Closing And Summary, By Jean Gibson
The Writings of Jean Gibson.
I Am a Christian, true or False
Introduction
As a child, I wondered about God. What did God expect of me? For what purpose was I put here on earth? Where could I find the answers? Those questions may seem surprising from a baptized and confirmed child, a church member, and a regular Sunday school attendee. I learned Bible stories, Bible verses, and statements from church creeds. Somehow this material never came together in my mind in an understandable way. Perhaps that was my fault. I suspect, however, that my teachers could not clearly communicate the essential teaching necessary for my soul’s eternal welfare. I needed to know the answers to my questions. Somehow my church failed me.
This book has been written to give some answers to essential questions about our relationship with God. Everyone ought to learn the answers to these questions from the only reliable source, God Himself. These answers came from special revelation through the Bible. From the Bible, we learn what we could not otherwise know about God and His interactions with people.
Each chapter in this small book addresses a major spiritual issue that is often unclear and confused in the minds of the general public. This confusion also exists, regrettably, in the minds of many church attendees, including some in Bible-teaching churches. Our Bible teachers, taken as a whole but with some exceptions, are not carefully clarifying vital spiritual truths. Each chapter deserves thoughtful, prayerful consideration. Whether or not you agree with every statement in the chapter, you ought to think about these issues and come to a clear, Biblical conviction about them. May the Holy Spirit guide you in this study because all of us need to be sure of our salvation. Remember this: You yourself must answer before God the question, “Am I a true, born-again Christian?” Your answer must be based on Biblical facts, not human hopes. It will determine your eternal destiny. Think this through carefully.

Lesson 2 Assurance Of Salvation, By Jean Gibson
The Writings of Jean Gibson.
Follow-Up Guide for New Christians.
Follow-up means helping someone who has made a profession of faith in Christ to get started. It is very important to firmly establish a new believer in the faith.
What: Spiritual encouragement and practical counsel by a more mature believer of the same sex following a profession of faith in Christ; involves a series of simple Bible lessons for beginners but also includes prayer, counsel, and other needed help; usually takes an hour one day of the week, supplemented by telephone contact.
Why: Good follow-up conserves the fruit of an evangelistic contact by helpful assistance to the newly regenerated person. It may also reveal a premature or false profession that needs to be converted into a true relationship with Christ.
How: The responsible follow-up helper needs to be a friend and encourager, not just someone who checks up on answers. The lessons are merely tools to use. Quality work by the helper is the most important factor. It will help you to bear in mind the following suggestions:
1. Be interested in them as a person, not a work project.
2. Strengthen your relationship so the professed convert can trust you.
3. Pray aloud with them, showing them how to pray.
4. Show them your confidence in God’s Word as trustworthy and vital to growth by example.
5.
Plan ahead for your meetings to use the time to your best advantage.
6. Be sure you have reviewed the lesson to be studied.
7. Make clear that faithfulness in completing these lessons and meeting with you as scheduled is an indication of their serious attitude toward the Lord.

How To Get The Most Out Of Intermediate Christian Training
The following suggestions will make this study profitable.
1. Pray To God. Ask God to help you understand His Word. Claim the promise of Psalm 119:130: “The entrance of thy Words giveth light, it giveth understanding unto the simple.” It is impossible to truly understand God’s Word without God’s help (2 Corinthians 2:14).
2. Prepare Before Class.
a. Answer Homework Questions. Complete all items of the Study Guide as directed. If you have trouble with a question, pass it on to the next question.
b. Read the Notes. Read and reread the lesson. Underline key thoughts, and mark anything you do not understand or that you have questions about. Make notations on the wide
margin at the side of each lesson.
c. Look Up Key References. If time permits read
all Scripture references from a modern
translation such as the New American Standard Bible. A typical reference is written with the name of the book followed by the chapter number and verse number which are separated by a colon (example: Colossians 3:23). Most Bibles have a table of contents that lists the starting page number for each book of the Bible. After finding the page, locate the appropriate chapter and verse.
3. Attend Class Regularly. There is a time for small group interaction as well as a lecture period. Your questions and comments will encourage others to share.
4. Save Your Notes And Materials. These will help you in your further study and you may wish to share them with others.

The Holy Ghost Who Dwells in Us. by W. H. Westcott. The Seal
The Holy Spirit occupies a very special place in relation to Christians, distinct from anything set forth in Old Testament times or enjoyed by Old Testament saints; distinct from what was enjoyed by the disciples who companied with the Lord previous to His death, resurrection, and ascension; and distinct from what will be wrought in men (Israelites and Gentiles) after Christians are gone from the earth to the Lord; when the time will have come for the millennial reign of Christ, and its attendant glory and blessing.
We will reverently speak of His unique service in Christianity and invite the reader's prayerful study and exercise of heart over the Scripture; that we may seek to answer to the grace that God has shown to us and to the position Christ has won for us, loyally and largely, till He comes.
Below is the playlist of all of W.H Westcott's writings.

Recollections of the Late J. G. Bellett Preface
It may seem strange that after so many years have elapsed since my dear father’s death, I should now print these notes of his life; and I feel that some explanation may naturally be expected.
From time to time I have been reminded that he is still held in loving remembrance by friends, and also, that many who never saw him feel almost as if they had known and loved him from being familiar with his writings, some of which, I believe, are even more read than formerly. Within the last year or two I have met with more than one whose acquaintance with him was very short; “but his loving spirit, and still more, his abiding sense of the presence of his Lord, and his exceeding love to Him,” made an impression which time has not effaced.
To such friends I have thought that this little book might be welcome. It does not profess to be a life of my father. The manuscript from which it is taken was written several years ago for my own comfort, and without any thought whatever of publication; and the recollections are quite fragmentary.
I am glad to be able to add extracts from some of his letters to myself, and also to different members of his family, which have been given to me, as well as some remembered words, so that my father will himself speak through these pages.
At the end will be found a short account written by him of my brother; and as I feel that it tells much about himself as well as of the son he so loved, I think that many friends may like to read it. But it was not written for publication.
To prepare these pages has been almost a sacred work. I am deeply conscious of their defects, and can but entrust them to the kindness and sympathy of those who may read them.
Poor as are my words about my dear father, I trust they may convey some idea of his character, and (to use the words of one of his nieces) “of his steadfast faith, his sweet humility, his child-like simplicity, and above all, the depth and breadth of his love, shewn to all who came under his notice, but which centred in the Lord Jesus Christ, and which shone out so pre-eminently the last few weeks of his life.”
If this little record should lead any one to love more fervently his dear Lord and Master, and to prize more highly His holy Word; or if it may be the means of strengthening any wavering faith, I shall indeed be thankful to Him to Whose blessing I commend it.
L. M. Bellett.

Accepted in the Beloved, by Edward Dennett.
EDWARD DENNETT was born on the Isle of Wight in 1831 at Bembridge and died in Croydon in Oct. 1914 after a short illness. His people were all in the Church of England. Still, he was converted as a lad through the instrumentality of a godly clergyman. He left the church from conviction and became minister of a Baptist Chapel in Greenwich, having previously matriculated at London University.
In 1873 he contracted a severe illness through visiting one of his parishioners and was sent abroad for a year by his people. He wintered at Veytaux and, coming in contact with ´brethren´ staying at the same ´pension,´ he had a good deal of intercourse with them, which helped to clear in his mind specific difficulties that he had.
Taking no steps till his return, he explained his views and resigned his charge. Shortly after ´breaking bread´ for the first time with those gathered simply at the Lord´s table "unto His Name."
Mr. Dennett had the pen of a ready writer. His sphere of labor was England, Ireland, and Scotland, and he paid visits to Norway, Sweden, and America. He had pastoral and teaching gifts of a high order.
