We finally installed the Pergo Wet Protect flooring in our 14x14 DIY home addition. We had to fight the baseboard to get the last few pieces in. So we really wanted power outlets on our kitchen island so we could use a variety of items on it instead of just on the normal counters. Since our island was just the cabinets and no extra built out framing in combination with the fact that all three cabinets had drawers top to bottom it made it a little more tight than a typical island. We found the solution to use these special outlets to get power exactly where we needed it. Hopefully this helps you if you are in the same boat. I planned on bending the metal using a makeshift method but it is nearly impossible to get clean bends in the metal without using a brake. Good afternoon everyone, we have been shuffling the rooms around in the house as we are renovating. Tuckers room will now be downstairs and it needed a few things in it. We replaced the carpet with Pergo flooring, replaced an old window, ripped out and replaced an old closet to include the doors. We also needed new paint and since we4 had to paint we figured why not mess around with some drywall work and wire a ceiling fan since there was not existing wiring in this room.

Just a few quick clips of snow blowing from the storm we got over the past 24 hours. It was only about 4 inches in our area. Less impressive than they were talking about. Here is how we built a completely custom closet just using 1x12 pine which is pretty affordable at any store. For this project we also used a miter saw, impact driver, and a brad nailer. You guys! We finally knocked out the attic insulation in the 14x14 diy addition. We used paper faced batts for the bottom layer and used unfaced rolls for the top two layers. Well its getting pretty nippy in the morning here in New Hampshire so we needed to get this done! We used Foam it Green Closed Cell spray foam packs, we used a 200 ft pack and another 600 ft pack. This stuff is not cheap but definitely more affordable than buying multiple 200 packs from your local big box store. We went with this so it would be sealed since it is exposed underneath and we waited too long to call and see if we could have a spray foam company do it for us.
