Hike Camp Climb

In this video I go hot tent camping in a blizzard! This was my first time hot tent camping in a blizzard like this. The weather forecast called for 12 inches (30 cm) of snow and wind gusts of 40-50 mph (64-80 kph). I hiked through knee deep snow for two miles (3.2 km) to reach my camp. It took nearly 3 hours with the bad weather! When I arrived at the lake I found it was frozen over and the wind was absolutely howling! I set up my new Ankhiale Outdoors Zeta 1 hot tent and hunkered down for the night. The wind and snow only got worse through the night and into the morning. This was an incredibly windy trip and I'm glad my hot tent kept me safe! In this video I go hot tent camping in snow on a lake shore. I'm back at my favorite lake to hot tent camp with a little snow on the ground. I hope you like the commentary on this video! It did not snow while I was there but it was cold and windy! I tried out some new sleep gear and even attempted to roast my own coffee beans. It was not a huge success but I learned some good lessons. Even though it did not snow on this trip I still had a lot of fun and the scenery was beautiful as usual! Welcome to my first fall hot tent camping video of 2023! I planned this hot tent camping trip around a snow storm in early November. It poured rain the entire hike up to the lake but then stopped once I set up camp. Later that afternoon the rain came back with a vengeance and by evening it began snowing! Welcome to the first installment of HCC on the PCT! My son and I left two weeks ago to hike the Pacific Crest Trail from the southern border of Oregon to the northern border of Washington. So far we have hiked over 100 miles of trail and have been having a great time! I have been filming everyday and I completed part 1 of the series on July 4th. I would have uploaded sooner but a strong wi-fi signal is hard to find out here on the trail! In this video I go hot tent camping in snow and rain! I was shocked to run into this snow shower in the middle of May. This will probably be the last hot tent camping trip I'll have this spring so I'm glad I got some fresh powder! Temperatures only dropped to around 32°F (0°C) at the lowest but the constant moisture made it a chilly trip.
