I got talking with Jimmy at a cruise in and he invited us down to see the forgotten Shotgun Customs Fox body Mustang convertible made for country music icon Alan Jackson. This is a one of one Shotgun Convertible that was on the "Don't Rock the Jukebox" album back cover. Later it was given away in a contest. Jimmy ended up with the car 22 years ago and it has only accumulated a bit over 15,000 miles. We check out this supercharged, unrestored piece of automotive and music history.

We crossed over the mountain to Franklin, NC for the Pharoahs Summer Block Party show and we had a blast. Over 100 hot rods, customs and classics filled the lot. Lots of big block powered stuff, too.

Luttrell's Hardware in Copperhill, TN hosts a customer appreciation day every year where the cars roll in and they do give aways and feed everyone hot rods. It was my first time there and I look forward to going again.

After years of reliable service it is time to take apart my '46 Chevy rat rod pickup. The 409" small block is leaking and the trans is slipping, so we will give this ol' friend a well deserved overhaul.

The girls and I took a ride over the mountain to Franklin, NC to get the skinny of the Highlands Autocross Club meet they host monthly. A big variety of cars came out from Miatas to Mustangs and Vette to Vee Dubs.

Finally got the chance to get to the Poole's BBQ cruise in. Great place to eat, even better when there's hot rods on the lawn.

We headed down late in the day to catch the last half of the Georgia Mountain Classic car club's car show in Blue Ridge, GA to see what showed up for the 2022 show. Some really nice cars and trucks were on display.

My buddy Keith has a wild mind and it translates into custom model cars, his real insane '23 Ford theme rod and his wild yard art. We hang out with him and get some details on his fine details he gives his cars, models and art creations.

The cruise season is officially in season and we had a bunch of cars show up to the Midweek Motoring Cruise In at Comfort Grub in Murphy, NC for the April 2022 cruise. This cruise is held every 3rd Weds. of the month all year round. While I didn't get all the cars that showed, I did get many of the newcomers and a bunch of the regulars.

While this isn't about cars, I love dogs and I know many of you out there do too. Here is a way to help a gun shy dog get over her fears. Holley is our odd mutt that we rescued. She was abused and is very scared of clicking noises and metallic sounds. She has come a long way already, but she would hide at the click of a pen.

While at our monthly Midweek Motoring cruise we decided to meet the coming Sunday to take a ride out to the Memory Lane Museum in Young Harris, GA to see what was on display. We had about 10 cars meet up in Murphy and another 5 or 6 met us at the museum. Here are some of the highlights.

Martins Creek School in Murphy, NC hosts a good car show mid November every year. The Nov 13th 2021 show was colder than usual, but over 85 cars still made the show. It turned out to be a great show. MCS is a great little school and Mr. Wilson and staff use this show as a fund raiser for various school programs. The people in the area are huge supporters of the school.

The Blairsville Cruisers host another great show to honor our Veterans. The Nov. 6th show had about 200 cars. We cruised over in Liberty's Vette to check out the scene.
