Grouper and Hogfish season just opened up for us on the East coast of Florida, so I went out spearfishing with some friends to see if I could find any to bring back home to my family and friends! This video is from a pre-quarantine trip I took with some friends to Bimini. Not gonna lie, we spent more time drinking and dancing then we did spearfishing, but we had an amazing time and were still able to get enough fish and lobster to feed ourselves everyday. On our way back to Florida when we were in the Gulf Stream, we saw a dorsal fin and decided to jump in the water. It turned out to be a False Killer Whale (confirmed by whale expert)! I've been stuck at home social distancing so I decided to share one of my favorite sushi recipes! You can find the products I used below. Sushi Rice - Follow instructions on bag to cook rice (I use a rice cooker). When the rice is ready, spread it on a cookie sheet and sprinkle with seasoning vinegar. Mix and fan the rice to cool it and incorporate the vinegar in all the rice. Let cool. Spearfishing Deep SHIPWRECKS for Yellow Jack & Barracuda Here in Miami, fishing has been listed as an essential activity during the COVID quarantine, so I'm very lucky to still be hunting for my own food! @Judah Clark invited me to check his crab traps for Stone Crabs in Miami Beach, FL! It was the first time I've ever handled stone crabs, so I had no idea how strong they are! It was a super fun day and a great learning experience! Watch until the end for a great tip on how to safely and properly remove a crab claw by piercing the crab's joint with a sharp object. We weren't aware of this method before but it's much safer for the crab, so that's how I'll be removing the claws from now on! Hope you enjoy this video!
