Pornhub Bans Utah - The Occult - Twitter Renamed X Corp - Dying Well
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Wednesday, May 3rd - 2023 – St. Ansfrid
St. Ansfrid, Count of Brabant, led a successful military career before dedicating his life to God. He founded an abbey at Heiligenberg and a convent at Thorn, which were built with the financial support of his wife. Together, they agreed to live as brother and sister in perfect chastity. When he retired from his military career, he proclaimed his dedication to fighting for the glory of God and the conquest of souls. Ansfrid was later appointed Bishop of Utrecht, but he continued to take leave of his work to make retreats at one of the monasteries he had founded. He died in 1010 and was soon recognized for his saintly life.
The life of St. Ansfrid shows the unity of a life lived in continuous combat in both the spiritual and temporal spheres. He was a knight-errant fighting on behalf of the poor, widows and orphans for the love of Christ, and later, as a bishop, he fought for the salvation of souls. This attitude is in contrast with the pacifist mentality of our times that sees any combat, be it ideological or material, as evil in itself. The life of St. Ansfrid invites us to imitate his militancy and enjoy the fight for a superior cause, which is the cause of Our Lady.
St. Ansfrid, Pray for us.

Lutherans Defending Catholics? - Fostering Authentic Masculine and Feminine Virtues
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Tuesday, May 2nd - 2023 – St. Athanasius
Saint Athanasius, whose feast day is celebrated on May 2, was one of the greatest saints of the Church, and his life offers valuable lessons for Christians. St. Athanasius lived during the time of Emperor Constantine and his immediate successors. During this period, the Church was transitioning from the catacombs to organizing itself in the light of day. However, as the pagan persecutions decreased, the Church was plagued with heresies and internal divisions. The heresy of Arianism was particularly nefarious as its followers denied that Jesus Christ was God, instead claiming that He was only a human being. St. Athanasius, who was the Patriarch Archbishop of Alexandria, was the great giant who fought against Arianism. He spent 17 of his 46 years as archbishop in exile, due to Arian plots against him, and was even threatened with death. During one of his flights, he was forced to spend six years hidden at the bottom of an abandoned well. He was always confident in Divine Providence, always disposed to fight, and always unwavering in his orthodox purposes. He fought against Arianism through his sermons, and his words were taken down, copied, and spread throughout the Roman Empire. In conclusion, St. Athanasius's life is a shining example of perseverance, courage, and faith, and his fight against Arianism provides an example of how to resist heresy.
St. Athanasius, Pray for us.

Date – Friday, April 18th - 2023 – St. Louis Grignion de Monfort
St. Louis Grignion de Monfort (1673-1716) was a French priest who was banished from the Diocese of Poitiers by the Bishop, influenced by Jansenism, during his preaching of spiritual exercises to the Sisters of St. Catherine. At his leave-taking, he directed a letter to the inhabitants of Montbernage, urging them to have an ardent love for Jesus Christ and to love Him through Mary. He emphasized the importance of true devotion to Our Lady, praying the Rosary every day, and receiving the Sacraments at least once a month. St. Louis faced many enemies who hated him for defending the principles of the institutions that supported them. However, the Vendée and Bretagne, where his preaching was well received, were the only places that rose up to defend the altar and the throne during the French Revolution. St. Louis is a rejected prophet, who raised high the standard of the fight, but at the same time was rejected, hated, and persecuted, just like true counter-revolutionaries today.

Tucker Carlson Speaks - Connecticut Lawmakers Defeat Assisted Suicide Bill for 11th Year in a Row
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Thursday, April 27th - 2023 – Pope St. Marcellinus
Pope Marcellinus ruled the Church of Rome for 9 years and 4 months. But under the orders of Emperors Diocletian and Maximian, he was taken prisoner and forced to offer sacrifice to idols. At first, he refused and was threatened with torture, but in fear, he ultimately made a sacrifice to the gods, causing immense sadness among the faithful.
Members of the church reproached him severely, and he realized his error, offering himself to be judged by a council of Bishops. The Bishops stated that the Supreme Pontiff cannot be judged by anyone, but he could weigh his own case and pronounce his own judgment. Pope Marcellinus deposed himself, but the whole gathering immediately re-elected him.
The Emperors had him arrested again, but he refused to make a sacrifice to the idols and was sentenced to be beheaded. This led to a renewed persecution where 17,000 Christians were put to death in one month.
When Marcellinus was about to be beheaded, he declared himself unworthy of Christian burial, and no one dared to bury him. His body lay above ground for 35 days until Apostle Peter appeared to Marcellus, the Pope who succeeded Marcellinus, and instructed him to bury Marcellinus at his feet. Marcellus obeyed, and the curse was lifted.

Tucker Carlson Removal - MS-13 Gang Member Kills Florida Citizen - Utah Senator's Home Attacked
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Wednesday, April 26th - 2023 – Our Lady of Good Counsel
Our Lady of Good Counsel of Genazzano is celebrated on April 25 in Genazzano and April 26 elsewhere. The picture of Our Lady depicts her as a queen wearing a crown of precious stones, and the Child Jesus also wears one. The jewels set on the picture were given by individuals in thanksgiving for spiritual favors and miracles worked by Our Lady. The picture reveals remarkable coherence, especially in Our Lady's expression. Her face is completely serene, and everything about her gives the impression of her great satisfaction in having her Child in her arms. The Child has an extraordinary intimacy with her, and He holds onto her like one accustomed to such a position. There is a curious contrast in their attitudes. He has an air of dominion, clasping her neck, and appears satisfied and protected, notwithstanding He looks like her Lord. In her physiognomy, there is veneration and respect for Him. She assumes the air of a person who prays. She is not asking anything in her prayers; she is contemplating His person. It seems to me that she is making an act of contemplation. The painting delicately expresses the Catholic doctrine of the mediation of graces. It does not have the precision of theology, but the subtleness proper to art. When you draw nearer to the picture to contemplate the relationship between her and Him, you feel yourself invited to enter into their intimacy. You feel yourself being understood, loved, and helped by her, and by Him. You feel yourself adopted by her as a son or daughter and, therefore, like a brother of the Child Jesus.
Our Lady of Good Counsel, Pray for us.

Pontifical Academy of Life President Calls Medically Assisted Suicide ‘Feasible’
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Tuesday, April 25th - 2023 – St. Mark the Evangelist
St. Mark the Evangelist is celebrated on April 25th. He was from the tribe of Levi, baptized by St. Peter, and instructed by him in the Christian faith. Mark would follow Peter to Rome and preached the Gospel in the city with him. The faithful asked St. Mark to write the life of Our Lord according to the accounts of St. Peter, and so Mark wrote the narrative based on what he had heard from Peter. Peter approved it to be read by all the faithful. Later, Peter sent Mark to Alexandria, where he was the first to preach the Word of God. Simon, an old Jew who witnessed the labors of Mark in that city, said an enormous multitude converted there as a consequence of the apostolate of St. Mark. St. Peter Damian wrote that God gave St. Mark a special grace by which all the people he converted in Alexandria took up monastic customs. St. Peter consecrated him Bishop of Alexandria. In this city, the zeal of St. Mark attracted the hatred of the priests of the false gods. They seized him while he was saying Mass and tied a rope around his neck, dragging him through the city like an animal to slaughter. His body was lacerated, and his blood stained the roads. In prison, he was consoled by an Angel, and Our Lord visited him, saying, “Peace be with you, O Mark, My Disciple and My Evangelist. Fear nothing because I am near you.” The next day the pagan priests again dragged him through the streets, and he died saying, “Into Thy hands I commend my spirit.” The air became turbulent, and lighting and thunder broke through the sky. His disciples were able to collect and piously bury his remains. St. Mark's conversion of many people of Alexandria was a stark contrast to the dissolute and exorbitant way of life of the local social elites.

Jesuit University Hosts Drag Show
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Monday, April 24th - 2023 – St. Fidelis of Sigmaringen
St. Fidelis of Sigmaringen was born as Mark Rey in 1577 in Sigmaringen, Prussia. He was a successful lawyer but disillusioned with the corruption and fraud in the legal system and society. Thus, he became a priest and joined the Capuchin Order at age 35, taking the name Fidelis. He was a remarkable orator and preached in various German, Austrian, and Swiss cities. His efforts were not confined to the pulpit, as he also wrote pamphlets against Calvinism and Zwinglianism. He was appointed as Superior at several monasteries and was also tasked by the Papal Nuncio to reform monasteries of other Orders. The Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith appointed the Capuchins to combat Calvinism in the region of Grisons, Switzerland, and Fr. Fidelis was chosen to lead the mission. He was so successful that the heretics became alarmed and spread rumors that he was preparing the way for the subjugation of the country by Austria. Despite this, he continued to preach, and in 1622, he was martyred by Calvinists who had surrounded him and offered to save his life if he would apostatize. He replied, "I came to extirpate your heresy, not to embrace it," and was killed with blows of swords. St. Fidelis presents an admirable example of fortitude and willingness to face martyrdom.

Vatican Apologizes for Anglican Service in Lateran Archbasilica - ATF Director Not a Firearms Expert
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Friday, April 21st - 2023 – St. Anselm of Canterbury
St. Anselm of Canterbury (1033-c.1109) was a Benedictine Abbot who became Archbishop of Canterbury. He was intrepid in his combat for the Faith and the defense of the Church against King William II, also known as William Rufus. St. Anselm was reluctant to accept the position of Archbishop of Canterbury due to the problems that would arise from the king's stubborn encroachment into the affairs of the Church. He argued that he was barely able to bear the load of an entire church, let alone mingle in temporal affairs. The Bishops responded that they would take care of the temporal affairs, and Anselm raised new arguments that he could not abandon his many obligations. The King, gravely ill, urged him to accept, warning that his refusal would result in the king's death. Those present accused Anselm of cowardice, and a Crosier was placed in his hand. As he held it, they shouted, "Long live the Bishop!" and sang the Te Deum. This event illustrates the struggle between the Church and temporal power, with Anselm's reluctance highlighting the tension between the two.

Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Thursday, April 20th - 2023 – St. Conrad of Parzham
Joseph Conrad was a Polish-British writer who lived from 1857 to 1924. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest novelists in the English language. Conrad was born in Poland and later moved to England, where he began writing in his late twenties. His works often explore themes of imperialism, colonialism, and the human condition. Conrad's most famous works include "Heart of Darkness," "Lord Jim," and "Nostromo."
Conrad's writing style is characterized by its psychological depth, philosophical complexity, and vivid imagery. He was a master of the English language, despite it being his second language, and his writing continues to inspire and challenge readers today.
Conrad's life was not without challenges. He faced poverty, illness, and personal tragedies throughout his life, but he continued to write prolifically until his death. His legacy has endured, and he is remembered as a brilliant writer and a pioneer of modernist literature. Conrad's works have been adapted into numerous films, and his influence can be seen in the works of many contemporary writers. St. Conrad of Parzham, Pray for us.

Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424

St. Galdinus of Milan (c. 1096 – 1176) was born into a noble family and was educated for the ecclesiastical life. He became the chancellor of the Church in Milan and was later made cardinal by Pope Alexander III. He was known for his humility, sweetness, and vigor in defending the Church against heresies. He died as the Mass ended, leaving behind an example of a counter-revolutionary knight who fought against the enemies of the Church with all his strength until his last breath. His death epitomizes the importance of resolute combat against heresy and revolution for the preservation of the faith.

Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Monday, April 17th - 2023 – St. Stephen Harding
St. Stephen Harding was an English noble who consecrated himself to the monastic life in the Abbey of Sherbonne. He later joined the Abbey of Molesme in France under the direction of St. Robert and Blessed Alberic, but when the monastery declined, they left with St. Stephen and 18 other monks to establish a new abbey in Cîteaux, known as the Cistercians. St. Stephen became the abbot and wrote the statutes of the monastery, which were approved by Pope Paschal II. He fought to maintain strict observance and prayed for novices, and eventually St. Bernard and his companions arrived, leading to the establishment of the Abbey of Clairvaux. St. Stephen died in 1134, known for his humility and dedication to the monastic life.

Female Inmates Reveal Reality of Transgender Inmates - New Exhibit on the Shroud of Turin
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Friday, April 14th - 2023 – St. Benezet of Avignon
St. Benezet of Avignon, also known as "Little Benezet" due to his short stature, received a mission from Heaven in 1177 to build a bridge over the Rhône River in Avignon, France. Despite having no resources or knowledge, he courageously went to the Bishop to inform him of his mission. The Bishop thought he was mad and sent him to the Governor, who also doubted his abilities. However, Benezet easily moved a large stone that 30 men could not, proving his mission was possible. With the Governor's support, donations poured in, and a confraternity of lay brothers was founded to help build the bridge. St. Benezet, known for his gift of miracles, directed and helped the builders. The Avignon Bridge was completed in 11 years, and other bridges were subsequently built by the Brotherhood of the Bridge Builders to facilitate travel for pilgrims, travelers, and the poor. St. Benezet's body was buried on the bridge and remained incorrupt for about 500 years until it was transferred to Avignon Cathedral in 1669. Through his remarkable achievements, St. Benezet demonstrated the power of Divine Providence and the greatness of soul that can be found in humble and seemingly insignificant individuals chosen by God for great works.

The Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria - Gun Safety and Preparedness
Catholic Drive Time - 877-757-9424
Date – Thursday, April 13th - 2023 – St. Hermenegild
St. Hermenegild was a Visigoth prince in Spain during the dominance of Arianism in the year 550. He initially followed his father, King Leovigild, in professing Arianism and was appointed to the throne of Seville. However, he converted to Catholicism through the influence of his Catholic wife, Ingund. When King Leovigild demanded that Hermenegild return to Arianism, he refused and was besieged in Seville for almost two years before fleeing to Cordoba and then Osseto. Despite offers of reconciliation, Hermenegild remained steadfast in his Catholic faith and refused to renounce it, even refusing to receive the sacrilegious Paschal Communion from an Arian bishop. As a result, he was sentenced to death by his father and was beheaded on April 13, 586. King Leovigild later repented and asked for forgiveness on his deathbed, and the martyrdom of St. Hermenegild is considered the first step in the conversion of all of Spain to Catholicism.
