Today's modern society has largely forgotten the Sabbath, replacing it with busyness and productivity, often resulting in emotional exhaustion and spiritual malnourishment. The Sabbath rest is to be a time to delight in God, find peace, and cultivate meaningful relationships. And while we are no longer bound to the law, the old covenant, the heart behind Sabbath observance remains relevant. On our Sabbath we need to find joy in the Lord, prioritize rest, and allow the Sabbath to lead to a deeper connection with God and a foretaste of eternity.

Who are you judging?

The church is meant to be a model home for the Kingdom of God in the world and in the future. What kind of church best reflects God an effectively draws people to Christianity? It is not size, but faithfulness that matters. Our rituals, worship, and religious practices should flow from a transformed heart and manifest in acts of kindness and service to others. Our goal as Christians should be to shine as a light in the darkness, guiding and impacting lives, rebuilding what is broken, and being true representatives of God's kingdom on Earth.

God shows His grace by delivering the righteous from the evil of this world. But there is another trend among God's people—spiritual idolatry. The Israelites were tempted to mix their faith with pagan practices and today we have modern-day syncretism within the Church. The worship of false gods and indulgence in sinful practices bring no lasting satisfaction or peace. God, who is patient and merciful, dwells with those who have a contrite and humble heart. Through Christ, God removes the obstacles of sin, offering healing and peace to those who repent and turn to Him. In contrast, the wicked remain restless, seeking fulfillment in worldly desires without finding true peace. We must come to Christ, find rest for the soul, and share this peace with a restless world.
