His Most Holy Mother presented two men, St. Francis recognized himself as one of these apostles, but did not recognize the other. 2. **Next day:** In a church in Rome, an unknown person embraced Francis, saying, “You are my companion. We will work together, supporting one another toward the same end, and no one will prevail against us.” Francis recognized him as the other man from his vision, St. Dominic, who also had a similar vision. 3. **After the encounter:** Francis and Dominic attended a service at St. John the Lateran Basilica. A famous preacher, Fr. He was consecrated to God by his mother from birth and received a good upbringing. 2. **Education and Marriage:** Elzear received education in both eternal and human sciences, as well as martial arts. He became an accomplished knight and married Delphine of Glandèves. 3. **Life of Continence:** Elzear and Delphine chose to live a life of continence, despite being married. They both belonged to the Third Order of St. Francis. 4. **Military Success:** Elzear inherited the County of Ariano in 1309 and led an army alongside John, the brother of the King of Naples, against Emperor Henry VII, defeating him in two battles in Italy. For his victories, he received many honors and prizes. 5. **Role in Naples:** King Robert of Naples appointed Elzear as the head of the Counsel of the Kingdom of Naples, where he served as a judge with supreme severity against the guilty. He took care of the souls of those condemned to death. 6. **Tutorship:** Elzear was chosen as the tutor of Prince Charles, heir to the throne, indicating his influence and importance in the court. 7. **Balanced Life:** Despite his noble status, Elzear remained faithful to the Franciscan spirit and showed detachment. She was the fourth of twelve children in her family. 2. **Education and Religious Vocation:** In 1822, her parents sent her to a boarding school at Vans, and later, in 1825, she entered the novitiate after meeting Father Jean-Pierre Etienne Terme and expressing her desire to become a religious. 3. **Formation as a Novice:** Couderc underwent her novitiate in 1825 with the Sisters of Saint Regis, a teaching order in Lalouvesc. She made her perpetual vows on January 6, 1837. 4. **Co-Founding the Sisters of the Cenacle:** In 1826, Couderc, along with Father Terme, co-founded the Sisters of the Cenacle. The order was established to provide women with a place for recollection in solitude, prayer, and meditation. 5. **Role as Superior:** Couderc became the superior of the Sisters of the Cenacle in 1828. It was founded in the early 13th century. 2. **St. Peter Nolasco:** St. Peter Nolasco (1189-1256) was the first General Grand Master of the Order. When his coffin was opened, he was found armed with his armor and sword. 3. **Vision of Our Lady:** On August 1, 1218, St. Peter Nolasco received a vision of Our Lady who told him to found his Order. She held two bags of coins to be used in ransoming Christians in captivity. 4. **Order's Title:** The Order was titled the Order of Our Lady of Mercy for the Redemption of the Captives. 5. **Role of Knights and Clerics:** The Order had more knights than clerics at its foundation. Maria's deaf-mute daughter, Rosa, suddenly spoke and exclaimed that she saw a woman with a boy in her arms and two other children by her side in the grotto. 3. This event shocked the community, and although some were skeptical at first, the news began to spread. 4. A few days later, Rosa disappeared from her home and was found playing affectionately with a noble Lady and a Child in the grotto. In 722, a well-trained Muslim army, led by General Alkamar, was sent to destroy Don Pelayo and his men. 4. Don Pelayo strategically positioned his men along the cliffs at Alzeba Mountain, where they waited for the enemy to advance. 5. Don Pelayo sought the protection of Our Lady of Covadonga by praying in the nearby Cave of Covadonga, where a statue of the Virgin was placed. 6. St. Magnus of Füssen, also known as Magnoald or Mang, is believed to have been a contemporary either of Saint Gall (died 627) or of Saint Boniface (died 754). 2. There is little reliable information about St. Magnus, and the primary source is an old "Vita S. Magni," 3. According to legend, Irish missionaries Saints Columbanus and Gallus spent time with Willimar, a priest at Arbon. When Gallus fell sick, he was cared for by Magnus and Theodore (Magnoald and Theodo), two clerics living with Willimar. 4. After Columbanus's death, Magnus was sent to pray at his grave in Bobbio, where he returned with Columbanus's staff, and they followed his rule. 5. After Gallus's death, Magnus succeeded him as the superior of the cell. He was a priest from the Diocese of Augsburg named Tozzo or Toto, who invited Magnus to accompany him to the eastern part of the Allgäu. 6.
