These motorcycles surprised the driver as they sped by at a high rate of speed.
These guys were performing some scary lane splitting!

Good cop or bad cop, you decide
This is dashcam footage of travel along a Connecticut highway.
There is an unmarked state police car riding in the right lane that ends up getting cut off and pulls the car over.
Who was at fault? Car or cop?
There seems to be opinions on both sides of the aisle with this one.
You decide and comment if you wish.

Cop rescues stranded driver
This is dashcam video along a Connecticut highway.
Notice how the state trooper is giving assistance to what we can assume was a stranded driver.
Trooper is bumper to bumper with the disabled vehicle while pushing it.
An awesome police escort demonstrated with a second trooper behind.
Not all cops are bad. It only takes a couple bad apples to make news.
So it was great to see Connecticut's finest performing this great service!
Forget about AAA

Cars blast through out of order traffic lights caused by major storm
Are cars supposed to treat malfunctioning lights as stop signs?
What are traffic laws when a stop light is out?
This video was recorded after a major August 2020 storm in New England.
Hurricane Isaias cut power to 2.8 million homes and businesses along the East Coast and resulted in the third worst blackout in Connecticut history.
One of the issues after a major blackout is that traffic control devices are part of that blackout.
These drivers speed through the out of order stop lights as if there were green.
What happens if another driver is thinking the same thing at that intersection.
This is a good recipe for a T-bone situation.

State Trooper not practicing Social Distancing
Appears the state trooper was driving too close to the vehicle in front of him.
At closer observation it is clear that he was right up on the bumper.
The state police car was actually physically touching the car in front of him.
Without any other information to go on, it might be assumed that he was giving the car a push.
Perhaps no tow trucks were around.
Maybe the car was in a dangerous part of the highway and needed to me immediately moved

Lady clears tree branches in road while onlookers standby
Mail chauvinism is dead in this town.
Female driver came upon a road block caused by some tree branches.
At arrival it was blocking both lanes of traffic.
So she takes the initiative to take care of business.
Meanwhile, a trail of cars is in opposite lane. Waiting impatiently for her to clear it.
No offer of help from anyone.
She clears the tree branches in the road while onlookers standby.
She didn't get the credit she deserved but at least I have video proof of her good deed.

Overconfident driver causes accident
This careless driver captures his own carelessness.
Driver was traveling in unfamiliar territory and was being over confident of his own driving ability. This is bad road skills mixture.

18 Wheeler blasts through Red light
Busy intersection sees an 18 Wheeler blast though a red light.
Heavy load so maybe it couldn't slow down in time.
Perhaps too fast for the road?

Almost hit from behind by an impatient driver
This is rear view dashcam footage showing a car coming up fast and almost running into the car in front.
You can see how he almost runs into the car but quickly hits the brakes and goes into the breakdown lane to avoid the collision.
He proceeds to recklessly change lanes and succeeds.
But it is not really a success because as you can see from the front dashcam footage, he didn't get too far.
Almost hit from behind by an impatient driver

Car crosses over to oncoming lane and runs red
This is video footage of a red light runner that has no regard for traffic control devices.
This blatant red light runner shows no concern for anyone on the road.
Video shows a car sitting at a red light waiting for it to turn green so he can make a left turn.
While waiting, a speeding car moves into the oncoming lane to bypass all of the cars waiting at this light. He then blows straight through it with no hesitation.

Reckless road raging driver displays universal hand gesture
All seems normal looking ahead until there is some maniac that speeds by you flipping you the bird!
This road-rager seemed a little aggressive in trying to pass the dashcam owner during a merge on a Connecticut highway.
What the heck happened? Did the dashcam owner do something wrong?
That was a rather deliberate gesture as the driver speeds on by. Notice his rather larger looking tattooed arm and fat middle finger.
This gesture has universal meaning and no matter where you go, the message is usually the same. Extending the middle finger is considered a symbol of contempt in several cultures. Some cultures have similar gestures to display disrespect. For example, the 2 finger "peace" sign means something totally different depending on which way you hold your hand.
So imagine my surprise when I review the video to see what had transpired. Why was he so angry?
Well it is apparent that driver was in a lane that eventually merges as he enters another highway. You can see in the rear view camera that the other car is passing others as he heads down the right lane. He gets up behind but the dashcam driver is already in the merged lane. The aggressive driver thinks he can muscle cars out of the way. But dashcam driver is focused on driving safely and did not engage with this lunatic. He continues passing by and speeds on down the highway at speeds over the limit.
His minuscule muscles had minute affect. Dashcam driver was not intimidated.

Inconsiderate drivers block lanes for their own convenience
Apparently these drivers are unaware that there are others that are on the road.
This is apparent as can be seen in this video of cars holding up lanes so that they can change into another.
The 1st driver actually makes a dead stop right in the lane so he can cut into the left lane. This forces cars to squeeze by him while he is nonchalantly cutting in front of others.
The 2nd car tries to jump the queue by driving in the left turn lane all the way up to the light and then stops to cut into the lane for going straight. This too forces drivers to go around him.
Sometimes this method is used to bypass queues but disregards courtesy of other vehicles on the road.
Stopping the flow of traffic so you can change lanes is not good driving.

Redlight runners amok in this town.
Small compilation of red light runners as seen in the great state of Connecticut.
Running red usually seems to be done for convenience like trying to save time. As in the 1st clip where an individual is seen running a red to avoid the wait at the light and attempts to take a shortcut through a parking lot. He doesn't get far as you can see when dashcam driver is still behind him at the next light.
Then take a look at other obvious bad driving red light runners. Careless driving at its worse. Scary to think that there could be crossing traffic. Dangerous. Perfect conditions for getting T-Boned.
How about the inattentive driver that nearly goes straight when there is a green left turn arrow? Notice how at the last second he slams on the brakes!
The last 2 videos are at the same intersection at different times. This particular intersection is notorious for this kind of behavior.

Over Confident Driver Causes Own Mishap
Driver yells that it is a Yield sign and not a Stop sign and then CRASH!
Dashcam owner captures his own carelessness.
Dashboard cameras are great for capturing others but sometimes the tables are turned when the dashcam owner finds himself the subject of an embarrassing, careless accident or mishap.
That is the story here for this hapless fellow. Driving in unfamiliar territory and being over confident of one's own driving skills can be a bad mixture. As driver had just got done bragging about his clean driving record he is approaching an off ramp to a tourist attraction probably filled with others that are just as unfamiliar with the area.
The driver seemed to know the rules. As was demonstrated by his commentary while driving on the exit ramp. Again, just earlier he was boasting about his driving skills and how people should go back to driving school. Everybody is a bad driver except for him. Isn't that always the case?
So as cars slowly proceed through the intersection behind a hesitating white car, driver exclaims "It's a yield sign not a stop sign!" and "You can do it!" But then suddenly, the white car hits the brakes and bam! The dashcam driver plows right into his rear end!
Driving on a highway in unfamiliar areas can sometimes lead to confusion. Locals know the local road and out of towners usually are not familiar. So when this dashcam driver noticed cars getting off the highway in a somewhat hesitant manner, this was his clue that they were not from around here. But neither was he. Especially since this is an exit ramp to a very popular tourist destination. Additionally, this is the weekend so most likely, the drivers getting off here are mostly tourist unfamiliar with this intersection.
But as you can hear, just a few seconds before, this perfect driver was just commenting about others on the road. At this point he was verbalizing his acumen for traffic control signage. He states, "It's a yield sign not a stop sign!" and "You can do it!". No sooner than he finishes those comments, he rams into the car. And then boom, there goes his pride.
Driver seemed to be in disbelief that the event actually happened. This was demonstrated by the sound of his voice when he asks; "Did I hit him?" As if this surreal moment was happening in the Twilight Zone.
The driver of each vehicle did get out and approach each other. It turns out that there was no damage to either vehicle. With the obvious collision and loud sound of the crash, it would seem that there should have been damage but there was none. It could have been a lot worse. After a few minutes of discussion and a hand shake, each driver went on their way. Both able to drive another day.

Queue jumper tries to muscle his way in and gets denied
This is rear view dashcam footage of traffic build up at a light. One lane to go straight and one to turn left. As traffic starts to move, a black Toyota decides his left turn only doesn't apply to him and decides to go straight.
But the big white ark in the straight lane isn't having any of it and denied this cheeky entitled menace and takes him on, making sure he does not gain entry.
You can hear the horn blow. The intimidating sound of the horn did not come from the diminutive Toyota.
As you can see, the would be left turner is denied access in front of the White car.

Inattentive driver causes multiple red light runners
Driver decides he is in no rush to proceed through the green light!
This is a common area for bad driving in Berlin CT. This particular intersection is notorious for red light runners.
The driver in the Silver Chevy pickup waited a long time after he got the green left turn arrow. This in turn causes a delay for the drivers behind him who were not having any of it. So as they proceed to pass under the light, it is already red for multiple cars. How many?

Guy holds up left turn lane because he is more important.
The left lane shown here is for left turners only after being signaled by a green arrow.
This guy decides he isn't going to follow through with his left turn. He puts his right turn signal on and tries to muscle his way over to the lane that goes straight.
But while he is trying to shift over, he is blocking other cars from making their own left turn. You can see how this happen when the green arrow comes on and no one can really move except for the guy that rides up on the grass and goes around.
This turn signal is pretty quick and the green left does not stay green for long.
The driver is stuck for an extra light cycle while he waits for another green arrow.

How not to drive in bad weather
Wet roads mean slippery conditions. But for these 2 drivers, it does not matter. First vehicle in dashcam video shows severe tailgating. What would happen if the car in front hit the breaks?
The 2nd driver is not only driving too fast for road conditions, he quickly and dangerously changes lanes after passing on right hand side. He quickly goes nowhere fast as apparent buy the vehicle that he ends up behind.

Rushing truck dangerously changes lanes
Rushing truck dangerously changes lanes
Speeds in excess of 50 mph and this truck decides it is not fast enough to get where he is going.
Watch as he speeds of on the right hand lane and then quickly changes lanes almost colliding with a car. All this to get ahead of everyone only to end up slowing down to the pace of the traffic up ahead.
He didn't get far now did he?
Worth the risk for this kind of bad driving? This reckless behavior puts others at risk.

Driver appears to enter Roundabout for the first time
Roundabout: a road junction at which traffic moves in one direction around a central island to reach one of the roads converging on it.
Dashcam footage of a couple cars entering a roundabout.
It seems to be the first time in a roundabout for this driver. A collision almost occurred.
A roundabout is not a merry-go-round that stops to let people on.
Which driver do you think would be at fault had there been a collision?

White van loses cap and a curb jumper
A white work van loses hubcap at 50 mph. Could have ended badly if the cap did not spin off road out of control onto the sidewalk.
and then there is another white van that decides that his time is important enough to jump the sidewalk and go around it. Probably damaging something in the process. Only saving a mere .01 seconds probably.

Cars nearly collide on highway lane merge
This is the exact same spot that a previous video showed a car cutting off a cop car! As seen here.. https://rumble.com/v30g3o-car-cuts-off-cop-on-highway.html
The lanes merge and if you don't pay attention you can quickly end up sharing the lane side by side with your fellow driver. You can even end up being run off the highway. In this case brakes and maneuvering was used to get right back on track.
There is plenty of lane merging warnings here. Dashcam owner has stated that he sees may cars racing in the left lane to merge in front of whomever is in the center lane. Drivers also wait until the last possible second to cut over.

With plenty of time to stop, van still runs red
It appears this vehicle had more than enough time to stop but he proceeds to run the red traffic light. Perhaps this was a distracted driver?
