[TRAILER] 2x SILVER STAR PILOT | JIM BEGGERLY
He opened a newspaper and saw a photo of an A-1 Skyraider and said, "I want to fly that." Little did he know the legendary future that awaited him at the controls of that airplane.
Jim Beggerly served 21 years in the US Air Force and was awarded 2 Silver Stars, 6 Distinguished Flying Crosses, and 22 air medals.
After the war in Vietnam, he became an instructor and re-wrote the pilot training course for the Air Force. The course he wrote is still in use today.

Jim Horsely | Navy combat and Blue Angels pilot, and artist
He fell in love at first sight with a sleek fighter jet. And that infatuation led Jim Horsely's aviation career to quickly advance as he fought the NVA in north Vietnam, performing harrowing missions and narrow escapes while many of his friends didn't. Back in states, he was accepted into the elite ranks of the Navy's Blue Angels as demostration team pilot. For two years he travelled the nation performing in the then state-of-the-art A-4 Skyhawk.
He's now retired, but found a similar passion and dedication to the art of painting. Though trading yoke for brush Jim finds his dedication needed for both are similar and rewarding.

Bob Sanders | USMC Vietnam Veteran
Bob Sanders trained for the jungles of Vietnam and commanded a platoon in a Provisional Rifle Company on the outskirts of Da Nang. The action he saw in his first week convinced him this would be different. The pain and regret still show as he remembers and talks about lost friends and comrades he lead to the end of his tour. His story continued when he joined the 5th Force Recon and underwent highly specialized training.
While not always easy to share your story, Bob shares his with us.
