No, really - this Ruger shoots great!
I had a malfunction at an IDPA match because I made a mistake re-assembling it after its first cleaning. I resolved it the next day. Whew!

Ruger PC Carbine Model 19122 Part 6 - Zero Hour
I took the PCC to Lincoln Ike's (Izaak Walton League) to zero the dot and shoot it a little - put a couple hundred rounds thru it - really fun to shoot!

Ruger PC Carbine Model 19122 Part 5 - Vortex Defender CCW
The Vortex Defender CCW would probably not hold up on the battlefield but I think its a great option for home defense or the way I hope to use it: the occasional IDPA match.

Ruger PC Carbine Model 1922 Part 3 - Charging Handle
"The majority of humans are right-handed (a whopping 85-90%) . . ." So why is the charging handle on the right side!?! Thank you Ruger for giving me the option to move it to the correct side so I don't have to move my right hand to charge the rifle or reach over the top with my left!!!

Ruger PC Carbine Model 19122 - Part 1
I bought a Ruger PC Carbine Model 19122 from Scheels in Des Moines. It took one week to get it to the Scheels here in Lincoln. I think this is a great home defense firearm, but I primarily bought it to shoot in IDPA occasionally. It is really a pleasure to shoot!
This rifle is a PCC - pistol chambered carbine - in 9mm. It shoots the exact same ammo as in my 9mm pistols. A cool feature of the PC Carbine is that it is a takedown - press a lever and twist the barrel/fore end and it breaks down into 2 parts. I have a bag 24" long and 9" wide that it fits very nicely in. It weighs 7 lbs and has last round, bolt hold open - a great feature IMO. I think its a great rifle for under a grand.
So I made a series of short videos of getting the rifle set up, zeroed in and a little shooting. I made these for me, not you, but feel free to enjoy them with me.

Birdbath 230427
This is over 90 minutes of birds taking a bath in the pond in our back yard - if you have trouble sleeping at night, this is the video for you. There are lots of really sweet shots of the birds here, but I don't believe any human, even the most avid bird lover, could sit and watch this whole thing in one shot.
But I do love the video!

RCBS Bullet Pullers: Inertia vs Collet
Sometimes in ammunition reloading, there is just something not right about the end product - something we are not happy with: amount of powder, seating depth, etc. Well, you could just take a couple pairs of pliers and mangle the bullet out of the brass. But because we are penny pinchers, we don't want to simply throw the components away - we want to save the planet by recycling - the bullet, the brass, the powder and the primer!
Voilà - the bullet puller!
This is just a very simple video demonstrating the difference between an inertia bullet puller and a collet bullet puller.
