I have to apologize on this video. I read the dialogue way too fast. Gotta love the blasé faire attitude of the moon bunnies at the world ending. Anyone want a carrot? I think the bunnies are trying to drug us.

As we await with great anticipation of the return of Hildibrand, inspector extraordinaire, I thought to replay these quests for a reminder of the antics, hilarity, and storyline that has come before. I am fairly new at using a microphone to record so bare with my mistakes. In the next video I am hoping to have found a better balance in volume. Though I have to admit it was fun to read the story aloud. If you like this video please let me know leave a comment, a thumbs up. This quest is not only amusing with Thancred's reactions to the cute moon bunnies but it has some tidbits of information that if I remember right we should know from Shadowbringers but still it feels now more like foreshadowing I once again did not pick up on.

Ok this quest...the foreshadowing of what was to come. I did not see it coming. Did anyone? I can't believe there were scraps of hints. The moon bunnies are of course adorable and Thancred's reaction was funny. The look on his face. Loved it.

I love learning bits of lore. I wish they had given more. I really want to do this story all over again.

And so ends the level 82-83 quests. Onto level 84-85! 20 quests for this section. I really liked this quest and the fight. Even with the foreshadowing I didn't see it happening the way it did. So many twists in this expansion and our first real look at Hythlodaeus!! Of course at this point I had no idea what was coming. I cannot wait to post that section of quests. In Greek his name means speaker of nonsense. So we have Hades who just so happens to be able to pluck souls from the lifestream, Hythlodaeus, Zodiark who is also a Greek reference. I see a theme.

I love that we get to talk to the ancients and see Hythlodaeus. It was a sad and yet heartwarming quest. I am glad we didn't have to fight those that sacrificed their lives so that others could live.

A few more of my videos were corrupted when I tried to move them. I am not sure what happened so for right now I am skipping over Gateway of the Gods and The Tower of Babil. This quest is all story.

1:35-This quest jumps almost immediately into the cutscene. You know I don't mind our characters getting so easily kidnapped. I mean Ascian portals are great for that. I do not want an invincible character. I prefer one who depends on their comrades as much as they depend on her. She protects them and they protect her. Basically they have each others backs. 24:45-DUTY But that duty...I don't know if it was because I had trouble with it and failed it, because I didn't completely understand where to go and what the objectives were. I went in blind to keep any potential spoilers at bay and I didn't read the event text right away so even on easy mode I made quite a few mistakes. I was very frustrated by the end of this. My editing is a little rough on this one not that I edit many of my videos but this one was bad. Maybe it is the body snatching that had me disturbed. That was creepy. I think I would have preferred a daring escape or rescue. Still good storytelling. 35:39 Back to cutscene There is always a creepiness factor when Zenos is involved, our psychopathic whack job of a stalker whom we have never actually beaten on our own. It is hard to count our win at the end of the main Stormblood MSQ. We were sent with an "elite force of adventurers" for the final quest to kill Zenos as per Pipin's words. The story-line has us take other adventurers and we didn't even kill him, he took care of that for us, though staying dead didn't last..which I think I would have preferred. Though my opinion on him is probably not the popular one. I guess a lot people liked him in Endwalker. He doesn't detract from the story though, I just don't like him. I have never liked pure psychopaths. I prefer enemies that you can sympathize/empathize with. The ones where you might not choose the choices they made but can see why they made the choices they made. With that being said I thought Endwalker was amazing. I used to think Shadowbringers couldn't be topped...but wow just wow. SE never ceases to amaze me with their storytelling.

3:07- Cutscene Begins Pretty straightforward, simple quest dealing with the aftermath of everything. The calm before the storm that's for sure. What comes next completely shocked me. I didn't see it coming in any foreshadowing and I read the dialogue pretty thoroughly.

The first cutscene is at 4:28. It is a good one. And of course who always shows up when our character is in need. I think indulging the Garleans is the last thing our characters want especially when it comes to the twins. 12:44: Alea Iacta Est begins. The die is cast. Meaning events have past a point of no return. This seems to be in reference to Julius Ceasar, when crossing the Rubicon and thus starting civil war that effectively ended the Roman republic. 15:58 The cutscene begins, the writers definitely want us to feel sorry for Jullus. To sympathize with him. He may have a sad story but that does not absolve one from their poor choices. Basically these two quests are a lot of cutscene and story. A very dark story. I love the twins and their optimism. As naive as it is, at least they temper it with practicality and who could begrudge them their hopes and dreams. My opinions on Quintus' actions are not kind so I will refrain from comment.

Still no accountability. It is of course all our fault instead. I liked the second quest. It was amusing.

Garleans are petty. They fight for a past injustice that they didn't actually live through themselves. (800ish years is when they lost Corvos and they won the land back under Emet-Selch) So they got their land back and their revenge. Of course it was on people who had never actually done anything wrong towards them... but I suppose in their eyes that is besides the point. Sins of the father and all that though it would be like great great yeah 8 times over. They are like a bunch of two year olds throwing a temper tantrum who never learned to adult. Even after they got their revenge they chose to conquer the rest of the world as well... I get that the people of Garlemald don't know that their entire nation was forged for the sole purpose of sewing chaos in the world but still...

This quest...the hypocrisy of the Garlean people or blind willful ignorance just astounds me. Better to live free and die then be in shackles...great sentiments but they were the oppressors, they were the ones enslaving other people, conquering nations, and the cruelty they hint at throughout the game of what they did to the conquered people... it certainly wasn't assimilate them. They enslaved and did so much worse. It just seems odd that Garleans had no clue what there rulers and their army was doing. I get the trust issues, enemies and all that, but at the same time they are projecting their own peoples sins onto people that are trying to help them. I am thinking way to deeply about this. The writers did a good job with this questline. Getting ones enemy to accept succor is truly a difficult task. It takes a strong moral character to love their enemies. I think the part I had trouble with was how the twins blamed themselves. It was not their fault. Their love and care of all life is truly endearing. Ok I messed the next quest up a bit I guess. Dialogue is missing so I must have forgotten to unpause it. But the majority of it is there. It is only a small bit that is missing.

Well here is part two. I tweaked the volume a little. Though there are still parts that if I emphasized, it seemed a bit loud still. I guess I will have to keep practicing. This questline was cute. Enjoy.

So after a couple of failures I got impatient. So you see me fail and fail again then I cut it off till I got it right. It was interesting to see the civilians. An entire society brainwashed into thinking that outside of them everyone else was a savage that either needed to be put down or ruled over with cruelty. Makes you wonder if the civilians knew how cruel their brethren were to the peoples across the rest of the planet. Or if they just didn't care.

So I experimented with my microphone. It's a bit rough but I am learning. Reading aloud the flowery language that is FFXIV was more challenging than I thought it would be.Plus my absolute butchering of names and certain words that are hard to pronounce. This first part, to me is too loud. The second video for this I hope is not as bad but I think I fluctuate in projection which makes some parts louder than others.

Off to Garlemald we go! This solo duty is fun. 1:25- Cutscene Begins 9:00- Be Thancred- I didn't have a perfect run but I succeeded. :) Those slashers were a little tricky especially for the second objective. 21:52-Cutscene 24:00-Ambush as yourself. It took me a minute to figure out what I was supposed to do. 29:10- Cutscene Frontline 31:40-Battle Begins- Sadu is awesome 37:50-Cutscene 47:50 Cutscene- I really wanted to pick the 3rd choice because it was amusing but I behaved.

So unfortunately I am missing two quests the videos got corrupted when I switched the files over to an external drive. So The Color of Joy and Sound the Bell, School's In is missing. The second quest was really informational too. I am going to skip the numbers they would have been assigned to so I can go back at some point and redo it. I love the quest Best of the Best. The cut scene is amazing.

So here it is the first dungeon for MSQ. I probably should have turned off my spell graphics. It is just trash mobs until: 6:25 mark where we meet the first boss Minduruva 17:00 second boss Sanduruva I was honestly pretty proud of myself for making it through the first two bosses without dying. But that didn't last... 28:00 last boss Cinduruva I make a lot of mistakes in this first attempt 31:45 2nd Attempt 37:40 Cutscene- Gotta love Estinien and his overpowered dragon powers G'raha might be a little overpowered too. :) And so ends the quest In the Dark of the Tower.

I love when we get to pick dialogue. I sometimes trouble picking which one I want because who knows what the response will be. :)

Ok so I fail at the accompany quests. Totally didn't realize you hit the yellow dialogue to get the actual dialogue. Sadly I didn't figure this out until yeah way way later in the game...The second quest in this video; I love the cutscene. It makes so much more sense now and to use the words of a song so familiar. This game is emotional. It is interesting watching these videos once again before I post them what clicks and is oh that was a hint or a bit of foreshadowing. Part of me wants to go back and do it all over again. All of it. All my videos are recorded all the way to the end except the role quests. I have not finished those yet. As far as the Forum goes and what they were up to. I am sure I am not the only one who figured out what they were up to far before it was revealed to us. The how was quite a surprise though. :)

Some of these quests in the early stages of this expansion seem to be trying to remind us how close we are to the Scions. Especially the twins who seem to mean the world to our characters and vice versa.

I don't even know what to say we had to catch a rodent. But then at least we get the dart game with the bird. :)
