'The Chosen' Tackles Olympic Blasphemy with Viral Pic of ‘Authentic’ Last Supper
With furor and debate still raging over the Olympics’ opening ceremony depicting what many have taken as a drag-queen-driven mockery of the Last Supper, “The Chosen” creator Dallas Jenkins offered up his version of the biblical moment — and left fans deeply encouraged.
Jenkins posted a powerful image of Jesus and the disciples at the Last Supper — a photo recently captured while filming season five of the hit drama about Christ’s life and ministry.
“Is this better than the Olympics imagery?” he captioned the photo, with thousands of followers replying and liking the post. Among them was actor Jonathan Roumie, who portrays Jesus in the show. He responded, “Emphatically yes.”

Olympics ‘Gaslighting’ Christians After Last Supper Blasphemy
Olympics ‘Gaslighting’ Christians After Last Supper Blasphemy
The opening ceremonies of the Paris Olympics mocked the sacred Last Supper of Jesus Christ with a blasphemous drag queen presentation over the weekend, fueling global outrage that finally forced Olympics organizers to issue a partial apology on Sunday.
Paris 2024 spokesperson Anne Descamps claimed on Sunday, "Clearly there was never an intention to show disrespect to any religious group... If people have taken any offense we are, of course, really, really sorry.”
Christians around the world were stunned by the disturbing image of seeing a sexualized recreation of Leonardo da Vinci’s famous "The Last Supper" painting.
From the Speaker of the House to billionaire Elon Musk to evangelist Franklin Graham, condemnation was swift and severe.
Graham warned, "Even more than being disrespectful to Christians, I would be concerned about being disrespectful to God. His Word tells us, 'Be not deceived, God is not mocked' (Galatians 6:7). Whether you're Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican, or Protestant, it is offensive."

The French Bishop's Conference, representing the country's Catholic bishops, called it a "mockery and derision of Christianity."
SpaceX, Tesla and X owner Elon Musk called it "extremely disrespectful to Christians."
And House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) posted, "Last night's mockery of the Last Supper was shocking and insulting to Christian people around the world who watched the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. The war on our faith and traditional values knows no bounds today. But we know that truth and virtue will always prevail. 'The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.' (John 1:5)"
Even Christian Actress Candace Cameron Bure felt compelled to comment on the monumental mockery of the faith.
"I didn't really want to weigh in on the Olympics opening ceremony publicly because I always risk becoming a headline," she said in an Instagram post on Sunday. "But it felt too important not to."
"The Olympic Games have always brought me so much joy. It's the best of the best athletes in the world competing for the title," she said. "So to watch such an incredible and wonderful event that's going to take place over the next two weeks and see the opening ceremonies completely blaspheme and mock the Christian faith with their interpretations of the Last Supper was disgusting. And it made me so sad."
But she went on to add a positive twist, sharing, "God loves each and every one of you and His desire is for you to know Him. I won't stop praying and calling on Jesus' name. Share the gospel message. Let this be an encouragement to be bold in your faith. Let us rend our hearts back to God, father of Abraham. Let us pray. And pray for the Christian athletes to shine their light for the glory of God."

Biden and Harris Want Ceasefire |CBN NewsWatch - July 26, 2024
JERUSALEM, Israel – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faces one more important meeting – at Mar-a-Lago with Former President Donald Trump – before he returns from a highly successful speech and series of meetings in Washington to the seven-front war against a myriad of Iranian proxies attacking Israel from Tehran to Yemen.
The prime minister’s 57 standing ovations before Congress attest to his unique ability to communicate, in excellent English, his government’s quest to pursue victory in the wars against Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran, as well as his hopes for the post-war future, which include a Middle East military alliance against Iran and an extension of the Abraham Accords.
WATCH Netanyahu Hails Israeli-US Bond, Reminds Protesters Israel the 'Land of the Bible' for 4,000 Years
His success was also measured – to some extent – by those seeking to depose him and his coalition government. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, who called on the Senate floor in mid-March for Netanyahu’s ouster and new Israeli elections, grudgingly attended his address.
The Biden administration, which put off any meeting in Washington with Israel’s longest-serving leader for the better part of two years, at last followed through with the optics of a Netanyahu meet and greet at the White House.
Vice President Kamala Harris, who must now, as her party’s presumptive nominee for president, navigate the treacherous intra-party split between fiercely anti-Netanyahu progressives and moderate long-time Israel supporters, did not show up for the Netanyahu address to the joint session of Congress where she would have presided (as she did recently with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy).
Harris did meet with the prime minister on Thursday, but JNS News reports that, according to a Republican National Committee account, “Kamala’s appearance with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu—after she snubbed his address to Congress—lasted a grand total of 14 seconds before the press was kicked out of the room.” Media members did manage to capture several photos before the 40-minute private meeting.
Benjamin and Sara Netanyahu’s appearances with families of Hamas-held hostages, including one with President Biden in the White House, have re-inflated hopes of a deal for the captives involving another prisoner exchange with Hamas.
The “hostages-first” policy has been pushed relentlessly for months by administration figures and media outlets in both Israel and the U.S., knowing that Hamas demands include an end to the war.
Netanyahu has held to the firm belief that only intense pressure on Hamas will compel the terror group to release the captives, and again on Wednesday night he stressed that the goal is victory.
The prime minister will return to Israel this weekend with a vocal minority marching in the streets every Saturday night for the end of his government, and Iran will likely resume the rocket launches from southern Lebanon and the Red Sea, and perhaps from Iraq and Syria.
Still, the man who broke Winston Churchill’s record this week for addresses to Congress will return with his government intact, knowing that he made his case for Israel’s future in the way that only he can – with a reminder that the people of Israel have a 4,000-year claim on their land.

Terrorism Warning Lights are 'Flashing Red'
Terrorism Warning Lights are 'Flashing Red': Experts Warn Biden Admin of Imminent Attack
As the FBI investigates the Trump rally shooting as potential domestic terrorism, over the last year, a growing number of national security insiders have predicted the U.S. faces an imminent terror attack.
According to top intelligence officials, three different terror threat level categories have been identified: international, domestic, and state-sponsored. They add, that right now, warning lights on all three, are flashing red.
"As I look back over my career in law enforcement, I would be hard-pressed to think of a time where so many threats to our public safety and national security were so elevated all at once," FBI Director Christopher Wray told lawmakers this spring.
In the wake of the October 7th attack in Israel, Wray says the international threat is especially concerning.
"These are terrorist organizations that don't typically see eye to eye, but they seem to be united in one thing, which is calling for attacks on us," he explained.
Senior defense officials echo Wray's concern. In March, CENTCOM commander, General Michael Kurilla, singled out ISIS-K gaining strength in the Middle East, with at least 5,000 fighters whose whereabouts are currently unknown.
"ISIS-Khorasan retains the capability and will to attack U.S. and Western interests abroad in as little as six months and with little to no warning," he told lawmakers.
"Most Americans have forgotten we remain at war against ISIL-K, and we've been killing a bunch of them, thank goodness," Harvard Prof. Graham Allison told CBN News.
2024: ISIS Network Helped 400 Cross US Border Illegally - Many of Them Are Now Missing
Allison served at the Pentagon in the first Clinton administration and recently joined former Deputy CIA Director Michael Morell in using Foreign Affairs magazine to send their message.
They write that lawmakers should not dismiss the instincts and expertise of government officials, whose past warnings led to government response.
"Before the year 2000, when the calendar was just turning over, there was a lot of concern because, in the terrorist community, they were talking about this would be a good time for disrupting the U.S...The intelligence community took it very seriously, President Clinton took it very seriously, and said, 'Do whatever you can.' So they went back and searched all of the traces of evidence about terrorists, and almost by accident found a piece of information about an individual who then was stopped when he was trying to drive his car across the border from Canada going to LA Airport, where he had explosives in his car and was going to produce a big terrorist attack," Allison recalled.
He also points to recent terrorism in Europe as significant. Russia has already seen two attacks this year. The first was in March, with ISIS-K attacking a concert hall, followed three months later by a deadly attack on churches and synagogues. ISIS, meanwhile, is threatening the upcoming Paris Olympics.
READ FBI Arrests 18-Year-Old in ISIS Plot to Murder American Churchgoers
"This same group, whom we're at war with, who we're actually killing, has made repeated statements about their intention to conduct a terrorist attack against us, so I would take them seriously," Allison said.
Here at home, individuals associated with Islamic terror organizations are crossing the southern border into the U.S. The FBI arrested eight men from Tajikistan just last month, all entered illegally, yet still underwent vetting before being allowed in.
"At this point, they're not worried about sneaking into the country. They are, they're already here. At this point, they're in the planning stages, or in the operational phase, where they're looking at targets," said the Hudson Institute's Michael Pregent.
***Please sign up for CBN Newsletters and download the CBN News app to ensure you keep receiving the latest news from a distinctly Christian perspective.***
As a former intelligence official, Pregent says 30 years of counter-terrorism experience leads him to believe America is most likely to experience an attack after the November presidential election.
"If I'm a terrorist leader, I don't attack before that. I get everything in place, you know, we see what happens with the election. I'll have people harass polling sites, and keep them from voting on Election Day...conducting an attack ahead of an election helps Trump so you conduct the attack during that lame duck period," Pregent told CBN News.
Both he and Allison stress that the president's primary responsibility as Commander-in-Chief is to keep America safe, and that must remain the priority, even in a chaotic election year.
Allison adds the Biden administration must act now as its predecessors, ordering the intelligence community to remain on high alert and not hesitating to launch a comprehensive counter-terrorism campaign.

Netanyahu Blasts 'Iran's Useful Idiots' Terrorizing D.C.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed a joint session of the U.S. Congress in Washington on Wednesday for the fourth time in his storied life of service to the state of Israel. With this wartime address, he surpassed Winston Churchill as the only foreign leader in history to speak to Congress more than three times.
The visit effectively left Washington on lockdown mode, especially around the U.S. Capitol, as anti-Israel rioters roamed the streets. Some tore down the U.S. flag at Union Station and replaced it with a Palestinian flag, and thousands of others gathered to protest the prime minister's handling of the war in Gaza, burning American flags and vandalizing monuments.
The Capitol and surrounding area were on total lockdown with sidewalks blocked off. And there was a huge law enforcement presence, not only of Capitol Police, but also more than 200 NYPD officers. Pepper gas was deployed when some members of the crowd turned violent and refused to obey orders to move back from the police line.

Elon Musk Flees California as Newsom Removes Parental Rights
California got rocked by a political earthquake today. Pro-family advocates are outraged over a new California law that pushes schools to deceive parents, essentially telling teachers and administrators to hide the truth about children's requests to change their gender identity.
In response to the new law, billionaire businessman Elon Musk announced he's abandoning California and moving his X (formerly Twitter) and SpaceX businesses out of the state. They'll be setting up shop in Texas instead. He said X will move to Austin and SpaceX will move to Starbase.
Musk's first tweet said, "The state will take away your kids in California."

Jonathan Turley: US In 'Most Dangerous' Anti-Free Speech Era
Free speech expert Jonathan Turley believes America is in the midst of its "most dangerous" anti-free speech era, calling President Joe Biden the "most anti-free speech president since John Adams." Turley, a George Washington University law professor and the author of "The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage," told CBN News the assaults on free expression today are uniquely troubling, citing a triangular dominance in media and other spheres.
"We've had these periods of anti-free speech movements before, but this is the most dangerous," he said. "And the reason is because we've never seen an alliance like this, where the government, corporations, academia, and the media joined together in this attack on free speech." Turley lamented newspaper columns framing the First Amendment as being "out of control," and highlighted what he said is a movement among some academics to "rewrite the First Amendment."
"What we're seeing is, perhaps, I think, arguably the most dangerous anti-free speech movement in our history," he reiterated. "We cannot assume that, even though we've gotten through all of the periods discussed in [my book "The Indispensable Right"], that we will get through this one."
When asked to weigh in on long-held perspectives from many conservatives and Christians that Hollywood, media, and universities hold a bias against their views, Turley offered a candid response. "I think it is most certainly true," he said. "I have a long chapter on higher education and it details how much we've lost. I would never have imagined when I started teaching three decades ago that higher education would be this intolerant."
Turley charged that "universities have largely purged conservatives, Republicans, libertarians," and that many faculties fail to employ many — if any — people who subscribe to these views. Watch to see what else he has to say on the matter.
