The event was held at Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan, with ticket prices ranging from $225 to $500,000 Several protesters disrupted from inside the event, and a large group of pro-Palestine demonstrators was outside before, during and after the fundraiser, criticizing Biden and his supporters and calling for a ceasefire in Gaza

Chaotic scene tonight outside a multi-million-dollar Biden fundraiser in New York City, after police moved through a crowd of pro-Palestine protesters gathered across from the venue. The event, which featured Biden and former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, was met with a large protest outside from demonstrators calling for a ceasefire in Gaza and an end to U.S. aid to Israel.

Vice presidential candidate Nicole Shanahan speaks after RFK Jr.'s introduction of his running mate for his independent 2024 presidential bid. Shanahan is a California-based attorney, philanthropist and president of the Bia-Echo Foundation, which according to its website invests in areas of "reproductive longevity & equality, criminal justice reform and a healthy and livable planet." She also founded the legal tech firm ClearAccessIP. Shanahan married Google co-founder Sergey Brin in 2018. The two had a daughter together before divorcing in 2023. Shanahan is also a prominent donor who helped fund the Super Bowl commercial promoting RFK Jr.'s candidacy last month, giving $4 million to the American Values 2024 PAC that paid for the 30-second ad. She has previously donated to Democrats, including Ro Khanna, Marianne Williamson and Pete Buttigieg.

A man leads protesters in a pledge to not vote for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris at a pro-Palestine rally held earlier this month in Detroit. The demonstration came shortly after a large number of voters in Michigan’s Democratic presidential primary chose ‘Uncommitted’ instead of Biden, with many voicing frustration over the Biden Administration’s continued support for Israel and calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. Over 100,000 cast a vote for ‘Uncommitted’ in the Michigan Democratic primary, numbers large enough to win two delegates to this summer’s Democratic National Convention in Chicago. While still carrying the state overall, Biden lost to the ‘Uncommitted’ option in Dearborn and Hamtramck, both cities with large Arab American populations. The demonstration comes amidst continued opposition to Biden from pro-Palestine activists, who have protested his appearances at various cities around the U.S. in recent months, including a February trip to the southeast Michigan city of Warren.

The resolution approving the honorary naming states it is “intended as a gesture of solidarity, remembrance, and compassion for the lives lost in Gaza”. The renaming will not affect official postal addresses along the street.

Three of the men found not guilty on all charges after being accused of providing support for a plot to kidnap the Governor of Michigan spoke out last Friday at a Washington Day Dinner hosted by the Grand New Party PAC. The men - Eric Molitor, Michael Null and William Null - were all found not guilty by a Michigan jury in September 2023. Over a third of those charged in the plot were ultimately found not guilty, while nine others were convicted. The remarks included discussion of the trial, the FBI's involvement in the plot, federal informants, and future plans post-acquittal. The men received "Courage Under Fire" awards from the Grand New Party PAC alongside Lucas Gerhard, who also spoke at the event.

A tornado tore through Grand Blanc, Michigan early today, touching down in Grand Blanc Township before making its way through the city overnight. Several buildings and homes were damaged in the area, with wires and large trees downed and gas lines uprooted. Many residents were without power Wednesday morning as cleanup efforts got underway. No injuries or deaths were reported from the incident. A few area roads remained closed as of daybreak on Wednesday morning. An assessment by the National Weather Service with a determination of the tornado’s strength is expected soon.

The scene along the U.S.-Mexico border in Eagle Pass, Texas, where razor wire has been put up near Shelby Park and National Guard have been deployed to the area in an effort to deter illegal immigration. Texas Governor Greg Abbott stated Sunday that over 100 miles of razor wire have been erected by the National Guard, championing measures implemented by state authorities. A conflict has occurred between Texas and the Biden Administration over U.S. Border Patrol access to Shelby Park, which is located by the U.S.-Mexico border along the Rio Grande. A recent Supreme Court decision allows the Border Patrol to cut or move the wire, though a legal battle between state and federal authority continues in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

Pro-Palestine protesters gathered outside a Biden event with UAW members in Warren, Michigan today, demonstrating in support of Palestinians and against Biden’s support for Israel. Demonstrators chanted against Biden and called for a ceasefire, with some tensions ensuing as demonstrators pushed forward against police to move closer to the event, which was held at a union hall in Warren (just north of Detroit). Police retreated towards a line of officers in riot gear, where faceoffs ensued with protesters outside the event. The line of officers in riot gear later swapped places with uniformed officers without riot gear on, who themselves eventually backed away further, after which protesters marched away from the area. The event comes days after the President received the UAW’s endorsement in his reelection campaign, with UAW President Shawn Fain joining Biden in Warren today. Demonstrators held signs including some reading “Abandon Biden”, with protesters vowing not to vote for Biden in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

Demonstrators gathered this morning in Norfolk, Virginia for the start of a ‘Take Our Freedom Back’ convoy towards Eagle Pass, Texas. Vehicles departed just before 9 am Monday morning, with various stops in the southeast United States planned before rallying this weekend near the U.S.-Mexico border.
