Blue state Dems set to impose new (and unconstitutional) carry bans
The Supreme Court decision in NYSPRA v. Bruen warned against states trying to declare broad swathes of publicly accessible places as "sensitive spaces" where guns could be banned, but that's exactly what Democrats like New York Gov. Kathy Hochul are trying to do by imposing new restrictions on where gun owners can lawfully carry, including virtually all privately-owned businesses unless (in limited circumstances) business owners "opt in" to allow it.

SCOTUS decision on right to carry is a huge win for gun owners
The Supreme Court's decision in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association doesn't just declare all "proper cause" requirements for a concealed carry license unconstitutional, it casts major doubt on the constitutionality of gun control laws like bans on AR-15s and "large capacity" magazines that have no analogue in American history or the text and tradition of the right to keep and bear arms.

A "sensitive" question about the right to bear arms
If the Supreme Court strikes down New York's "may issue" carry laws in the coming days, anti-gun politicians and the gun control lobby are working to get a backup plan in place: banning the carrying of firearms in many publicly accessible areas by calling them "sensitive places" off-limits to our Second Amendment rights.

Democrats aim to bankrupt gun industry through junk lawsuits
From California to New Jersey, anti-gun Democrats are pushing new laws allowing for gun makers to be sued for the actions of criminals despite a federal law that was designed to prevent these politically-motivated lawsuits from going forward. The intention is clear; to bankrupt the firearms industry and deprive law-abiding Americans of access to their right to keep and bear arms.

Can the Senate gun deal be stopped?
With 10 Republicans agreeing in principle to a deal that includes increased spending on mental health and school security as well as offering grants to states that adopt "red flag" laws and including juvenile crime records in background checks on young adults who purchase firearms, there's a lot of momentum at the moment, and if 2A activists are going to successfully sideline the legislation, we can't just talk to ourselves.

Johns Hopkins University researcher Daniel Webster has admitted in an interview that even "universal background checks" won't have much of an impact on shootings and homicides, and should be seen as just the first step in a bigger round of restrictions on gun owners, including a gun licensing regime and mandatory waiting periods.
