excluded, people can justify the dehumanization of groups they don't like instead of seeing that we are all created in His image.
Babylon's brutality earned them this judgment.
