Over the years, it's been really great serving my Crafty community. I feel like I've met a lot of wonderful people and built many relationships with crafters from all over. To be honest, quitting was never my goal and I have a lot more juice in me to keep things going. I got commissioned to make a water bottle sling because she loved mine SO much. I decided to make a sample but it ended up fitting my grandma's bottle instead 😅 The original pattern is for a 64 oz jug so I modified that and only did 3 rows for the base. There are 8 standard yarn weights you should know about when taking on either knitting or crochet! 0 - Lace 1 - Super Fine 2 - Fine 3 - DK 4 - Medium 5 - Bulky 6 - Extra Bulky 7 - Jumbo When you're just starting out, I recommend a 4 weight acrylic because it's easier to see and are less expensive. The Hold Me Tight shawl was inspired by music which was inspired by the Mexican holiday, Día de Muertos. I've always had an appreciation for the vividness of other cultures and when I saw this colorway, I was instantly reminded of this occasion. I had a very diverse upbringing and on a couple of occasions, I was in large Hispanic communities which gave me a fascination with the culture. This shawl has a wing span of ~43". It is a weighty accessory that will be perfect for this holiday season which runs from October 31st - November 2nd.
