Japan's largest news outlet, NHK, aired a one-hour segment on August 28, 2024, reading out COVID-19 vaccine injury stories it had received from over 2,000 of its viewers. We clipped together just a few of the stories.

In an April 11, 2024, press conference in Cambridge, Ontario, Premier Doug Ford said he has asked regions and municipalities across the province to assemble land for potential industrial investment purposes, which appears to include 770 acres of farmland in Wilmot Township, just outside of Kitchener, Ontario, between Nafziger Road, Bleams Road, and Wilmot Centre Road. The Canadian Independent visited Wilmot Township shortly after Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s press conference back in April 2024 to investigate what is happening and who would be affected by this land grab. We learned that this land grab would affect precious farmland that amounts to 582 football fields in size, includes six farm owners, and would disrupt or decimate a significant portion of agricultural activities in the area. Nobody we spoke with at the time could tell us why the region wants the land; the region remains tight-lipped about why they are attempting to take the land and will not say if there is a buyer or not. We visited Mountainoak Cheese back in April, which is affected by the land grab. They are an award-winning, highly reputable dairy farm and a fair-sized cheese production company that sells a wide range of cheeses locally from its storefront. Mountainoak Cheese also supplies its products to hundreds of major and independent grocery stores, as well as various other businesses across the province. They told us they were approached in March 2024 with an offer to buy their land at an unreasonably low price per acre and that the region’s plan was to start levelling the farmland as early as August 2024. At that time, none of the six landowners were willing to sign any agreements, leaving everything in a state of uncertainty. The Canadian Independent attended the protest to check in with the farmers and get an update. Today we learned that the region has successfully purchased roughly 20% of the 770 acres from one farm owner, destroyed $160,000 in crops that were almost ready for harvest, and is continuing to pursue the remaining 80% of the land. We also learned that the farmers have been trying to obtain freedom of information requests about the purpose behind the land grab but have been consistently denied. So it begs the question, what is the region hiding? The Canadian Independent will continue to monitor this story and bring any updates. Newbury, Ontario - Charles Colhoun was a fit, active, and healthy man who worked for Hydro One for most of his life and eventually went on to be a short-haul truck driver. He enjoyed dancing, travelling, and racing cars in his spare time. In 2021, after receiving two doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, Charles collapsed within two weeks after his second shot and was taken to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with CIDP, an autoimmune disorder that is a chronic, relapsing, paralysing disease that causes inflammation of the peripheral nerves. To manage his condition, Charles now undergoes weekly blood plasma exchanges to remove autoantibodies from his blood. Shortly after, Charles was also diagnosed with skin cancer and required surgery, which has shown some improvement with treatment. Charles was forced to quit his job due to his vaccine injury and lost his home, his beloved race car, and virtually all his possessions. Today, he lives in a rundown barn under horrendous living conditions, with no toilet, shower, or running water, and struggles to make ends meet on Canada Pension and Old Age Pension. Charles applied to the federal government's Vaccine Injury Support Program, which acknowledged a connection between the COVID-19 vaccine and his injury and awarded him only a very small amount of compensation. After a recent legislative session, Nassau County has now officially passed a new mask ban into law. The purpose of the bill is to prevent people who commit crimes from concealing their identities, especially during protests. The ban classifies the violation as a misdemeanor offence, carrying a penalty of up to $1,000 in fines and a maximum of one year in jail. The law makes exceptions for individuals with religious or health reasons but broadly prohibits wearing masks in public spaces. New York Governor Kathy Hochul recently suggested in a press conference that she might implement a mask ban on New York City Transit. Additionally, other state legislators are exploring similar mask restriction measures.

Senator Ron Johnson, during a recent committee hearing about “oversight of U.S. taxpayer-funded high-risk virus research,” revealed that in 41 months after the roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccines, there had been over 1.6 million adverse events reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). Johnson stated that there have been over 37,000 deaths following COVID-19 vaccination, and of those 37,000 deaths, 24% occurred on the day the individual received the vaccine or within two days. Dr. Robert Redfield, who was the CDC Director between 2018 and 2021, testified to the committee that the COVID-19 mRNA injections can “induce a very strong pro-inflammatory response, which is problematic,” and that there was “not appropriate transparency about the potential side effects of these vaccines.” Redfield also noted that there were “inappropriate decisions by some to try to underreport any side effects because they argued that would make the public less likely to get vaccinated.”

State of Kansas files lawsuit against Pfizer, alleging it misled the public about the safety and effectiveness of its COVID-19 vaccine. Kansas Attorney General Kris W. Kobach has filed a lawsuit against Pfizer Inc., alleging that the pharmaceutical giant misrepresented the safety and effectiveness of its COVID-19 vaccine on social media and its website, circulated misleading information about its COVID-19 vaccines, and engaged in censoring social media discussions critical of its vaccine claims. The complaint, filed on June 15, 2024, in Thomas County, states that actions or statements made by Pfizer's Chairman and CEO, Dr. Albert Bourla, and Board Member, Dr. Scott Gottlieb, are attributable to the company. Pfizer is accused of circulating misleading information about its COVID-19 vaccine through its website and social media platforms, impacting millions of Kansans. The complaint alleges that Pfizer marketed its vaccine as effective in preventing virus transmission without reportedly conducting studies to verify this claim. Pfizer is accused of knowingly promoting this falsehood before, during, and after the COVID-19 vaccine rollout. Additionally, the complaint alleges that Pfizer knew about the vaccine's diminishing effectiveness over time and its limitations against new virus variants but allegedly did not disclose this critical information. The state argues that by withholding these details, Pfizer may have influenced perceptions of the vaccine's long-term efficacy and safety. Safety concerns have also emerged within the state, with accusations that Pfizer suppressed data related to adverse effects linked to its vaccine. The state argues that by purportedly downplaying safety risks, Pfizer may have misrepresented the true implications of its vaccine's use. In a targeted advertising campaign in May 2021, Pfizer reportedly capitalized on COVID-19 fears among Kansans through Facebook ads promoting its vaccines as "life-saving." The complaint suggests that these advertisements exploited public anxieties for commercial gain, reaching a significant audience in the state. Financially, Pfizer's alleged misleading claims have purportedly resulted in substantial economic gains within the state. Reports indicate that Pfizer generated approximately $75 billion in revenue from COVID-19 vaccine sales over a two-year period, bolstered by global demand during the pandemic. Furthermore, the complaint accuses Pfizer of engaging in censorship efforts to suppress social media discussions critical of its vaccine claims. The state argues that such actions could undermine transparency and public discourse on vaccine-related issues, potentially eroding public trust in pharmaceutical companies and health authorities. Attorney General Kobach in his filing demands that Pfizer provide documents and a detailed response within 30 days, addressing the alleged misrepresentations. The lawsuit seeks to hold Pfizer accountable for its claims and omissions, potentially leading to significant legal and financial consequences for the company.
