I'm getting ready to make the second of three knives.
One of the limitations I have is the ability to accurately do a deep grind on the blade. I need to better utilize the tools I have. By adding the improved tool rest, I should be able to better control the grinding process

Rockler's Beginner's Pen Turning Kit - My First Pen Turning - Let's Figure This Out
I want to make a seam ripper for a gift, but to do so, you sort of need to know how to turn a pen.
To turn a pen, you will need a number of specialized pieces of equipment and hardware. Since I didn't know where to start I went to Rockler (not a sponsor) and asked a few questions.
I was very happy to discover Rockler (not a sponsor) has a pen turning kit which contain everything I needed to turn a pen and some of the stuff I need for the seam ripper.
This video is my experience using the Rockler Beginner's Pen Turning Kit.

Harbor Freight Portable Generator Propane Conversion - With Parts List - Let's Figure This Out
I've had this old Harbor Freight portable generator around for years. Every now and then I need it and when I'm done, I have to de-fuel it otherwise it may not start when I need it.
By converting it to a tri-fuel (Gasoline, Propane & Natural Gas) I can have a bottle of propane ready all the time as I won't have to worry about it going bad like gasoline.
Here are the parts I used for a 3000 watt . Your generator may require different parts, but this will get you headed in the right direction and not suffer the delays I had while waiting for additional parts.
I bought most of these parts from Amazon and I don't get anything from you buying these parts. Just copy and search each one.
Tri-Fuel Conversion Kit: Nature Gas Propane Tri Fuel Conversion Carburetor Kit for Predator Harbor Freight 3200 4000 Watts Gas Generator.
Adjustable Pressure Regulator: GasOne 2109-RED 4 ft High Pressure 0-20 I Adjustable Regulator with Red QCC-1 Type Hose-Works with Newer U.S. Propane Tanks.
Brass Hose Adapter: Anderson Metals - 07004-0606 Brass Hose Fitting, Connector, 3/8" Barb x 3/8" Male Flare (Fits the above regulator)

Safari / Astro Van Door Handle Replacement - Without Removing the Door Panel - Let's Figure This Out
I replaced the driver's side door handle last year and did it the traditional way in which you pull the door panel off.
This time I wanted to try something different. I saw a video by Jerry Williams where he claims to be able to change the door handle in under 13 minutes. Well, he did.
Here is the link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKTjbh82L3k&t=196s

GMC Safari / Chevy Astro Van Sticking Sliding Door - Let's Figure This Out
Ever since I bought this van, I've had to open the sliding door with 2 hands. As you can image this is very annoying when you're carrying something.
The first thing I did was to inspect for broken parts or parts with excessive wear. Not finding anything obvious, I starting spraying everything with a lubricant.
Much to my surprise, this solved the problem.

Correcting Very Dim GMC Safari / Chevy Astro Seamed Beam Headlight - Let's Figure This Out
I usually don't drive my 1997 GMC Safari at night. The other night we were coming home from the airport and were taking backroads which have no street lighting.
The headlights on the van were awful. It appeared only the passenger headlight was working but when we got home I check and both were working. Well, sort of. The driver's side headlight was considerable dimmer.

Woodturning a Seam Ripper From Bethlehem Olive Wood - Let's Figure This Out
This seam ripper was made with Bethlehem Olive Wood - From Bethlehem, The Holy Land.
The Olive Wood Tree is a subtropical, broad=leaved, evergreen tree, which has edible fruit. The tree ranges in height from 10-25 feet or more and has numerous branches. In October, the trees are pruned and the wood is sold to craftsman.
Many of these trees are over 300 years old and some have been growing since the time of Christ.
No trees were damaged or destroyed during the process of harvesting the Olive Wood.

Woodturning - Lathe (Delta 46-460 With Casters) / Old Dog Ramp - Let's Figure This Out
The shop in my southern location is only 75 square feet so I added casters to my Delta 46-460 Wood Lathe so I can take it outside and use it. The problem is I have steps to deal with and the lathe is just too awkward for steps.
Also my dog is getting pretty old so anything I can do to help her out, I will.
So I need to make a ramp. I've never made a ramp and I also want to use materials on hand. That will help de clutter my small space and keep me from going out into the public.
