Genevieve Collins, State Director for Texas at Americans for Prosperity - Passionate with a plan is what we all need.
Ok, a conversation that can start out with me saying in our opening "I am tired of all politicians" and Genevieve's response: "Hey, this Episode is off to a great start already I hope your listeners are ready, are locked in and ready for a wild one" has the makings for a great podcast.
Americans for Prosperity is the largest policy and grassroots organization in the country. They are the largest non[artisan policy and grassroots organization with chapters in all 50 states. Their sole mission is to really empower and educate our citizens across the country on the issues.
So as you listen to this discussion, you can hear Genevieve's excitement for what she is doing is rewarding and spreads hope for change. What we are doing now in both political parties is not working and education on what is best for all Texas citizens is the primary focus.
Please reach out and see how you can make a difference.

#87 Steve Blackwell, CEO, Invito Energy Partners stops by and we talk about "Drill Baby Drill"
Today with Steve Blackwell, we cover some interesting shifts in the oil and gas market. The shale revolution changed the global dynamics as a commodity and its price. The ESG investing movement came after that and brought some good and bad things to the market.
The ESG investing movement accomplished two things. Limiting the capital for drilling programs and investors demanding returns in months rather than years. The United States industry listened, evident today with the many returns provided to investors. The world listened, and the activist and fear to invest in drilling programs have left the supply side short for the next decade, even with demand destruction.
Steve is an industry expert and has seen many different types of operations. We have fun and see what may be in store for investors and consumers.

ENB #81 Heather Leahey, VP and Graham Bain, Geoscience Product Manager from Enverus. ESG and CCUS
Every day I get to talk with energy and carbon capture experts is a great day. Learning is something that we cannot throw off on the side as everything is changing so rapidly. And as an old dog, either learn new tricks or retire.
Today we talk with Heather Leahey, VP, and Graham Bain, Geoscience Product Manager, covering carbon emissions, CCUS, and other key issues. The analyst report and David Blackmon's article in Forbes about CCUS. CCUS plays in upstream, downstream, midstream, and coal-fired power plants. The Tax credits and ESG were also great parts of the conversation.
The use cases for getting additional oil out of the ground, for example, the oil in Colorado uses 70% natural CO2 in the additional recovery. With more CCUS projects coming online, using man-made CO2 will become easier.
Thank you, Heather and Graham, for stopping by the ENB podcast. I had an absolute blast - Stu.

ENB #75 Steve Reese, CEO of Reese Energy Consulting and we talk about critical issues in nat gas
I have an absolute blast with the ENB podcast guests, but any day I can talk with Steve Reese, it is a fantastic day.
Steve is the CEO of Reese Consulting, and they are experts in the natural gas, midstream, and LNG space. Both natural gas and LNG are critical for the U.S. and the EU. We get to banter about our OU vs. OSU rivalry. (He takes it easy on me sometimes)
The team at Reese consulting is running as fast as they can with projects. Listen to our discussion as we talk about the difficulties in getting natural gas relief to Europe. The United States has much to gain from helping our partners in the European markets. It is not like turning on a faucet and getting energy.
These projects are critically needed and must be engineered correctly to deliver on time and within budget. Not everyone has the expertise to pull these teams together.
Thank you, Steve, for stopping by the ENB podcast - Stu.

ENB #113 Gareth Evans, CEO & Founder, VECKTA and we talk deployment of onsite energy solutions.
Gareth Evans and I had a great talk, and if you want to move to cleaner energy, new clean tech, and management tools are required.
Gareth has a lot of excellent talking points about the energy transition and the importance of distributed energy sources. One of the critical points holding up the energy transition is the failing grid, and the upgrades required are not funded or even on the horizon.
One solution is to design energy solutions to reduce the number of transmission lines required. The idea of lowering the costs for grid upgrades is how any progress will be made in reducing costs to consumers.
Please connect with Gareth on his LinkedIn HERE:
VECKTA accelerates and simplifies the deployment of onsite energy solutions. Fred is the Co-Chair and Director of the Council for a Secure America; he stops by the podcast, and we have a discussion that is critical for the energy security of the United States. This is a fun conversation and we cover just about everything needed for a country to remain a sovereign nation. The global geopolitical climate has changed, and we need to pay attention to the U.S. / Isreal relationship. It is a long-term, critical ally for the United States and was instrumental in the Abraham Accords put into effect under the previous administration.
Being an industry thought leader and influencer is very evident early in the conversation. We even got into his relationship with Harold Hamm and scheduled dinner following the podcast. It would be great to have Harold and Fred on a special edition of the ENB podcast.

Episode #147 – Global Energy Landscape: Iran Soars, Russia Targets Southeast Asia, Sanctions Challenged, and Putin’s Revelations Unveiled
In this episode of the Daily Energy News Beat Stand Up, Michael Tanner and Stuart Turley discuss various energy news stories. They cover topics such as Iran's high oil exports despite U.S. sanctions, Russia's energy industry betting on South Asia, Putin revealed details of a draft treaty on Ukrainian neutrality, and the challenge of building a million more EV charging stations in the U.S.
Here are the Bullet Points:
- Iran's oil exports reached a five-year high in May, exceeding 1.5 million barrels per day, despite being under U.S. sanctions since 2018.
- Russia's energy industry is diversifying and betting on South Asia, particularly India, as a major energy partner to reduce dependence on exports to China.
- Putin revealed details of a draft treaty on Ukrainian neutrality during a meeting with African leaders, emphasizing the need for Africa to utilize its natural resources and develop its energy infrastructure.
The U.S. is facing the challenge of needing a million more EV charging stations by 2030, and the question arises as to who will bear the cost—likely the consumers.
- China made advancements by introducing its first floating oil factory, while natural gas bans are implemented for environmental reasons, highlighting the growing importance of clean energy alternatives.

ENB #61: David Ramsden-Wood (DRW) The Man, The Myth, and The Return from Social Media Jail
I have had the privilege of having DRW on my daily show, and other podcasts several times. He always brings his opinions, thoughts, and insights. While DRW is a controversial figure, I personally have enjoyed his opinions and industry insights. We do not always agree on topics, but we have great discussions. That is what our society needs is the ability for people to have discussions and learn from each other.
This episode is no different. We have a great time and cover the energy news, and even solve some of our society issues along the way. Being banned from social media several times is a badge of honor, especially when DRW was bringing up topics and points the media was trying to shut down, and later we find out he was right.
We talk about the geopolitical issues around Russia and we both agree that sanctions do not work, and hypocrisy abounds. The only people hurt in sanctions are the consumers, and why are we spending 40 billion dollars in Ukraine when we could use that money to harden our schools and keep our kids safe? I would add that we need to spend part of the money on mental health services to get at the root of the problem.
One thing you will find out is that DRW does not need talking point cheat sheets, he has the stats and facts. So, an interview without a teleprompter or a note telling him when to stand or sit is refreshing. Not sure that I would vote for him for president, but he would make a heck of a great U.S. Secretary of Energy.
DRW also let us know that he and Mike Umbro are the new Podcast hosts for Energy Strong! This is extremely cool, and as Sandstone Group we are proud to be an Energy Strong sponsor.
DRW is the author of #hotakeoftheday and we recommend following him on his Substack https://hottakeoftheday.substack.com/, LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/david-r-b..., and other social media platforms.

ENB #63: Richard Welch Candidate for Congress
Today is no exception, I get the opportunity to visit with Richard Welch, Candidate for Congress, and we really had fun talking about what legislators need in order to make good laws. And yes, common sense is the answer, but sprinkle in some industry knowledge, and you will see energy prices drop.
Richard also was able to get his feelings out on the recent election and how it impacted him. There are a lot of things that we can fix in our political system and would start with treating everyone with respect.
Richard brings up in the podcast a great point, why would you want someone with an agenda that would harm the environment, economy, and consumers to drive a narrative rather than look at all options?
” The Department of Environmental Justice is run by a bunch of social justice warriors. But have they have no clue what goes on inside of these refineries or petrochemical plants or, you know, even these midstream pipeline companies.”
Richard, thank you for stopping by the ENB Podcast, and looking forward to your next visit.
