MUST DO! Your Side Effects from Medications - Critical to Include in Social Security Disability case
In Social Security Disability cases, Medical Evidence is everything (nearly). Side effects from medication can be very important, yet most pro se folks leave them out even when asked about them. They can effect your case in a positive way. The SSA-3368, SSA-3441, SSA-3373, etc. All those reporting opportunities. Take a watch/listen on how to get them in.

Small Back Pay? When SSI Back Benefits Check Seems Way SMALL, Check this!
Small Back Pay? When SSI Back Benefits Check Seems Way SMALL, Check this!
It is never pleasant to receive a back benefts check that completely contradicts your expectations. It MAY be wrong because the SSA MAY be relying on "misinformation" when plugging in the numbers. It can be fixed, often times, with the right evidence. Or, as explained HERE, it may be because of HOW they pay you... learn it here and what to do about it if you need to.

Child's Benefit - From Two Parent's Records??
OK, so TD sends this:
"We sure appreciate you. My question is regarding a minor child's benefits. If one parent is on SSDI and the minor is receiving benefits, then the other parent retires does the minor child receive benefits from both ? Thank you ever so much."

"Should I APPEAL to Appeals Council or REFILE a Social Security Disability SSD Claim? WHEN YOU MUST!
Sometime we have choices, Appeals Council on just-ALJ-denied claim, or start afresh with a new filing. The pros and cons are in a different video, but here we note when you really do NOT have a choice and MUST file an Appeals Council request for review (appeal) or forever keep yourself NOT collecting benefits.

Medicare Advantage TIP! Appealing that Denied Prior Authorization Tends to WIN!
Great suggestion by Suze Orman, after looking at the numbers on denials and overturns. Medicare Advantage plans have their benefits, including some monthly savings, while also disadvantages (no pun intended). The need for Prior Authorization is what most may consider a negative. That said, turn it into a positive! Take a watch/listen.

Medical evidence, hugely strong, is a must... but there is an important place for lay person statements in a Social Security Disability or SSI claim. Function Report Destroyers - Can't I Just Assume Time Frames For My Abilities?
As they say about assuming... well, let's not go there. Here is some strategy to consider when in a Social Security Disability Case or SSI case, when answering several of the questions on the Function Report.
This is particularly so with:
No.5 Do your illnesses, injuries, or conditions limit your ability to work?
No. 20 Please explain how your illnesses, injuries or conditions affect each of the items you checked. (For example, you can only lift [how many pounds], or you can only walk [how far]).
