Blavatsky described the Polarian Epoch as being the result of the Spiritual Hierarchies beaming their forces downwards into our developing plane. This beaming downwards of higher spiritual beings is also what creates the evolutionary impulse on the planet, and in humanity.

Rudolf Steiner spoke about the Polarian Epoch and humanity's deep past in his book Cosmic Memory. He relates the Polarian stage of development to that of an astral seed-germ. Human beings are the 10th hierarchy of angel, or, we are a direct embodiment of the Spiritual Hierarchies. What does this mean? It means that our human form has the capacity to ascend back into the higher spiritual realms from which we once originated. In the New Age this is known as the 'ascension process' and is associated with various mental, emotional and physical processes. In Christian esoterica this principal is present in the Mystery of Resurrection. And, in the Eastern Traditions, the ascension is seen as getting off of the wheel of saṃsāra, or the wheel of material incarnation. All of these different variations whether they be New Age, Western, or Eastern are ultimately referring to the same phenomenon: human beings taking their place as the 10th hierarchy in the hierarchy of angels. Thus, our work during this epoch is to be good custodians of our form - of our body, so that we may completely spiritualize out of this plane and into a higher form.

The 7 Epochs of the Earth Are: The Polarian The Hyperborean The Lemurian The Atlantean The Post-Atlanean (Our Current Epoch) And, 2 Future Epochs that are unnamed. Each planetary epoch is a different level of consciousness and expression of humanity. The human form, or the human body, changes from epoch to epoch. During the first three epochs the body was materializing, and, during the last three our body is beginning it's spiritualization back into an astral form. The middle epoch represents the beginning of our individuality which leads allows for the spiritualization of our form to take place.

The Life Wave is the evolutionary path of a planet and the human beings on it. It is a physical and spiritual process of metamorphosis where human beings and their planet move through various states of density and consciousness in order to achieve mastery.

The seven epochs of the earth can be seen as different periods of spiritual initiation for humanity. This is because with each progressive epoch we are challenged to take on the consciousness of the new epoch while releasing the (now invalid) aspects of the old one. #anthroposophy #theosophy

The Earth's Epochs (Lost Civilizations) Many indigenous cultures observe a different account of history than the main stream. They speak about civilizations much older than any mainstream academic journal will acknowledge. The Hopi, for example, speak about three prior epochs of humanity, one, the last one, is described as the sinking of a large island. This description of prior epochs (or civilizations) is also a tenet in various Mystery Traditions including #Theosophy, #Anthroposophy, and the Eastern Traditions. It is only our modern 'scientific' era that discounts these prior conditions of the earth. The issue in recognizing these prior conditions is likely due to the reality that the density of the earth shifts over such long periods of time. This means that someone only recognizing the material level of existence cannot actually perceive/understand anything beyond it. This inner denial of the earths oscillation in density makes it impossible for them to actually perceive the deep history of the earth properly. The Two Worlds In the Hopi tradition when the earth reaches the end of a cycle it splits into two streams, or two worlds. One is regressive & defined by the misuse of science & technology, while the other is progressive & defined by returning to the earth and the development of Spirituality. This is parallel to the esoteric concept of the splitting of the earth into two different evolutionary streams. In Anthroposophy the devolutionary stream eventually leads to the 8th sphere, while the evolutionary stream leads to a higher expression of the earth called New Jupiter. In the Theosophical tradition we would see this planetary splitting as the planet moving forward in its lifewave and as a natural process of the planets evolution through its unique planetary scheme. In the New Age, this concept is also present. The lower earth is called the "3d earth" and the higher earth is called the "5d earth". These are simply different ways of expressing the same core esoteric concept.
