Golden Retriever is a talented escape artist
Willow the young Golden Retriever is pretty smart, teaching herself how to open the front door so that she never misses a chance at a car ride. The owners of this dog kept thinking their front door wasn't latching properly, because every time they turned around Willow was outside! They decided to lie in wait to see what was happening and this is what they discovered - Willow is seen opening the door by herself and then running to the garage, expecting to go for a car ride!

Dog can't stop smiling while sticking head out car window
This dog's smile is infectious! There's no dog on the face of the planet that can resist a moving car's open window, and this adorable golden retriever is no exception. Every time Willow goes for a car ride she almost begs to have the window lowered for her. She enjoys watching the scenery go by, but loves it when she sees other animals. She wants to greet every animal along the way and make them her life long friend.

Golden Retriever takes the meaning of "corn dog" to a whole new meaning
Ever since Willow, the golden retriever, was a young pup, she would always hop up onto a small shelf under the dining room table whenever her owners were eating. She would never beg, but she would sit quietly under the table until everyone was done eating. Often, Willow's owners would find her sound asleep under the table after they were finished their meal. She was so cute!
Fast forward 5 years, and Willow is still crawling up on that small shelf, despite her being a full grown dog! It takes her a while to climb up on the shelf, wiggling herself around until she is finally settled in. Now that she's full grown, her muzzle often finds its way into your lap during dinner. She's still as cute as ever.
The summer harvest is starting to yield fantastic corn on the cob this year and tonight Willow was treated to her very own cob of corn. Will she eat it like a typewriter, or does she go around the world? Watch the video to see! In no time flat, she's expertly eaten that cob of corn - her hoomans couldn't have done it better!
Good girl Willow!

Baby tree frog seeks human warmth on frosty night
Nature can be such a beautiful and fragile place.
While out for a hike, a tiny green dot was spotted along a busy highway. Looking closer revealed a beautiful female Gray Tree Frog hopping towards the roadway from the safety of the tall grass in the ditch. Even in the summer, cool and frosty nights cause even the smallest of animals to seek the warmth of area roads and highways.
In an attempt to coax this little lady away from the road, she hopped onto his outstretched finger and then settled down into the warmth of his hand. The video starts shortly after she snuggled in.
The Gray Tree Frog, Hyla Versicolor, is native to Canada and the United States and is typically found in the upper reaches of arboreal trees. It's a rare sight to see one down on the ground like her. Gray Tree Frogs are fascinating in that they can change their colors to match their environment. Although they can't change their colors as fast as a chameleon, their colors can range from bright green to dark grey or black.
After a quick break and warming up, this Gray Tree Frog hops off of his hand and back onto the shoulder of the road. A few quick prods of the finger causes her to hop back to the safety of the tall grass. What a treat to see!

Fisherman Catches Majestic Bonnethead Shark
It was a hot and sunny spring day in March on the gulf beaches of Fort De Soto Park in beautiful Florida. North Beach was filling up fast, but three enthusiastic fishermen took advantage of the day to do some shore fishing. The fishing began slow until something hit one of the fisherman's lines hard. His two friends brought in their lines dropped their rods on the beach and ran over to give their friend a hand.
With his rod bent over, the battle with the unknown sea creature began. The battle raged for approximately 10 minutes when a fellow beachgoer took out his phone to record the final few seconds of the fight. When the unknown sea creature was finally brought into shallow waters, it was discovered that the fisherman had a bonnethead shark on the end of his line! The fisherman worked quickly to bring the shark to shore, in order to free it from the hook and safely return it to the warm waters off the coast of Florida. What a thrill of a lifetime to land one of these majestic sharks from shore!
The bonnethead shark is found in tropical and subtropical waters on both coasts of North America, from North Carolina to southern Brazil, including the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico, and from Southern California to Ecuador. It lives in estuaries and shallow bays with mud or sand bottoms and in coral reefs. It primarily eats crustaceans but has been known to also eat clams, octopuses and small fish.
Fortunately for the beachgoers as well as the fishermen, the bonnethead shark is harmless to humans!

Rescued baby squirrel eats and cuddles for nap
This poor baby squirrel was found cold, hungry and hairless on a couple's side porch in mid spring. Initially the couple left the baby squirrel to see if his mother would locate it and return it to the nest, but after a few days it became apparent that this baby squirrel had been abandoned by it's mother. We're not sure why this baby squirrel had been abandoned, but it was clear that he needed help. Otherwise it would not survive the cold spring climate.
When the baby squirrel was first found, he was hairless, which made it easy to see that he was quite skinny and needed food and water. It was cold and shaking. Taking the baby squirrel into their home, they began caring for and feeding the squirrel, giving him a warm place to live and grow. Slowly over time, he began to regain his strength.
We can see in this video the baby squirrel is being hand-fed from a syringe and at one point, takes the syringe into his own hands to feed. His little hands are adorable! He has one voracious appetite. After the squirrel has a full belly, he hops down to the blankets below, searches for an opening in the blanket and cuddles in for a well deserved nap. Sweet dreams baby squirrel!
Squirrels can sometimes lose their hair for a number of reasons, such as mange infections brought on by nest mites, fungal infections or it can be inherited from their parents. There is very little we can do to help with this condition. Over time the hair will gradually grow back in the absence of the conditions that caused it.
