Originally released in 2014, after years of development, the FRX was conceived as a surface mounted, Floyd Rose bridge that could be retro-fitted to a guitar that never had one. Here's my guitar for the Thomann DIY Kit Challenge 2022, I took one of their SG style guitar kits and build it.... with a few extra modifications! Aluminum plate, lots of screws and bolts, and a solid fuel rocket! Let's see how this works! The Firefly 338 semi hollow body guitars are still only $159, which is crazy considering how much other guitar prices have gone up recently. I picked up a new emerald green model recently. It's as great as the ones I bought 2-3 years ago. For a set-neck, humbucker equipped semi-hollow body guitar, under $200, this is about as good as you get! I just hope they last. Gus G, guitarist of Firewind and Ozzy Osbourne, used a crazy harmonic picking technique that I've never seen before! How did I miss this? It's kind of like a "rolling harmonic" but with palm muting. Who knew about all 3 of the techniques that I demonstrate in this video?
